“I had tacos to try various meats. Carnitas, pastor, lengua and buche. They were all very good. But I can't wait to try their carnitas burrito. Everyone one was friendly and welcoming. (Danny, Francisco and Desiree). I also went back to get asada quesadillas for my wife and son. And a carnitas taco and a side of rice. My wife and son loved them!“

“My wife stopped by this Jack in the Box to pick us up some food. When she came, she used the drive thru since there wasn't any cars. She got herself the jack spicy chicken and the jalapenos poppers. She got me the jack spicy chicken with cheese and fries.

The Jack spicy chicken burger was delicious. The fries were good too. I enjoyed my food from here today. They don't have a big parking lot in this location.“

Sadly that also meant be prepared to wait in long line especially on peak dinner time, which was right at their opening time. We did come on Saturday which probably made it worse.

Nothing fancy, it’s basically occupying a spot on the Pavilion’s parking lot at Hollywood. Quite limited chairs provided so it’s not uncommon seeing people eating while standing or using their car’s trunk.

We got their crowd’s favorite Ribeye and Flank Steak, both of which were indeed so so good in their own ways. Chunky juicy meats on top of the blue corn tortilla. Everything’s cooked fresh to order and they didn’t go complicated with sauce on top of your taco, which even made the meat more stand out, being so flavorful on its own.

If you felt like us and wanna try something beyond beef, certainly go for their Al Pastor, which was also luscious and I’d definitely come back again for.

Don’t forget opt for extra melted cheese on your taco!“

“First off, Terrific Customer Service at the Long Beach, CA location! The manager is amazing. So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. Tocaya has seasonal Sangria selections, beer, and other interesting drink options. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating… and I recommend you head over soon!“

“Take your time gathering any of the many sauces and things. It went take long for your order to be ready, just pause and collect then return to grab all the sauces but yet bagged. Limes, cilantro&onions, salsa fresco, salsa Verde, salsa roja x2, radishes, grilled pepper and onions, crema, and more. All the things to make the meal your own.
A note about the carne asada fries (or any meat fry), is the use of a cheese sauce instead of fresh shredded cheese which some may like but not I. I'm guessing you can substitute the cheese for the desired experience.
This taco truck is worth a retry. The crowd certainly approves and has the right frame if reference to judge a taco truck. Rarely have I seen a throng of people eating at tables beside such food trucks let alone the steady stream of customers. Festive and lively, those customers add to the positive vibes of this sidewalk eatery. Just be sure you're at the right taco truck!“

“Early to the Mint and want some restaurant-quality food but can skip the table service? Scoot across the street down a block for what is definitely the higher end of street tacos. Tablecloths and plenty of seating makes it more comfortable than hovering around. Family run. Will plan to dine again for the next show!“

“Very good tacos de trompo and we tried the alambre that was excellent as well . The green salsas were tangy and had great seasoning. Small bar area with onions , cilantro , three salsas , cucumbers and pickled spicy red onions . Would come back again and get more .“

“I tried the shrimp and fish tacos. They were decent, but honestly overpriced for what they are. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the patio is a nice place to sit. However, inside the restaurant it was hard to breathe because of the strong smell of fried oil, like the ventilation was not working well.

Parking can also be difficult, although there are paid parking options nearby. The tacos were okay, but the fish was too soft and covered in batter, so I couldn’t really taste the fish itself. The vegetables were fresh and nicely cut, and the sauces were good, but there were no extra toppings or salsa station like in many other Mexican taco spots.

Overall, it’s not a bad place, but for the price, I personally would not come back for these tacos.“

“Not even gonna lie. Some of the best tacos I've had here. The chicken wasn't pretty but it was dang sure good. It was for sure up to par with the pork. The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. Kid-friendliness: It’s a taco truck so you can take your kids however it is on a public street so always be safe and hold tight to your babies. There are street sleepers around.“
