“This is my neighborhood Starbucks. I love the cushy seating but..the other high top table and chairs I don't like bcoz very uncomfortable. The music should improve to more new wave and not so loud. The service is very good.Kid-friendliness: There are tables and chairs that are perfect for families that are not high top.“
“The food was good, but a little pricey for breakfast. The service was pretty good until the waitress went on break and didn't tell us. There was no backup coverage. I would have preferred to sit inside because it was cold that day, but we would have waited longer since it was busy when we arrived. This was my first time dining at Sunrose.“
“I recently visited Tang and Java and was blown away by the exceptional experience they offer. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff, and it was evident that this is a place that values customer satisfaction above all else. Not only do they offer high-quality items, but their commitment to using locally sourced ingredients adds a level of freshness and authenticity to their menu that is truly commendable. What's even more impressive is that Tang and Java is a women-owned business, which makes supporting them even more meaningful. It's inspiring to see such dedication and passion reflected in every aspect of their operation.Whether you're looking for a delicious cup of coffee, a tasty pastry, or a satisfying meal, Tang and Java has something for everyone. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing their fantastic offerings for yourself. You won't be disappointed!“
“Keyri made the cob salad, which was honestly the best salad I've ever had in my entire life. The lettuce was fresh and crispy and with dressing tossed in it was close to perfection. Giving 4 stars because trying the second time I got a piece of fatty pinkish chicken on my plate. I have a feeling it wasn't made by her, because the Cobb was different the second time around. “
“We came to Malibu with a larger group for my sister’s bachelorette. We booked at Taverna Tonys because we heard about the good vibes, belly dancing, and live music on the weekend. Let’s just say this place did not disappoint!Great food, fantastic service, fun Greek wine & the best vibes! We danced the night away. The staff seemed to be having just as much fun as we were, which is always great to see. Overall amazing experience from the first interactions with the hostess, to the great drinks at the bar, the wildly impressive backservers carrying our huge trays of plates and the fun server! Thanks again. We will be back!“
“I had heard so many good things about Moody Rooster that I was worried it could be overhyped. Nope. Not at all. Amazing would be an understatement describing my recent visit to Moody Rooster. The place was poppin and really good energy on a Saturday night. The service was impeccable, and our servers recommendations were on point. I was feeling special so I ordered the ribeye special. This was by far one of the best steaks I've had in a really long time. It was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was so tasty. The duck fat potatoes have me drooling just thinking about them. The caramel budino was the perfect dessert to top off a truly delicious and impressive meal. I can't wait to come back.“
“Food is absolutely delicious, as others have said, it's so "real" looking and tasting you have to re-read the "100% Vegan" on the menu to convince yourself. All 6 staff members we encountered were incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely like being there. Nice, quiet atmosphere allowed for conversation. Overall exemplary experience and I can't wait to go back!“
“It's good and very unique if you're not used to this type of food. I think it's Israeli. Caution that the bowls contain a ton of hummus. The pita and falafel are wonderful. Our baby loved the pita. Torshi wasn't my style. Also they gave me a side of eggplant instead of fries but the eggplant was fire although very salty. Good fast service. Next to Gelato place.“
“My wife and I had a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at Munay. Their special was an amazing four course dinner with some of the best Bruchetta we've ever had, veggie bisque, we split an outstanding Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes to die for and some of their pesto pasta, and finally had a fun chocolate mousse/white chocolate shell dessert that with what seemed to be spun sugar that they lit on fire. The staff were fantastic, welcoming, and quick. The ambiance was fun Valentine's Day hearts and pseudo candles in a warm environment.Overall, it was an outstanding experience and we can't wait to return soon.“
“Love love love Ferretiz Grill! They have the best California Benedict! The staff are really personable, and they tend to recognize you only after a few times of going. I've noticed they remember most of their costumers, which I find really sweet. The waiters are also so kind, great service. Really homey feeling place, and the prices are good for what you get! Feels like a hidden Simi gem.“
“We always enjoy sitting on either patio and the heater lamps made it very comfortable. Our server was very pleasant and provided excellent service. The bus staff is always courteous and professional. The charcuterie board is a favorite of ours and is beautifully presented and delicious, especially the honey, a nice touch. My son always orders the steak, which is consistently cooked to perfection. A wonderful dining experience except for the table next to us which was conducting a loud FaceTime call , rude and lacking in consideration for others around them. Didn't stop us from enjoying our wonderful meal and great service.“
“I really enjoyed the place, it was an amazing experience and the dubbel Bier is great, thanks to having a nice and welcoming brewing company, another excellent point is the games to kill time, when you brew some beers the experience is magnified.I'm just counting the time to come back in any available time that We have to visit!“
“West Tasting Room in Thousand Oaks is simply amazing! From their fantastic wine selection to their delicious pizza and delightful cheese boards, every bite is a delight. The service is top-notch, making every visit a memorable one. We absolutely love it here! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!“
“They make a chicken piccata that melts in your mouth. And the tiramisu is the best I've ever had and I've had it all over the world again, it melts in your mouth. I live in SHERMAN OAKS and I would drive to Malibu anytime to eat here.“
“I ordered lobster tacos. The lobster meat is cooked perfectly, the cabbage gives it a crunch, and I like the spiciness from the chipotle aioli. This atmosphere reminds me of dining out in Mexico. Superb service. I recommended all to try this place.“
“What a pleasant surprise! I went to little calf for lunch and let me tell you this place is GOOD!! They make their own potato chips and maybe the bread it was so crispy and light. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. I highly recommend!“
“My mom and I were in Malibu touring a college and we got hungry on our way back home. We decided to stop here to grab a bite to eat. The menu has lots of options, the food is fresh and cooked to order, the staff is pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back!“
“Favorite stop for a coffee beverage. Fast and friendly service with a nice seating area inside or out and a swift to go service. There is something magical about the fizzante.Parking: Good options with quick turnaround. Makes to go coffee a breeze.“
“What a great craft cocktail bar. Amazing drinks made by true bartenders. Atmosphere is great. There is no food, but you can go to Bad Ass Tacos next door and bring it over. Small place so plan your arrival time accordingly if you want a table.“
“The vegan falafel was wow!! Perfectly crunchy yet moist. The hummus and salad were so fresh and flavorful. The grape leaves were superb. Every mouthful was an explosion of flavor. Wow! Wow!! Wow!!Service was also amazing. The owners and their grandson as very welcoming.“
“Stopped here while visiting from Florida. Such a cool vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Amazing peach pudding with vanilla ice cream and friend artichokes! The ranch they paired with it was amazing! Some amazing menu items to try.“
“Ramen connoisseur that’s been to Japan and traveling around US. Focusing on Ventura I’m stuck between Hoshi Ramen and Kansui.Kansui has better Egg and stable broth.Hoshi Ramen has better broth/character (extra egg too). Both are fantastic options and recommend going back and forth because both provide different experiences.Atmosphere in Kansui nicer while Hoshi more hole in the wall but hole wall feels more homely. (Preference)I’ve been trying both for the last 4 months before this review. I just really love ramen and want to give my thoughts on who has best ramen in the area. Both are top notch but provide different experiences, I prefer hoshi cause broth more defined but damn Kansui egg easily the best very impressed.I wrote this review on my 3rd visit, each time ramen was great quality“
“After trying a few pizza places in the area… We’ve believe we found the one! The pizza is flavorful -the sauce is flavorful. The meatball sub has good sized meatballs and is well flavored. There is something for everyone in this world and this place is for us!“
“If you have yet to try Historia Bakery Café in Thousand Oaks, you're missing out on some truly great coffee creations. The beans are perfectly roasted, and unusual menu items like Los Cubano (double shot with brown sugar and crema) and the Blueberry Lavender Latte are a real treat. Don't forget the actual treats, though. Omfg, the pastries. All are, in a word, incredible. The lemon bars are subtly sweet/tart, not overpowering, and the croissant creations are expertly flaky. Also fantastic are the breakfast sandwiches. All of this is enough to keep us coming back, but today we spent some time chatting with Robyn, the delightful proprietress. This amazing woman works 7 DAYS A WEEK, and her commitment shows in the warm atmosphere and truly spectacular food and bevs. Run, do not walk, to check out Historia! If you're not impressed, you may want to have your taste buds tested!“
“Old Place was such a cool experience! The food was delicious. The portions were huge. The service was impeccable! Highly recommend getting the thick cut bacon for your appetizer! We split the ribeye! Cooked to perfection! We felt like we stepped back into time and can't wait to dine here again!“
“Found this amazing Boba spot in Thousand Oaks! I had an intense craving for some jasmine milk tea, with boba of course. So I googled the nearest spot from where I was on the 101 back from Calabasas. Had no idea this existed but I'm so glad I found you! Found my new boba stop on my commute home. So many unique & delish flavors that the owner encourages her employees to come up with to feature each month. What a great way to get employees engaged! Cute little spot.“
“After stumbling upon Uncle AF’s International Sandwich Shop on Yelp’s recommendation list and noting its proximity to my home, my son and I decided to indulge in a lunchtime adventure here.Service was swift, friendly, and personalized, with the owner’s son manning the counter and extending a warm welcome to us. The seating area is cozy, with a mix of tables, bar seats along the window and wall, and a communal table for larger groups. A few tables outside offer a sidewalk dining experience, albeit in the midst of a bustling strip mall environment. The menu boasts a selection of 10 tantalizing sandwiches and Paninis, accompanied by French fries, prepackaged chips, snacks, bottled sodas, and iced teas. While the sandwiches lean towards the pricier side, ranging between $15 and $20 each, their size and quality justify the cost, although location might play a role in the pricing. The sandwiches exceeded my expectations in size and flavor, generously filled with meats and toppings, and served alongside a sizable portion of fries. It’s worth noting that when ordering with multiple people, all items are served together on one tray, which might not suit everyone’s preference. The ambiance is straightforward yet inviting, with a cheerful yellow, black, and white color scheme adorning the walls adorned with travel quotes, adding a touch of wanderlust to the dining experience. However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with an unstable table, and a closer attention to cleanliness around the register area would enhance the overall dining experience.Despite these minor hiccups, Uncle AF’s International Sandwich Shop offers a flavorful journey through its diverse menu and welcoming atmosphere, making it a worthwhile stop for a satisfying meal.“
“The ambiance of this establishment exudes an enchanting charm, evidently crafted with immense care and a keen eye for detail, transporting one into a realm akin to a mystical garden. The culinary offerings were exceptional, both in flavor and presentation, contributing to the overall delightful atmosphere. Our server, Ashley, epitomized professionalism and warmth, attending to our every need with attentive and gracious service. Her engaging demeanor and meticulous attention greatly enhanced our dining experience. Individuals like Ashley are truly a rarity and add immeasurable value to the hospitality they provide.Thank you,Rozi“
“Some restaurant menus make me feel good, prompted by good ingredients, spotless floors and a staff that understand that it’s as hard to keep a customer as to create a new one.Other places, and you probably know of a few, offer a lot of pastas and entrees, or maybe a few signature dishes that make a place unique, but disappoint when overpaying for a lower experience. I wish them well. But some restaurants surpriseme. I just had lunch at Basta, in Agora’s Whizzin Market and gotta say I’m surprised, and a little miffed.Sure the staff are great with each one genuinely happy I came in. They even smiled. The atmosphere is open, inviting, warm and has a great combination of Mexican blues, warm tones, and wrought iron.I’ve never been here before as Whizzin Market is a little out of the way for me.But in spite of all the reasons it should have all been in the feel good category, my lunch went another direction.I had originally thought to order one of the bowls which cater to veggie, meat, or fish prefs. The Jidori Chicken Bowl seemed my speed which I asked about. My server, Cruz asked if I wanted the roast chicken or the bowl?Roast Chicken is my comfort food and I lost my mind for a beat. Then committed a classic amateur restaurant goer move:The panic order.“Roasted, please,” I heard myself say. Cruz refilled my coffee and disappeared. The dice now rolled, I waited. The chicken was good. No, not just good, but magnificent. So good I felt a mix of relief, surprise and annoyance. None of this was directed at the staff, Basta’s management, or the even the poor chicken.First, being from a small town in Indiana originally, I’ve eaten chicken at least 23x a week since 1970 and I’ve never tasted chicken like this. From the light golden sauce to crispy skin, it was ideally cooked and served immediately. I had no idea. No exaggerating.Second, that this lunch in terms of price point is a super value. Check the menu when you stop in, but you’ll find Basta a wonderful value for the level of care and attention to it all.All that to say, I’m so mad I haven’t been here earlier. Regardless of the distance, it should have been on my list.Consider yourself warned you may feel the same.Parking: Get here early if Canyon Club has a show.“
“Found this place on accident. Surprisingly delighted by their offerings and the quality. First, let me tell you that the large sandwich is worth two meals. But don't let me tell you how to eat their food...just let me tell you what I ordered. I have been here twice. I ordered something different each time. First time, I ordered I got the Americano. Second time, I got the italiano. Omg!!! Both sandwiches knocked my socks off. Chock full of high quality meats and cheeses...and the toppings were an absolute delicious complement to the sandwich. The bread is fresh and soft and a perfect delivery tool for the amazing ingredients. When you get here, there will probably be a line. But it moves very fast. Don't be discouraged. Just get in line. The person taking your order knows all the sandwiches very well and they are happy to help you navigate the menu if you need it. I went with five friends. We all got a different variety of sandwiches. Everyone was pleased. This place also serves as an Italian market. Lots of nice offerings. Including containers of sauces and frozen pasta's and even lasagna. Great idea to take some of these well-made ingredients and make some thing. Fabulous at home. They do have specials. Usually a half sandwich and a side for about the same money as a large sandwich. So, it depends on if you are good at managing leftovers or just want enough food to finish in one sitting. I haven't made my way around to the lunch specials because I'm still working on their specialty sandwiches. Hot tip: get a side of the Italian dressing to dip your sandwich in. OMG! It's so good! They make it in-house and it is very obvious that they put a lot of love into each of their things even their Italian dressing. Are you still reading? Get your butt over there and order something. Don't forget I told you a large sandwich is a lot. Have a great day! I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my friends did.“
“In-n-out is a 5 star experience not to mention the 5 star low price tag. For those who dislike anything that has a scent of California attached to it, from the deep south states to the east coast, those same people clammer for an original taste of In-n-0ut.Dietary restrictions: Protein style burger: lettuce replaces the bun.Parking: In-n-0ut is a favorite of every town and is busy most of the day, so parking can be a challenge.Kid-friendliness: Kids and families are welcome. Casual setting.Wheelchair accessibility: Most to all facilities are wheelchair accessible and have several wheelchair accessible parking stalls.“
“Ok so I am pretty new to the Thousand Oaks area and have been on a hunt to find a great coffee shop. I’ve made a list and have tried a good amount of local shops but to be honest haven’t been too impressed compared to trying coffee in the deep of LA. I was craving a smooth expresso for some reason this Saturday night and decided to continue my search and figured I’d give California Coffee a try. It was a little hard to find because it’s tucked away in a cute little alley next to brewery’s and beautiful lights. I tried my classic iced vanilla latte and my barista who I didn’t get his name (had a pretty impressive beard) asked me how I liked my coffee which I have never been asked before. This coffee was elite, super smooth, and velvety. I LOVED IT. I will definitely be coming back and thank you to the kind bearded barista that made me such a great latte. Definitely come here if you are a coffee snob like me and looking for amazing expresso, a cute atmosphere, and superior service. :)“
“The place is set up as a counter order and not a full service place. They do have indoor and nice outdoor seating area.We got the he combo plate 1/2 beef and chicken. With salad and rice as the side dishes. I am from Chicago area and we have great mediterranean places!Meat flavor was ok, very light flavor, we also felt the meat was too er cooked and on the dry side. Rice had little flavor and salad was fine. One nice thing is that they offer gluten free wraps!Food taste 3 out of 5Food quality 3.5 out of 5Service 4 out of 5It’s not a bad place, I just much better quality and more flavorful mediterranean food. It’s worth a shot, but if you used to super high-quality Mediterranean food, you might walk away, feeling a little disappointed.“
“Wonderful place on the beach!! The breakfast spot is different than the brunch & lunch. The service was excellent. All the servers are kind, gentle and polite people and everyone was serving every table, there was no difference at all .. it was an absolute true meaning of "TEAMWORK". The food was also very delicious. The carrot cake was phenomenal also the chicken sandwich, that we wanted to save it for later as well! This place is a definite "Yes" !!“
“First time here, the people are nice food was delicious. Second time, the gentleman taking my order was super nice, i would highly reccomened for nice, friendly service with delicious food! My boyfriend loves the wild west burger, i enjoy the rock and roll burger doubled.Update: March 2024Food is still so delicious! Staff was super friendly and the place felt really clean. Spent under $20 for a dinner for two, plan on going back sooner than later.“
“The Lucky Dog Cafe is my go-to coffee place in Simi Valley. The staff are wonderful, friendly and proficient. The coffee is outstanding, the baked goods are tasty. There is good indoor and outdoor seating in a very pleasant atmosphere. The lucky dog is pet friendly, and even though I don't own a pet, I enjoy having the occasional dog around. I highly recommend it.“
“Definitely one of those hidden gems. Google maps had me thinking I was driving to the wrong spot. Pizza was great. Got the hot honey pizza. Personally I would've liked more heat, but the pizza was really good. Beers were great as well. Great spot to chill and watch a game.“
“One of the best BBQ spots in Simi Valley! Love this spot! I usually end up going with the Tri Tip Sandwich (the roll is garlic bread) combo that comes with 2 sides and a fountain drink. I got the baked beans and mac & cheese. The meal was absolutely delicious! They have several BBQ sauces here and my favorite is the Whiskey Habanero BBQ. Check this spot out cause it rocks!“
“I've been here twice now and I must say I am very pleased. The first time I got one of their pastas I got the rigatoni and spicy vodka sauce and it was a creamy delight but just the right amount. I went again for my moms birthday Friday night and ordered the Parmesan crusted halibut and it was perfectly cooked, moist, well seasoned, and cleverly balanced with the amount of parmesan on the crust of the fish. Their wine list is wonderful too providing excellent reds/whites/roses from highly rated regions so the pairings with the food helps balance out the flavors nicely. Very happy with both experiences and would highly recommend this place!“
“First there are so many interesting flavors here that you will find yourself pondering which flavor/flavors to try. You will just have to come back because it's impossible to choose everything you like. Examples are Lemon cookie, Salted caramel, Elvis, Fig marscapone cookie butter. They are always bringing in different flavors to try so you can't get bored!“
“We tried several items on the menu and all were amazing. Blueberry muffin, pizza, avocado toast with salmon, fresh made baguettes and chocolate croissants. Meet the owner and she was so sweet. Even though she was busy, she stoped and chatted with us. Totally recommend this restaurant.“
“Had a wonderful time for a bridal shower. Unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of the beautiful patio due to the weather but they created a beautiful indoor space for us. The food was delicious, highly recommend the ahi tacos. The black beans were a bit bland though but everything else was tasty.“
“What a little jem. Found this restaurant randomly while house hunting in Thousand Oaks. So warm and enviting. The food tasted homemade and so delicious. Curtomer Service was more than ideal. You felt transported somewhere else where staff are simply so friendly and attentive. Already vame back twice withing 3 weeks.“
“Wow, I don't know how I got so lucky to find this secret gem tucked away in the canyon, but I am so grateful for it! I was looking for some BBQ Super Bowl weekend and this showed up in my search. I made an order on their website for Super Bowl specials, drove up the next day, and showed up to find a beautiful pop up with a nice outdoor setting, huge smokers, and the nicest people. The whole operation looked like a labor of love because you can feel how the people running it care about what they're doing, who they're serving, and making damn sure they do it well. Everyone at the party enjoyed the brisket, chicken, and pork ribs along with all the sides and sauces. You literally can not go wrong with anything you order on the menu. We'll be back for more! Thank you so much for sharing your passion for bbq with us!“
“We went on a Sunday during the farmers market around ten AM. Our first time visiting. I ordered the cloud surfer coffee which tasted lovely and had the tuna sandwich. It tasted good but was dry. The fruit was excellent and the Tajin was a nice touch. My friend ordered the special berry toast which was slightly burnt. My sister ordered the scramble with no onions. It had to be remade because they included onion the first time. She's allergic. Most of the employees were thoughtful and kind. My sister burnt her mouth on her Chai. She told the employee with long blonde hair and glasses that the drinks are too hot and she got burned and the employees response was "yeah it's hot". Later she brought our other drinks to the table, and not only didn't greet us, but didn't even say which drink was which. She didn't say a word. Dropped the drinks and left. This is the type of employee to run your business into the ground. I wouldn't want her as my coworker either. I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and say she was having a bad day. All the other employees were super helpful. I want to come back to try the tacos. Sitting outside is super nice. There's a QR code that you can order from and they bring your food to you. Super convenient. It is very busy at noon and parking is a mess due to the farmers market. Good for bike riders, families and yes you can bring your dog and sit outside. Thankful for this vegan cafe, despite the one person trying to ruin it for everyone else....“
“Chagaccino was 8$ wow .. It was overpriced but at least a good one.Lots of seatings . Great view !!Keto Tiramisu was devine - p.s. I need the recipe ahhww i could eat it every day! (Pricey as well for my taste at least - but seriously I need the recipe , someone contact me!!) ?Vegetarian options: Keto , High protein options“
“I have wanted to try The Baker's Daughter for a while now, but they are closed on my days off from work. Today, the stars aligned, and I was able to meet some friends for breakfast. All I can say is wow! I can't wait to go back.Everything looks so delicious and inviting. I ordered the Green Eggs & Prosciutto Tartine and a lavendar latte. The latte was perfect. The lavendar flavor was very subtle but enough to give the latte a nice flavor. My tartine was delicious. The flavors of the pesto, ricotta, prosciutto, and egg blended beautifully together. The sourdough bread was the perfect base. My friend ordered the Croque Madame and was very pleased with her order. She commented that the flavors melded well together. I also ordered some Pao de Queijo, which is a small cheese roll. It reminded me of something I had in Argentia called chipá, which is very similar. These were cheesy and delicious. I would go back just for these alone - they brought back memories of my time in Argentina. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and made sure we were taken care of. You order and pay at the counter, and they will bring the food to you. There are some community style tables you can sit at inside and a few tables outside. They were baking and selling bread consistently the couple of hours that I was there. Each day, they have different breads available. Their Instagram account is a great place to get all of the info you need about what is available. There were also different pasties and cakes to choose from. They were baking fresh croissants when we left.Like I said, I can't wait to go back. This is such a lovely little bakery in Simi Valley that I hope sticks around for a long time.“
“I've dined here a number of times especially when I worked in Agoura Hills. Urbane Cafe is my favorite place for healthy eating during lunch and dinner hours. I usually order the salads, but they have a great selection of soups and sandwiches, the sandwiches made with freshly baked focaccia bread. The bread is served with all meals. Recently had the Keto Cobb Salad with chicken and it was superb served with a blue cheese dressing. Plenty of good seating here, service is timely and overall ambiance is welcoming. There is a kids cafe and a nice vegetarian menu. Highly recommend the Urbane Cafe.“
“11 years passed since my last review, and this restaurant just keeps getting better. I'm getting into its salads, especially the Italian with hard-boiled eggs. The Greek with feta is also very good. I gotta recommend trying the mozzarella sticks. They're a must.“
“K wave. You must come here one time.Cafe's atmosphere is comfortable and it made me calm down.It is a good place to read books or do something with your laptop.I strongly recommend you to visit here.I found a good place to enjoy as like I had enjoyed in South Korea.Enjoy other food, especially Bing-su (snowlike ice powder with any toppings)I should try it next time.“
