“I came to this place recommended by my friend who loved their 3 day detox set. I am glad I called ahead of time to let them know I was looking to buy the 4 day detox otherwise I would have waited for them to juice them for a long time since they do not have those already made (which is a good thing) Jennifer was very helpful and showed me the bag packages they have for soups, all you need to do is add your meat and water. She came with me to the Chinese meat market across the street and ordered me the type of pork I needed for my soup envelope, it was a type of meat without fat. I also purchased other goodies like dried pineapple bites and crunchy veggie bites.

“Excellent banh mi, & must try the smoothies! Tasty, fresh, and not too sweet (no added sugar). They come with soy milk by default (high protein for the lactose sensitive). I really enjoyed the lemongrass beef banh mi. Note, we went here in the summer and it was pretty warm - we stayed for about 30 mins.“

“Warm, inviting, clean, friendly staff & fast service. The manager was training the ladies on a new menu item (mozzarella bites) & he allowed me to try one. I immediately added the bites to my order because they were tasty & hot. My dragon fruit bowl did not disappoint either. I normally order an açaí bowl but I needed more vitamin c. The bowl was delicious, fresh ingredients & ready within 2 minutes.“

“I've been going here for years and enjoy their green juices and wheatgrass especially, but today I placed my first delivery order, as I usually go in person to enjoy the juice right after it was made as soon as possible, and I always order a double shot of wheatgrass juice, and today because I had a lot to do. to do, I placed an order for delivery which isn't ideal because wheatgrass juice is best consumed within the first couple minutes of it being juiced for maximum benefit, but in any case I ordered two shots of wheatgrass and a vegetable green juice, and I left a note to put the two wheatgrass shots in a single cup. I guess I should have been more clear because I thought it would have been common sense, but what I meant was to put the two shots in one cup, just the juice itself. itself. What they did instead was take two shot cups, put the wheatgrass in each cup and then put the two cups in one bigger cup, and then by the time it arrived the juice had spilled out of the smaller containers partially, and so I had to fish to two containers covered in juice out of a bigger cup of juice which was really annoying and I ended up wasting some of the juice. so I guess if you are going to place an order you need to be explicit with your instructions down to the smallest detail if you want it done correctly. I still recommend this place, but heed the warning when you order especially for delivery.“

“Spectacular food and lovely service. I judge Vietnamese restaurants by their Pho and this is one of the three best I've ever had in America and Europe. Marvelous broth, full of depth and nuanced flavor. Don't love the meatballs, even though they are traditional, but also had great thin cut beef. Would suggest having options to have the meatballs or not, or add tendon. Then had mini pancakes with shrimp, Banh Khot, which I had been looking for for years. These were much better than the ones I originally fell for decades ago in San Mateo, with crisper texture, but most importantly better herb selection (shiso and mint), the addition of turmeric, and a great sauce which enhanced the flavor interplay to truly divine levels. Highly recommend an outing to try these! One caveat, the dining room is nice but not deluxe, with paper napkins and tables that are too high for the chairs. Outside seating option in a wooden framed area next to the onsite parking lot (which makes coming here very convenient).“

“Since high school, I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and the food has stayed consistently good. The sandwiches are the real standout, but my go to orders are the Hood and the Turkey Bacon Avocado. Whenever I’m in the area and hungry, this is one of the first spots that comes to mind. Solid sandwiches, generous portions, and that neighborhood spot feeling you can’t fake. Definitely a go to in Oakland. Highly recommend!“

This Sweetheart Cafe location has been here for more than 30 years. It originally sells snacks and tons of candies in different aisles . Later on, they sold dried fruits also. Eventually they sold hot foods like popcorn chicken, curry fish balls and different boba drinks. They have seatings as well.

Their boba drinks had became so popular that they opened locations in Berkeley, San Francisco and Milpitas.

I love their bobas, it’s sweet, bouncy and great chewing texture. They used to have small tapioca options which I had loved, but it isn’t an option anymore. All their drinks are pretty good so you can’t be wrong what drinks you choose.

I highly recommend their drinks and their popcorn chicken. I will definitely come back and try other drinks as well.“

i went to QTea Bar for the first time and honestly - ITS NOT BAD FOR A PERSON WHO ONLY HAS $10 AT THE MOMENT LIKE ME.

basically, its a small place - however they offer a lot of items on their menu! the one on the picture is the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba, which costed $7 dollars (I DROPPED MY JAW AT THE PRICE, BUT ITS FINE I GUESS?)

i chose Normal sweetness level and was expecting a nice sugar level, but was instantly kicked with a flavor that felt like 10 spoons of sugar on my mouth😭💔

i suggest letting it dilute for a little bit and drinking it, because the sugar really was kicking me 🫩

im used to the “normal” amount if sugar level since im a sugar-tooth, but if youre an adult, i suggest 50-75% sugar - also the toppings (boba, etc) are $0.50 — which is an okay price

the employees are super nice, they only had 2 people working at the time i was there - so i believe its a small business run by them

overall; great service, nice menu, small place but functional!

Zees Munchies Truck is an absolute gem! The crêpes are really, really good—perfectly made, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. They are very generous with portions, so you definitely get your money’s worth. Everything tastes fresh, rich, and satisfying without being overwhelming. “My husband and I just spent two weeks visiting Oakland and we discovered Gelato Firenza (near Grand Lake Theate) one week into our trip. Once we did we made a special trip there every day, and one day even went twice! It’s the best gelato we’ve tasted anywhere, and we’ve been all over.

We first had gelato 40 years ago in Rome and were delighted as it became increasingly popular all over the world. We’ve tried it in many places, but this is our favorite.

We learned that it’s all natural, no additives, and made on the premises daily by the owner, who is so devoted to getting the flavors just right that she often spends four or more days perfecting them.

We love the fact that it’s not overly sweet, so you can really taste the underlying flavors (and feel good about it having less sugar). They’re very generous about allowing you to taste before ordering, and the prices are excellent.

Our favorites were: hazelnut, salted caramel, strawberry and rose (which was so unique and delicious!) Others we tasted and loved included Earl Grey, Matcha, coconut, almond, Dulce de Leche, and cookies and cream, but every flavor we tried was truly delicious.

For reference I have only written two other reviews in my life: one about my dog’s veterinarian, and one about a hotel in Thailand. But this gelato is so special and the owner so delightful I had to pass the word on.

We can’t wait to return to the Bay Area for more.“
