“I was craving boba before a night out, so we made a quick stop.

Parking: Free parking lot. There’s a medium sized parking lot, so finding an open spot is easy.

Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a couple tables and chairs. Seating is very limited. There’s cute wall decor and backgrounds for photos.

Service: We placed our orders at the kiosk. Throughput was quick & efficient after ordering. The two workers we encountered were courteous.

Drinks: I got the Matcha Brûlée, and my friend got the House Coffee with sea salt foam. The matcha brûlée came with brown sugar boba. I couldn’t taste the matcha bc the brown sugar was very overpowering. The boba texture was good. The brûlée swirls were very faint. Overall, the flavors could use some improvements. The house coffee was thick and creamy. The sea salt foam was okay; could be thicker with a bit more salt.

Pricing: Average prices for boba drinks nowadays. I’d visit again bc their milk teas are good, but I wouldn’t get the Matcha Brûlée again.“

“The 3 of us came here for lunch. We always order the Honey Walnut Shrimp Burger which is delicious (5/5). The Taro Sweet Milk is good (4/5) and the Black Sesame Matcha is just average (3/5). It could get busy during lunch rush hour, kitty might take 10-15 minutes you wait for your burger, although the drinks are much faster. The ambiance is airy with high ceiling, the Chinese decor is quite interesting.“

Tip: Don't get crystal boba. I got this the first time and it was very dense and didn't taste good. Drinks are just right in sweetness. Get at least 75% here and don't go too low.

* Ube Matcha Latte 4.5/5 - This was tasty, though I wish the ube flavor came across more. It was very understated. I got Osmanthus Mochi Jelly addon and it was yummy, a cross between a grass jelly and mochi texture with a light sweetness.

* Mini Breadsticks 5/5 - These were like crispy banh mi. I like that they were protein-packed with pork floss and pate.

* Popcorn Chicken 5/5 - Crispy and delicious popcorn chicken. Their spicy level may be a bit high as I ordered mild, but it was more like a medium (maybe it was just the seasonings being concentrated at the top).

* Pink Guava Strawberry Tea 5/5 - Very refreshing and sweet drink, hint of guava and strawberry, not strong taste.

* Blended Oreo Brulee 5/5 - Creamy, eggy, sweet goodness. It was a real treat. Your mouth is like Oreo-land with bouncy egg custard.“

This place looks super fun. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. They have claw machines, a Photo Booth, a grandma jacket my grandma liked, cool daily deals, and plenty of drinks and snacks. I got their pistachio and mango milk teas, loaded cream carbonara buldak, and Dubai chocolate strawberries to try. While I was waiting for my food me and my grandma had a bunch of fun taking some photos in the Photo Booth. I got the pistachio milk tea with some jiggly soft egg pudding and the milk tea had good sweet, nutty, vanillay, pistachio flaves with lots of actual pistachio bits blended in. Would’ve actually preferred if there weren’t any bits. The mango milk tea was really good and had mango purée, was perfectly sweet, milky, smooth and fruity. I added gooey hot Cheetos corn cheese and flavorful salty soy garlic popcorn chicken nuggets to the buldak to make it loaded and it had perfectly springy noodles, was a bit spicy and oily, and had plenty of salty savory cheesey flaves with sweet pops of corn. The popcorn chicken and hot Cheetos did kinda soggy too tho. The Dubai choco strawberrries MNM. Rich, thick, creamy, sweet, smooth, nutty Nutella and pistachio butter with crispity crunchy kataifi all cut by fresh, tart, sweet strawberries. Perfectly balanced, refreshing and pure deliciousity. Overall this place is a great fun friend hangout spot and is lowkey pretty good.

The woman in the counter was excellent she had such a beautiful persona they could have turned me away since it was close to closing , I took it to go. “I went to Tapioca Express in Alhambra on Monday the 15th around noon. I ordered a Thai Tea, which is personally my favorite! I usually order Thai Tea ever where I go because I can't get enough. Haha, The two people that were helping me were Jo and Steve or Steven, I didn't quite hear the other employee name but it's somewhere along those lines. They were super nice! Right when I walked in, I was greeted with "Welcome to Tapioca Express!" It made me feel very welcomed, which is a feeling everybody should feel when they walk into a store. Since I always order Thai Tea, I just wanted to take a look at the menu and see what other options they had. They offered me other drinks but I had to stay with my usual. All the girls that work there are AMAZING and lovely !!! Alyssa is sincerely the best! As soon as she sees me walk in , she knows my order and is already making my order lol. The other girls know what I like as well lol. Now for the two guys that work there , they are honestly rude from time to time ,not always friendly nor welcoming.
