“If you’re going alone be prepared to pay extra, I have no idea why. They have American Kobe which seems like an oxymoron but is still quite good. Overall a good experience but ended up paying more for a single patron than expected. Fountain drinks are also served in cans so no refills.“

“I really wanted to love my burger, but it tasted kind of fishy maybe it was cooked on the same grill as some seafood. The staff, though, was super sweet and you can tell it’s a loving, family run place. I don’t live in the area, just passing through, so I probably won’t be back. But if you’re into Hawaiian food and culture, definitely stop by and check it out. It’s easy to get in and out of, and there’s plenty of parking.“

The staff is attentive and friendly, always helping to change the grill or add charcoal. “First time walking into this spot, and let me just say—what an experience! I came in to try the oxtails, and they did not disappoint. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, flavorful, and not overly fatty. Paired with the Jamaican rice, which was soft and fluffy, it was perfection.

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff shows true hospitality, making you feel right at home. I also tried one of their Jamaican drinks—refreshing and packed with flavor, definitely a must-have! The empanadas with spiced meat had just the right kick to balance everything out.

If I had one small critique, it would be the plantains—I think if they made them fresh to order, it would take them to the next level.

Overall though, this place is a gem in Oceanside. Pricing is fair, portions are generous, and the food quality is phenomenal. For me, it’s a strong 9.2/10 and an easy 5/5 stars. If you’re craving authentic Jamaican food, this is THE spot to check out!“

Ordered the small chicken katsu and a thai Boba tea.
-Small orders come with one scoop each of rice and macaroni salad.
-Chicken was so crispy! Macaroni salad was decent, added some of their spicy chili oil and it was tastier.

Overall small order a good portion size for one person.

Location had lots of parking, inside was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. Lots of seating inside for a smaller looking establishment.

“This is the place!!! We eat here couple times a week. Love the bbq and katsu chicken, it’s always perfect!! Try the gravy on the katsu, life changer. Garlic shrimp is life, Teri beef and musubi make my family happy. The Mac salad is 10/10 and the staff cares about your experience! So lucky to have this in our neighborhood!! Malasadas, Lumpia, fried chicken skin!! Let’s go to L and L 🤩🌟 eat the Kalua with cabbage, yum!!! I’ve cheesecake and Hawaiian juice all the flavors❤️“
