I ordered a half dozen Morro Bay oysters but my main came before them, which I thought was odd. My main was perfectly prepared sand dabs that somehow had no flavor. My companion's fresh catch, rock white fish, was drab. The sides, brussel sprouts burnt beyond recognition and maple glazed squash that was flavorful but a little underdone for my taste. My companion's sides were rudimentary, spinach and potatoes. We skipped dessert as they no longer offer the mint chip sundae. Our server was disinterested and although polite it felt forced. The snafu with the timing of the oysters was a problem for me.“

“Lemmo's grill is a new find for me. What a great place! We were greeted and seated quickly. The food was fantastic and the service was perfect. Calamari was awesome and the marinara sauce that accompanied it was a wonderfully rich and complex. Ordered steak medium rare.....and it was medium rare. It was seasoned perfectly and delicious. The people may have been the best part. Family owned and operated the owners were present, helpful and extremely nice. if you are looking for a big chains and mediocre service and food. Give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed!“

The salmon was perfectly seared on the outside while remaining moist and tender inside, with just the right hint of seasoning and citrus. The vegetables were fresh, lightly sautéed, and had great texture—clearly not an afterthought. As for the pasta? Cooked al dente, rich in flavor, and coated with a savory sauce that hit all the right notes. Everything felt homemade, not mass-produced.
