This bar nightclub in Highland Park hosts a wide array of events including karaoke nights, drag shows, live band concerts, and more.
I attended an event on a Sunday, Bear Garden: LABussy, a vendor mart and body positive event. Drink are good and the signature cocktails are unique for sure. There's a bunch of seating inside and some limited seating on their patio.
They open at 5pm daily, but for Bear Garden they opened a little earlier at 4pm. So events have covers, but they're reasonable.
Restrooms are clean and easy to access.
Parking is street and can be a journey as they like to say. Service is great and the bartenders are outstanding.

“The kind of staff with a good sense of humor who remember your name, this bar has everything: dark sexy lighting, a jukebox pumped with hits, movies on the TV and a vibe that goes unmatched anywhere else I’ve been in Cali. I love bars, I love drinking, and I LOVE The Drawing Room! I sought this place out as a daytime alcoholic haunt but will return specifically for the staff and the terrific vibes.“

“ITS A REALLY COOL, CHILL SPOT TO HAVE A FEW BEERS AT. THE BARTENDER LADY IS THE BEST. SHE IS ON TOP OF WHATEVER IT IS THAT SHE HAS TO DO. MY BROTHER AND WILL GO EVERY OTHER WEEK. WE'LL HAVE A FEW BEERS AND PLAY ON THEIR DART MACHINES. IT'S A REALLY GREAT ENVIRONMENT IN THERE ALL THE TIME. “On June 25/2025, I went to The Echo with my boyfriend to see The Red Pears, and it was such an unforgettable night. The crowd was completely into it, dancing and cheering, and the energy in the room was electric. The music was amazing, and you could feel the passion of the band in every song. ❤️Even with all the excitement around us, my boyfriend and I had an incredible time together, enjoying the moment and just soaking it all in. The lighting, the sound, and the vibe of the venue made it feel intimate yet full of life. Definitely one of those nights I’ll remember for a long time. (El inicio fue lo mejor honestamente🤍)“
“As a dive bar kinda guy, this place really resonates with me. Love that the pours are good (Sara at least) and cheap - $5 for a well whiskey sour or a full pour of wine, $7 for call whiskey rocks. Cash only which is OK, just know ahead of time. And went there last night with my daughter for a quick drink before dinner - loud, obnoxious drunk group of sketchy dudes in the booth beside us. Lots of cussing and vulgarity which is fine with me but it was loud enough to be distracting and the bartender didn't really do or say anything to them, which may have been uncomfortable and awkward so I get it.“

“I came here on a whim after wanting to avoid the crowds at Zebulon. Honestly this bar is a hidden gem, and thank god it hasn’t been flipped upside down and turned into condos. The outside is a neon lit heaven from the 1960s. You enter and the staff are warm from the get go. There is a left and a right side to the bar: The right side is a sizable dance floor complete with a gigantic disco ball, Dj booth, a couple leather booths, and panther sculptures. They played disco and funk this very day and the crowd was diverse and cool. The left side is the bar where there a probably 5 or six extremely comfortable retro leather booths. They have a great tequila selection but you can also order a $4 Tecate. My kind of joint full of vibe that i can’t wait to try again!“
