“My friend and I were able to get in on a Friday night, and I felt the experience was very good. The service was prompt and the ambiance was definitely classy and East Bay. I think the tables were slightly close to each other, creating an intimate environment but also easier to hear others talk. “Cool place (love the decor/style), nice staff & tasty food. Some dishes you will not find in the average Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. For example, the chef or owner is from northern Thailand so the menu features a top Northern Thai dish - Kao Soi noodle soup (beef or chicken), or the all time fav 'street food' grilled pork skewers (moo ping) served with sticky rice (ck out the menu on their website). I had the Pad Kemao Chicken (menu says beef but they are happy to make dishes with what you like & even have Beyond Meat dishes on the menu - cool to see stir fried basil with Beyond Meat (Krapao Beyond Neur)). The taste of my wok fried pad kemao was delicious, same or better than any I've had on prior trips to Bangkok. Glad to have discovered a solid Thai restaurant that doesn't have watered down flavors. Good to see they have a lot of gluten free and vegan choices on the menu too. Definitely will be back, keep up the good work!“

“I ordered takeout khao man gai and mango sticky rice and it was delicious! The sauces that go with the khao man gai were so falvorful and added so much depth to the dish. The mango sticky rice was also super good. The coconut sauce was sweet with a hint of saltiness to balance out the dish, and although mangos are not in season right now, the mangoes were still sweet. I would come back here and order something else on the menu because I would want to try what else they have :)“

“This is the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in the East Bay. So I and my friends keep coming back. The dishes are really well done, and the portions are quite good too. While, it can get a little noisy when it’s full, most of the time it’s OK. I particularly love the corn cheese fritters, the jumbo garlic, shrimp, the exquisite, coconut soup, and the ginger dish. The wait staff have been universally considerate and excellent.“

The wait was less than 5 min and the place was packed with happy diners. My pumpkin curry was pleasing to the eye and tasted delicious-although some pieces of pumpkin were raw. The lemongrass chicken medium spiced was delicious (full of flavor with the bright lemongrass & herbaceous spice). We shared the mango salad with shrimp -medium spice. “Really yummy food and great service. Went for lunch with some friends and we enjoyed our meals. It a small place(indoors) but outside the patio is pretty large. The server was so nice and friendly. We were the only ones there so we got VIP treatment lol. I ordered the lunch combo yellow curry with veggies, chicken spring rolls and Thai tea. It didn’t miss a beat! The flavors were amazing and the veggies were cooked perfect. We also had the chicken wings as appetizers. GET THEM! They were delicious. Definitely coming back.“

“I went to Thai Corner Bakery as a last minute replacement for our Christmas Eve dinner when the restaurant I was planning on taking out from was so busy they had a two hour wait for take-out! I was impressed by other reviews I saw online about Thai Corner Berkeley and decided to check them out. They have a great number of dishes on their menu and I ordered a variety of things. We especially loved the yellow curry, garlic eggplant with tofu and the Pad See Ew! Even better than the food was their customer service!! Once I ordered they had me sit at a table and brought me water and pistachio nuts to snack on!!! They checked in with me often to let me know the status of my order!! My family was quite happy with our dinner and we will definitely be back!!“

My spouse loves really spicy dishes and said it would be delicious with more spiciness, but thought the broth was so good that it didn’t even need to change. We actually just wish there was an option to order a larger size, it was that good! Sometimes my spouse like to just have soup as the entree. - Green Curry with Chicken (comes with rice) Wow! Super bright and fresh taste! Smells really good and tastes even better. It was very fresh and loved all the vegetables inside (eggplant soaked up all the delicious flavor just right, baby corn- yum, etc.). - Pad Cashew Nut with Pork (comes with rice) AMAZING. Mouth-wateringly delicious. I did not want the dish to end. It was the perfect amount of flavor and freshness. Loved the cashews, the carrots, the onions, the cilantro on top. Perfect combination of sweet & salty sauce with nuttiness from the cashews, enhanced by the onion, carrot, cilantro. Since it was their first day, we enjoyed free beverages. The Thai tea was so good- you can get oat milk for $1 more. The Black Mango Iced Tea was also delicious and you get refills on it. I cannot wait to go back and eat every dish. Since it was their first hour open, we were there when the Doordash photographer came to snap pictures of all the dishes. WOW! We were eyeing the Lobster Ravioli and honestly it looks too good to miss. So we’ll probably be back later this week to try it and more. Congratulations on your opening. Thank you for bringing delicious Thai food to the area. We just moved up here from San Diego, and we’ve been having a hard time finding true Thai food and flavors. Many of the Thai places we’ve eaten up up here lack flavor or are just different because they’re fused with Laotian dishes or another type of cuisine. “Went there for dinner on NBA All Star Game Night. We discovered this place while hunting for a place to eat in the neighborhood. We ordered Pad Woon Sen, Yellow Curry, Mango Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice. Each dish was flavorful, and the Curries go superbly with white rice! Wait staff was very attentive, the decor was tasteful and uncluttered, making the experience very enjoyable. We will be back to try the other offerings!“

This restaurant has wonderful Thai food, excellent fresh ingredients and friendly service.
The one thing I wish they would change, are those awful metal trays in which they serve the lunch special!!
They are inconvenient to eat from them. Hard to scoop the soup from the indentation. Too bad they changed from using regular plates to those metal trays.
Hope new owners reconsider and go back to plates.

I looked around and decided to go for the Won Thai restaurant, ordered the lunch special, fried catfish with rice, on the plate I got a colorful plate with a scoop of steam rice next to pan fried filet of catfish with plenty of green beans, fresh tomato pieces, sautéed on a lite curry sauce and sliced purple and green cabbage garnish.“

“Take It Easy Thai Cuisine has been around for more than 8 years! I used to come here when my daughter went to the high school around the corner and came by often to get lunch.
I usually get the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai noodles, or the coconut curries. Today, I wanted to try something different, which was the Beef Jungle Curry. This dish is on the dry style curry, not the soupy kind, and I loved the spice and kick it had. The Beef Jungle curry was served over rice, and I must say I was impressed and enjoyed this dish!
Service was fast, and the staff was awesome! Although there's other options in the area, I believe this is one of those mom and pop's restaurants that need some support from the community. The prices are still on the cheaper side for the portion you get. Hole in the wall kinda spot. I would definitely come back and support this neighborhood gem again!“
