The town of Orinda always gives me this feeling of leisure and grabbing a bite at Cafe Teatro helps to calm my mind. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available but I prefer outdoor for the sense of serenity (and because I get to look at my motorcycle while I eat). Love the Melts and Espresso here!“

Beautiful Palestinian cafe. They offer halal chicken sandwiches and I only wish they would offer halal turkey and beef. But the quality of the chicken in the sandwiches is tasty. The cafe drinks are really special and highly recommend it. And the simplicity of their croissant flavors like the zataar and cheese croissant is really tasty. They have lots of Kunafa style desserts here too.“

“I saw someome make a TikTok about this place and immediately knew I had to add that to my list. I headed out to Berkeley on a Friday morning to try it out and I bought a friend who isnt a big fan of Thai and or Asian food. I was thankful to experience this style of northern Thai cuisine I believe the order Tanzie referred to it as. The hospitality and service was above average. I enjoyed all of my food and so did my friend. The pork jowl was agreed to be are favorite out of the all the dishes we tried. Very juicy , flavorful and just all around deliscious topped off with that crispy fried garlic. The brown rice over that soft scrambled "lava egg" was to die for paired with the savory tomato based minced pork that I ordered extra spicy of course. The star of the show that me and my friend both agreed on had to be the "prik nam pla" which I would describe as a sweet and spicy vinegar or fish sauce based dipping sauce accompanied by a nice punch of spice from the thai chili peppers. I dont have any complaints whatsoever and I will definitely be back.“

“Food is delicious. I got the vegetarian combo {$17.50} (not pictured is a side of injera) and I had enough leftovers for dinner. Honey oat lavender latte {$6.75}is really good too. The employee who served me was very nice. I asked about the spice levels for a dish and she gave me a sample so I could decide if I wanted to order it in full. 🙂 I look forward to coming back.“

“I have been going to Tay Tah cafe for years. Their Breakfast Energizer smoothie is my go-to lunch meal and my husband loves the Banh Mi sandwiches. We are so lucky to have this wonderful cafe in our neighborhood! The owner and employees are super friendly too!

“I love Kinfolk! It’s such a community base space and it feels like it based upon the seating arrangements and the large options for comfortable places to work/get coffee! What's even convenient for many of us who needs distraction as we wait for our order, there is a lotto scratchers machine. If your feeling lucky like I did... spent $30 on 1 scratcher and won $100. True story. I recommend their Avocado smoothie. The best Avocado smoothie in the Bay Area. I don't care and don't wanna hear it. Don't waste your money anywhere else. Go to Tapioca Cafe. Michelle makes the drinks better than her associates behind the register. She just knows how to make it. She's in the Boba game for over 10 years. Her donuts are made in house , not her house but at the shop very early in the morning. She's there all day every day and has the best kindest heart you will get to meet. Very professional, clean store. I could go on but I do have to mention that she is very Humble for a business owner. Mostly she could be seen in the back making sandwiches and washing the dishes and utensils that customers and associates have used. Her associates are just as hard working as she is, which I really don't mind tipping them in the tip jar every time I pay them a visit for my yummy taro smoothie. If you mention to her in question "Who's got the Best of the Best Avocado smoothie?" That's the secret 50% off . It only works at lunch and has to be mentioned before making your order at noon up to 30 mins after that, forget it. You'll get the... are you slow look. Don't take it personal, she gives me that look all the time then she breaks into her natural smile.“

Among smoothie bowl places that i’ve been visited in Bay Area, this place has one of the most aesthetically pleasing bowls. The price is a bit higher compare to other smoothie bowl places, but it is worth it since they offer great variety of topping. The taste and the texture are okay. “First time here today with my son. I had an English Muffin with egg, cheese and sausage. I was pleasently surprised with the portion size and felt it was a great deal for the price. My son 11 yr old had a breakfast burrito and could barely finish it and he's a big eater. “Went on a little date with my lady to this place. We saw it on Bay Areas Check Please. The fried chicken sammich caught our eyes. Went on at about 2,….maybe? Was busy but was seated fairly quickly. We check out the menu while in line so knew what we were gettin. Noah, I believe, was the waiter fella(the reason I didn’t give that fifth star was cause after he took our order, we didn’t see him again). He was food came out not soon after we ordered. Hella quick. I got the chicken(breast/wing) and waffle with sweet potato butter. FIRE!!!. My lady got the chicken sandwich. MORE FIRE! To wash it down I got the brown sugar lemonade. JOHN BLAZE FIRE!!! Also there was a live dj spinnin on the 1’s and 2’s. Kind of a neo soulish vibe. Overall, it’s a dope spot. Nah’mean?!?! Forgot to mention that we shared the shrimp ‘n grits. “Yesterday was our first time here. Staff was friendly & helpful. Ordered a chicken rice plate, shrimp rice plate and a Gyro. All of it was tasty. We all agreed we would gladly eat here again. We sat on the street, watching the world go by while shoveling in the delishness. Affordable & we paid with card. Could use some fresh paint & some deep cleaning though. Bathroom needs a gut job reno.“

“The Spiced Apple Kombucha was fun!

I walked in on a Friday about noon and there were only 4 other guys in there. The worker behind the bar was talking to someone sitting at the bar. Another guy sitting at the bar seemed to working.

There was plenty of open seating. The space was clean and a whole vibe. The fourth guy was on the couch on his laptop.

I wanted to see if they sold snacks and I didn't see any but the kombucha on the menu caught my eye. The guy behind the computer ran through a simple explanation of what they had on tap and I settled for the spiced apple because it had CBD. I was not disappointed. I look forward to stopping by and checking some other things out.
