The tea and scones were delicious and a great way to start the afternoon tea. Unfortunately, the tea sandwiches and desserts were hit and miss...the curry chicken salad and the chocolate mousse cups stood out, while the smoked king trumpet mushroom sandwich was interesting. The tea includes entry to the museum and could be part of a relaxing day at the Getty Villa. By itself, the tea is not a good value.
The service was impeccable. The servers were friendly & gave very good service. Unfortunately the sandwiches were not that great. The main problem was the bread was extremely dry. It did not taste fresh. It tasted stale. The desserts were ok, but again the cakes & the macaron tasted stale. The only dessert that tasted great was the raspberry cream tart. Absolutely wonderful experience! Shoutout to the service, namely Mark and Patty! The food was delightful, the tea was comforting and enjoyable, they made accommodations for my gluten-free friend, and I would definitely come back.
