“We had our family dinner here and enjoyed the food and ambience. Their service was great. They brought shearers for our table and helped my young daughter with her sweatshirt. We enjoyed the jellyfish, fish with shepherds purse, and shengjian bao. The skin of the xiaolongbao was a little thick, but the flavor was good.“

“A place reminds me of Shanghai — not those fancy places in Shanghai but neighborhood eatery. Servers are friendly. Busy on a Sunday for lunch. Have to wait for 25 min. Strong recommend Shanghai small wonton. Very similar to what I can find at any street vendors in Shanghai. Soup is light. Wonton is the right size. Pan friend buns are not fried right. They don’t look like the ones in Shanghai and fillings have too much soy sauce to it. New York flushing has more authentic ones.“

“Came on a Sunday around 7pm and there was still a line but we were seated within 15 mins so not terrible. They use QR scanning on the table but the servers do come around to check if you have questions. We ended up seated outside, which wasn't bad since it was a bit warm that day.

We ordered the regular soup dumplings (XLB), the pan fried ones, (SZB), the egg and Chive pancake, and the green onion noodles (recommended by the server). Both baos were excellent and we ended up ordering seconds of both of those. The chive pancakes were pretty good and the noodles were tasty as well but we felt that for the price, it wasn't worth it.

We'll likely be back again but stick to the baos.“

“This cozy breakfast spot specializes in Shanghainese comforts. Service is brisk and no-nonsense. We ordered a few staples — wontons, noodle soups and xiaolongbao — all of them competent and satisfying.

The pork kidney noodle soup is a rarity in the United States, though here the kidney is cut thick and left unstir-fried, so it contributes less flavor to the broth than it could. It is better treated almost as a side than as an integral part of the soup. The xiaolongbao are tasty, if more rustic in appearance than the finely pleated versions served at more polished places like Din Tai Fung.

Still, this is an honest, unfussy restaurant well worth returning to.“

Service was fast, dinner for 4 with leftovers was a hundo.

Love their pork wrapped with tofu skin, soup, and noodles. Good textures, although do lean a little sweet for Shanghai food.

Pretty cheap for the quality and quantity. Can be a little oily so get more veggie/soup dishes to balance your palate.

Usually have at least a couple tables open and fairly quick service.“
