“We were promptly greeted by Andrew immediately upon arrival. He was cheerful and patient as each person in my party ordered separately.He did not even seem bothered that I asked him to upgrade the drinks to the frozen lemonade, even though he had to reopen the order and go back in to manually delete them.I appreciate him and all the associates there who helped us and provided courteous service. He even checked on us to see if we liked the food.All the food was correct in the order. The chicken sandwich was tasty and fresh; the 2-piece meal was wonderful - fresh, crispy chicken served piping hot with creamy mashed potatoes and flavorful gravy. The wings were saucy and sweet with a mild hint of heat, and the chicken tenders were light and crispy. Even the fries were hot and crispy. Everything here was good, and we all enjoyed the pleasant helpfulness of the staff.I wondered about the mid Google Maps rating but overheard another customer telling the associate that the new cook is excellent. He said that the food previously was not up to the present high standard. His exact words were, "The food is on point!" Rest assured, the food and service we received was of the highest quality.Be advised that this restaurant is located within a truck stop, and other restaurants share the dining area.The truck stop is bright and clean, and I saw families and kids. Trucks park in the back. The whole place was quiet for a Saturday and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant.P.S. We drove out of our way to get to this Popeye's because the first one did not have an "A" from the health department, and it was well-worth the drive. Thankfully, this one does have an "A"!P.P.S. The food looks much better in person. I took the pictures on an Android phone, lol.“
“Picked up an online order. The girl at the counter didn't even make eye contact. I even ordered a drink and she asked me if I said fries, which tells me, she wasn't listening. Her demeanor was as if I were an imposition. The food, however, was amazing! 5 stars for the cooks, ZERO stars for service.“
“You can't go wrong with Popeyes fried chicken. I think it is the best fried chicken compared to other fast food chicken establishments. The breading is flavorful, crunchy, and thick and the inside is always tender and juicy. Of course it isn't healthy - it's the first fast food restaurant I've been to that has a warning on their packaging - but it is delicious.I have only ever used the drive-thru at this location, but I rated ambiance based on the clientele outside in the area. I would not choose to eat inside at this location.I don't know what is going on atthis location, but they seem to often be out of certain items. Maybe it's due to the post-pandemic worker shortages or supply chain problems nationwide, but they don't always have all the items. One of the cakes remains on the menu but they have never been in stock since I've been coming here.Also, they do okay with the orders, but last time they forgot the side of mac and cheese and it's a 15 minute drive so it wasn't worth it to go back. (We did check the order before we left, but only for the main dishes.)They also would not accept a promotional coupon that said "good at participating locations," so I guess they are not a participating location, and I wouldn't say they were especially pleasant or friendly here, but as I said, the food is great.“
