“Talk about a hole in the wall. Right here in Pacas, this is place was a peasant surprise! Ordered me some bomb chilaquiles rojos con huevos estrellados con pancita y pedazo de carne asada. When asked, "Que tan picosos los quiere," le dije, "Muy! Si no estoy sudando, no disfruto la comida!" I was warned and sure enough, they did not disappoint. Them joints was straight lumbre!! My carnal ordered a pozole. Looked ok. My cafecito was aight. Gentle amable y servicial! Parking sucks. Trucha where you park and respect your surroundings.“

“Loved this place! Super fresh ingredients and very friendly staff. Ordered the Nam Tok Salad, the Chicken Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) and the Isaan Larb Kua. Everything was really tasty and the server was great about explaining the spice levels. The Nam Tok and the Isaan Larb Kua were especially delicious because of the use of lime juice -- that tangyness paired with the spiciness and the savoriness in both dishes was a winning combo. In terms of spice level, I'd say that I usually like spicy food and handle it well, and the Medium was just right. There are additional chili sauces available if you want to dial it up a little bit. Very generous portions and I was honestly quite stuffed. The price is also ridiculously low and I have to say this is one of the most amazing value Thai places I've ever been too -- the pad kee mow was $12.99 for the chicken version!! They were making pickled chilis on one of the side tables, which is one sign you know this place is legit -- when they make their sauces and condiments from scratch, by hand. Really looking forward to my next visit here.“

“The mango sticky rice here is so good! The mangos were really fresh and there were plenty of slices that came with the dish. The crispy bits on top are also an unexpected yet delicious addition and pair well with the sticky rice and sauce. “This is an absolutely no frills restaurant with about 5 items on the menu, but they do them well. The monta (aka manti, mante) is the star of the show. Unlike other places that take a shortcut by using wonton skins, this place makes the dough from scratch and it really makes a difference. In addition to the baked monta, they also do a soup version in either tomato or yogurt. Their sou boereg ( Armenian cheese lasagna) is good also. All monta is cooked to order, so it does take a few minutes for your order to be ready, but it's totally worth the wait. Have an appetizer while waiting. You can also visit their sister restaurant in Pasadena, though it's tiny with only two tables on the sidewalk.P.S. I read some reviews saying that monta is supposed to be made with phyllo dough. Uh, no. I helped my mom and grandma make monta from scratch and they use the same dough you'll find here. And I was born in Lebanon, my grandmother was a Genocide survivor. So they know how to make it.“

The dressing is some kind of sesame dressing and it was fabulous. Usually restaurants treat their salads as an afterthought and give you something basic with ranch, but not Kai ramen. The salad, wow.The ramen was also excellent. The broth was great and full of flavor and was nice and warm (temperature and heat wise, I got medium). “This is one of the best restaurants we know of. Not only is the food fantastic, but the owners and staff are amazing people. They are very kind and considerate, and very willing to accommodate large groups, or an occasional special request, etc. We've had several larger groups events catered by them as well and they are terrific to work with about these. And let me mention again how good the food is! They have a big menu and we've never had a dish that didn't look and taste great. “My husband and I were visiting our family in Sherman Oaks, CA. The first night we arrive we always eat their food - whether take-out or at the restaurant. This time we also ate the night we were leaving. The manager and her staff were so accommodating to us. The food was excellent. We did not finish all the soup but the manager offered to put more soup in the container for us. Very thoughtful of her. The ambiance is average but that is not why we eat there. “My wife caught wind of this spot from a SFV local, said this was where his family ate often when he was a kid growing up in Reseda. He said it was the best Mexican food in the Valley. Aye, he was right. The food is clean, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. I mean for most of the menu options you're basically getting two meals. You enter through the door on the east side where there's a line leading up to a cashier area. The menu will be all over the wall to the right of the cashier. The ordering was pleasant, although I had asked for a tostada con machaca (shredded beef) which was on their menu. However she put "con carnitas" in the system, when I told her I wanted shredded beef not shredded pork, she looked at me blankly and said they didn't have that. I relented because I was hungry and had 4 guests with me, so I asked for carne asada instead. The burritos are massive. Grandma got 2 carne asada tacos; she ended up splitting the double tortilla shells and making 4 perfect tacos. That's how much meat they have! Our boy got the chicken soup, which was delicious! When I'm in need of comfort, I'll come back for this. My tostada was delicious, I ate the whole thing! My wife only ate half of hers though. There's a healthy portion of meat in there and the sour cream/guac toppers were heavy handed! The sodas you do yourself - they have two fountain machines. There's a salsa bar that I wish was bigger, the traffic is always heavy around it. The dining atmosphere is like being at your abuela's house - we had the kids snag a table and give us some time to order. The place can be super busy, but the vibe makes you feel comfortable in the chaos. All love for this place, I'll be back soon!“

“Have been coming here for quite literally my whole life. This has been a family favorite restaurant for over 25+ years and we will never get over how great the food is here as well as the service!! Their spaghetti marinara as well as their meat sauce always taste so fresh and delicious every time. You get a huge amount of food at a good price.
