Banh MI

“Stopped in for two banh mis after work today, combination for my husband and the lemongrass chicken for me, both very very good. He's pretty particular about his banh mis and he kept saying "this is a good banh mi, this is a really good banh mi!" They're very full and not just a bunch of extra bread which is what I like, actually filling instead of just fluff. Will def be coming again. I also got the veggie egg rolls which are super good, my husband hates veggie egg rolls and loved these! Can't wait to come again !“

“Hi Quang! The Classic Milk Teas from Top Up Tea were absolutely delightful! The balance of tea and milk was perfect, resulting in a creamy and smooth texture. The tea flavor was rich and robust, and it blended harmoniously with the sweetness of the milk. Overall, the taste was fantastic! As for the service, it was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and efficient. They took the time to explain the menu options and make recommendations based on personal preferences. The order was prepared quickly, and the drinks were served with a smile. The overall experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend Top Up Tea to others. “Found this place when we were staying at a nearby airport hotel. The service by Oscar (one of the owners) and his crew was unparalleled and the food was absolutely fresh, homemade and delicious! I had the chicken tortilla soup which was filled with chunks of chicken and veggies. My husband had a panini and the chicken enchilada soup which was so tasty as well! Don’t hesitate to go and support this fantastic small business!“

“Drinks: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Price/Value: 3/5 Atmosphere/Cleanliness: 4/5 Paid a visit to Jamba Juice craving a refreshing smoothie and found it to be a moderately satisfying experience. The drinks were decent, service was standard, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere felt like your typical smoothie spot - an okay choice for a quick beverage.“

“WHEN: Sat @1:30pmWhile everyone was outside for the Wine & Arts Festival, we took cover for some refreshments to cool off. It's my first time at a Happy Lemon, so I figure I keep it simple by ordering:E10 - KUMQUAT LEMON w/LYCHEE JELLIES - $6.25Wow, so refreshing! I think the secret ingredient is the salted dry plum, which I didn't expect to be in it! I love those, and I think it enhances all the wonderful flavors! This was so good and unique! This shop is pretty cute, well air-conditioned, with a couple of chairs and tables to hang out in. Not a busy time, but perhaps because it's during a festival.“

Ding Tea Bubble Tea • $
1342 Park St, Alameda

“This Ding Tea is located in Downtown Alameda. This area is pretty busy most weekends and weeknights, so parking is hit or miss - it is mostly street parking or you can park in the parking garage nearby, but you have to walk a couple of blocks over. I wished that they did not close down their other location in Newark - it was more convenient for me to go there because there was parking. There is much of a welcome or any service, but it is a boba shop, so no high expectations - plus, my drink always comes out decently quickly and it is fairly good, so no major complaints. They are usually pretty good at answering the phone for orders, but on this particular visit, they did not, so I had to order inside when I arrived. No worries though because there were only 2 other customers in the store and they already had gotten their drink, so I ordered and got my drink pretty quick. I ordered my usual - the jasmine green milk tea with boba. It has a good cream/milk to tea ratio like always with a good sweetness to it. They serve golden boba as their boba, which is not the best, but it is decent - it is not my choice of boba compared to the other shops though. I am glad that they went back to their regular see-through cup, instead of the paper cup - this may be weird, but I do like seeing my boba as I am enjoying my drink (plus, it is definitely better for photos when you can see your drink and toppings).“

I can't recommend this place enough, thanks to Derrick for their outstanding service. It's a solid 5-star experience!“

“Been coming here since it opened and never had any issues with their food or staff. I love how huge the drink menu is when you walk in. I just wanted a drink so I got the M3 Strawberry blossom drink with boba. I thought it was perfectly made and it was delicious. Staff was nice and my drink was done in a timely manner. The one thing I found annoying when I was waiting inside was how loud the volume was on their speaker. The girl calling the order numbers sounded like she was screaming. It's a small location so I don't think it needs to be that loud but I guess if people are waiting outside they need to hear it too. Nothing wrong with the volume on the cashier side. I use to come here regularly when they had happy hour and I hope they bring it back.“

Gong Cha Bubble Tea • $
1501 Park St, Alameda

“I got the taro tea which was good but the boba was a bit warm and I guess I got low ice (I got whatever the cashier recommended) so together it made it so the drink was kind of lukewarm. I enjoyed the drink and experience but I'm not sure if I'd come back, at least for the full price of ~$6.50 for the small. Maybe I'd return for the BoGo. The ambiance is fine, very clean but a bit empty and sterile. Not a negative experience by any means (I enjoyed my drink), but I'm not sure if I'd return.“
