“Wow, what an amazing chorizo breakfast burrito! This was my first time at LJ's. The quality of the ingredients was seen and smelled before the first bite. Then came the crunch of the tots which triggered a taste and experience of freshness along with a perfect blend of other flavors from the other ingredients all perfectly balanced proportionally. I had a different chorizo burrito this weekend (another 1st time try at a place close to my house) but it had soggy hash browns (so much that I had to surgically remove some) that really overshadowed and ruins the burrito. This burritos was awesome! I also highly recommend trying the sauces. The hot orange sauce was my favorite then the cilantro cream. The chipotle was also rich and creamy. Thank you LJ's for a yummy burrito experience!“

“We had a casual business lunch at John's Place because of its location. A couple of us came from Corona and one joined from Mission Viejo. We asked the counter staff what they'd recommend and they suggested the gyros and burgers, so we ordered two gyro plates and a cheeseburger! The gyros were very tasty though there was a little bit too much of the white cream for my taste. Veggies were fresh and the french fries were outstanding! The cheeseburger was large and tasty and the onion rings were crispy, almost to a fault. A great middle ground find and I will return!“

Beer selection is great...almost as large as the food menu. I have always had good service at all of the Finney's I have been to for lunch or dinner... Orange, Brea and Camarillo. Great restaurant!! Andrew was incredibly helpful throughout planning stages with regular email exchanges and phone calls to ensure we were aligned in the food expectations and overall experience. The night of the event he was there onsite to ensure we had everything we needed and Savannah oversaw the service. She was impeccable and our 30+ guests were treated with great care and attention. “What a great place! Stopped for lunch with my daughter. I had the Super Burger and she had the Patty Melt. Both were fantastic. Our server was so nice and attentive. “Good cozy tavern bar. Small place, good spot to stop on your bar hopping day. The food is too expensive tho. The turkey sandwich was dry and the fries were over cooked and too salty.

If it gets really busy it can be hard for the solo bartender to get back around to you. Over all go check it out.“

“We ordered a honey ham and two turkey breasts for pick-up. Our order was ready on time, but we were stuck in traffic trying to get there before the place closed. We called from our car and explained our dilemma.

As it turned out, we managed to arrive with about 10 minutes to spare. One of the servers had kindly bagged our order and set it in the fridge for us, assuming we likely have to pick it up the next day.

When we arrived, we received a warm welcome as we claimed our order. Nice people. Friendly service. Tasty food. Would definitely order from here again.“

“Old classic American steakhouse. Bartenders are outstanding and pour a good drink not your standard 1 oz. . The Owners Jeff and Steve have greatly improved the place the last several years. I've seen their business increase. The food is very good and competitively priced. Some comments I read earlier that it was overly priced they must go to Denny's a lot. The weekends get packed. Sometimes 1-2 hour wait for dinner. They have entertainment on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. They also have great Happy Hour specials M-F. I'm just another happy customer that has been coming in for years.“

“A great place to go retro to the age of train travel. And, its aside the RR tracks from LA to Oceanside and San Diego. Restaurant and bar have outside seating along the tracks but you can sit inside and still see the trains pass by. Some stop as its also a train stop (Orange). Our lunch was great. Served so hot had to let our reuben and hamberger cool a bit. Large menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Full bar. \n\nGot time to kill. Cross the street to the free Hilbert Museum of pastels, watercolors, oil, and a collection of early portable radios too?“

“Nostalgia is the key. I grew up with Marie Callender's a couple blocks away and now there is only one within reasonable driving distance.

Thankfully this is in between my house and my parent's which is perfect for picking up a fresh fruit pie. To die for!

The food faire as far as I remember was always a traditional comfort food that hit the spot.

The only reason why the 1 star removal is that while it is nostalgic, the decor seems a bit run down and stuck in the mid to late 90's.

Outside of that, the service, pies and food were amazing awesome and everything I've known and loved about it since my youth. This is probably the closest you can come to Southern California's version of a country kitchen.“
