“This review is just for the Sichuan Hot Chicken which I've eaten twice. Overall it's pretty good, but it's not great, and I really want it to be great. In concept this is a really thoughtful and well-executed sandwich. It has great veggies and really crisp, juicy chicken. It reminds me of what I had in the night markets in Taiwan. The breading is good too, although I feel it could be a bit thicker.

Where it falls short for me is in flavor. The Sichuan spices are there, but they are overpowered by the sheer amount of chili powder and salt that the chicken is breaded in. I was looking for more in the sauce as well - honestly maybe just adding more sauce would accomplish that. If I could get more of that peppercorn flavor, less salt, and more sauce, I think it'd be a 10/10.“

“They are DELICIOUS. The marketing/design of the product is great. They even super conscious of the environmentally when it comes to the packaging. Would by again! I got the sauce trio and the sumac. There was a problem in transit with two of the products. Customer service was top notch. Sent replacements right away. Ethical and amazing company.“

“(4.5 rounding up) We walked in to a clean space that you could def eat in at. The man at the cash register was super kind and friendly. He gave us some tea while we waited for the food which did take a tad longer than I expected bc no one else ordered before us visually but then 2 people came by for the their pick up orders so we will do that next time.

Husband got the plate and I got the wrap for chicken shawarma and it was good! Not better than my own imo haha but it actually does taste like 85% similar.

It’s partially on us bc we did take out and had to run an errand before we could eat so it was a tad soggy and it had a slight spice to it I didn’t care for but for reference I don’t even like black pepper so take that statement with a grain of salt (pun unintended).

I will def come again and order the same thing but maybe request to not have all the extra stuff inside bc as a Lebanese I prefer my shawarma with as minimal things inside as possible. I was also definitely missing my pickled turnips 😩“

“This place is located in a very inconvenient area however the wrap I ordered from here was very very good and probably one the best wraps I’ve had. I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap which came with a hefty amount of lamb. The other filling was lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and yogurt sauce. Alongside the wrap it comes with hummus and side salad. All the veggies were super fresh and crisp which surprised me! I say surprised because everything else is sitting out on warmers as if you were at Subway ordering a sandwich. Some items looked like they were sitting for awhile and I ordered my food/visitied relatively earlier in the day. That threw me off a bit and I wasn’t expecting much from the wrap but it shocked me. Very tasty and I absolutely would order it again!“

“Put it in two words. Dam good. Had a lot other Ethiopian food, but this one tops them all in Bay Area. Plus the prize is much understandable.“

“I love this place and go at least once or twice a month..My wife loves the chicken shawarma either the plate or the wrap..I love the falafel, and the lamb shawarma..This time I hooked up with a dear friend, she and I ordered the lamb shanks..the serving is huge!! Wonderful rice, and a separate plate with yogurt , cucumber sald and a cabbage salad..tremendouws value, but to much meat for me..So I am sticking with my go to items mentioned above...We had the Kanefa(?) it was not the best i have had..that was in Dearborn, but my friend di not care for it, so the baker gave her two more different dessert servings..so typical of the genorisity of this place. I grew in this neighborhood and must say or Muslim neighbors eatery is a welcome addition!!“

“We had a fantastic experience hosting an event at Pomella. Mica and the entire staff were absolutely delightful to work with and so incredibly supportive. What incredible food, service and ambiance.“

“Ate with a group of friends and we all ordered different dishes (to share), everything was delicious, my favorite was the falafel wrap. I then asked for a mixed box of deserts to go... We all whole heartedly enjoyed a mix of sweet, syrupy, sticky pastries... 100% recommend for a chill spot with great food and excellent service“

“Yesterday was our first time here. Staff was friendly & helpful. Ordered a chicken rice plate, shrimp rice plate and a Gyro. All of it was tasty. We all agreed we would gladly eat here again. We sat on the street, watching the world go by while shoveling in the delishness. Affordable & we paid with card. Could use some fresh paint & some deep cleaning though. “I have eaten here every day for the last 5 days, twice today - something I have never done anywhere else in my life, and I'm almost 73. The food is delicious and nourishing, and the owner and the people who work here are warm and delightful.“

“The chicken halal plate from this place is Beyond DELICIOUS! If you like halal food, you won’t be disappointed eating here. It’s pretty good. The block it’s in can be sketchy at times, so practice caution when parking, stay alert and quick purchasing. They also have really good herbs, seasonings and products to purchase.“

“I recently visited Bab Al-Yemen to enjoy some Yemeni cuisine, but unfortunately, my experience was tainted by an unpleasant incident. The food was actually quite good, especially the rice and grilled chicken, which were well-prepared and flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant was also nice, although it could be improved in certain areas.

However, I encountered an issue that made the overall experience uncomfortable. There was a large SUV parked in the handicap parking spot outside the restaurant, but it wasn’t displaying the required disabled placard. I pointed this out to a woman who seemed to be involved with the restaurant, and instead of addressing the issue, she began harassing me. Despite leaving the restaurant, she continued her aggressive behavior, which left me feeling upset.

It’s unfortunate that what could have been a pleasant dining experience was overshadowed by this incident. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the situation, as I believe customers should feel safe and respected when they visit.“

“I give the highest caterer recommendation to Ikaros To Go (catering by the team that ran Ikaros restaurant). They planned and managed a very delicious memorial dinner for us for approximately 75 guests. The customer service and food were excellent - our menu included roasted salmon, vegetarian mousaka, rice, Greek salad and garlic bread, plus dessert of Baklava and sugar cookies which everyone also loved. They also handled dinnerware, water, lots of set up and clean up, soft drinks and pretty bottled Greek waters for the tables. They were extremely considerate, thoughtful, flexible, organized and reliable. Ikaros to Go went above and beyond and made our event very special. We are very grateful - Thank you Ikaros to Go!“

“Good size portions of good food at a good price. Great location too. They will see me again many times. Limited menu, but that’s not a bad thing. Perfect before or after a show or event. Plus they are open late.“
