“Second time here and I will be coming back Seel was respectful and the juices and smoothies are very good. They use fresh fruit and not syrups and concentrates. I like the Aćai bowl but typically they got too much sugar. Seel offered to make one with the no sugar added Aćai and it was fantastic. Prices aren’t the cheapest but not eyeball popping like some juice shops. Solid over all. Can’t beat it on a hot day!“

“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “Nice neighborhood no-frills cafe serving some standard options with a Vietnamese food / drink menu.

Ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, as one always should when available, and a croissant. Both delicious. Croissant large and buttery.

The prices are fair and the atmosphere is very pleasant and the spirit of Oakland.

“Great burritos and service. The pozole (ask for toppings) was delicious. Mostly, I loved sitting at the counter and having a beautiful bay breeze hit my face while having lunch. Oakland as it is. Everyday life is romantic if you can stop and experience it.“

“We tried Mango and Mint in Alameda for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The portion size was amazing for the price huge and definitely worth it, especially I love veggies! I ordered the grilled lemongrass pork chop with rice, and it was flavorful. Few seating capacity but that is totally fine since it it kinda quick service set-up.

The Thai milk tea was just how I like it rich with tea flavor, not overly sweet. We also had the pineapple coconut smoothie, and you could really taste the mint and kale refreshing and fun!

Service was great & the staff was friendly, and the menu is simple, with plenty of drink options. Overall, it’s such a wonderful local find a true underrated spot in Alameda.

I just hope the serving sizes stay consistent because everything we ordered tasted great. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Warm, inviting, clean, friendly staff & fast service. The manager was training the ladies on a new menu item (mozzarella bites) & he allowed me to try one. I immediately added the bites to my order because they were tasty & hot. My dragon fruit bowl did not disappoint either. I normally order an açaí bowl but I needed more vitamin c. The bowl was delicious, fresh ingredients & ready within 2 minutes.“

I think they have 5 smoothy combination and some other things to. Great sandwiches and begals and lots of really nice teas. Love the coffee and coffee based drinks to.“

Among smoothie bowl places that i’ve been visited in Bay Area, this place has one of the most aesthetically pleasing bowls. “Folks with celiac disease who can’t have wheat, barley or rye (need to be gluten free): Swung by at 8am when they open to find the shop closed with no activity. About 8:15 saw some folks moving around inside. Gave it a few for them to get settled and headed in about 8:35. I saw at least one of their smoothies had wheat bran. Since things felt very disorganized, I didn’t trust they would be able to handle cross contact safely so I left.“

“I stopped by Alhambra Donuts the other day coming back from UC Riverside and on my way to East Oakland (detour route) and must I say it was an experience. The glazed donuts are bomb and the best i’ve ever had in the Bay Area so far my tastebuds were beyond satisfied. This is also a small family owned business so that’s also a plus because I get to support that. What really makes the experience stand out is the young guy with the beard—hands down the best customer service I’ve ever had at a donut shop. He’s friendly, patient, and made my morning better after that long drive. Great donuts + amazing service = perfect combo.“

“I am a big fan of Pressed Juicery, I have a VIP membership with the app and account and I easily order my drinks online and I pick them up. Concord is the closest location to Vallejo right now. It’s so nice and easy to order and you pick up in their fridge and it’s ready on time! They not only have juices, curated juice cleansed, they also have acai bowls! Super healthy alternatives to some sweet treats. If I’m preparing for a trip or a vacation or event, I do their juice cleaned. More recently I tried their simple 7 day cleanses to clear out my stomach prior. Then I usually do their Cleanse 1, Cleanse 2, and Cleanse 3 for 3 days a cleanse each day. The workers are super friendly and helpful! Located in a shopping plaza at the Veranda; there’s plenty of parking but it can get busy here. There’s plenty of outdoor seating nearby too!“

“First time in CA as an adult. Stopped by at Handel’s Homemade IC in Walnut Creek, CA. It was raining, and near store closing, and I was slightly sick.

I got the 4-combo sampler, with Mango Sherbet + Pistachio + Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie + OD (Ooohh Dough) and it was great. Shared it with others but I ended up finishing most of it.

Only thing that sucked is we had to run back in rain with the plastic lid closed. But otherwise the taste was great. I finished the rest of it in the car. My favorite was either CPB or OD, but the Pista was good too.

I’ll give it a pass. Nice ice cream shop; and they have a lotta flavors. Hope to be back if I’m in the area again.“

“Drinks are good. However there are two things they can improve on. First, is cooking the tapioca pearls longer. The pearls is overly chewy. It should be soft and chewy. Second, the creme for the matcha smoothie should be fresh. However the creme tastes like the fridge, it seems like the creme has been sat in the fridge uncovered or with poor sealant but also the creme taste artificial. I really love matcha smoothie in general, I always order it in any boba shops, however I haven’t been ordering from this boba shop because the creme taste off.“
