“The best place for a foodie !! Mom and I had a blast!! She ate the Governor Tacos I had the Black Tide. I ordered the Hibiscus taco and the Mushroom taco from the vegan section. Mom LOVED the tacos. The flavors vibed delectably. The Black Tide was fresh, firey, the mango and apple with the shrimp was diced to perfection. The vegan tacos were amazingly delicious. The Hibiscus was dipped in the dark sauce. WOW!!! The blue tortilla was a bonus. It was so romantically blended. There is something about Hibiscus ?. The mushroom taco blended perfectly with the dark sauce. The limonade was just right. What a spectacular lunch. See you next time.“

They knew every single dish inside and out, proactively pointed out shared fryer cross-contamination details, and clearly walked us through which items were fully gluten-free outside of regular soy sauce (super helpful for anyone with different tolerance levels). “We arrived on time for our reservation and gave the name on the reservation. The hostess told us she could not find it. I provided the reservation time, party size, and explained that it was booked through OpenTable, but she made no effort to help us locate it. Because the internet connection was poor, our entire group stood there for nearly two minutes while we struggled to pull up the OpenTable reservation on our phones. The situation was already uncomfortable and embarrassing. Once we finally showed her the reservation, instead of simply acknowledging it and helping us, she condescendingly said, “That should be pronounced Yan, not Young.” My name is Yang. In my native language, it is pronounced like “Young,” and that is also how all of my American friends pronounce it. I found it extremely inappropriate for a hostess to lecture a guest on how their own name “should” be pronounced, especially when the actual issue was simply that she could not locate the reservation. A hostess's job should be to welcome guests and help them with their reservations—not to correct their names or make them feel unwelcome. Thankfully, our server, Ginger, was the complete opposite. She was warm, friendly, attentive, and professional, and she completely turned our experience around. We were very happy with her service and truly appreciated her hospitality.“

“The lounge is conveniently located within Hilton San Gabriel. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were inviting, friendly and extremely efficient. They took wonderful care of us. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“

Favorites are the Jerk Chicken, plantains and of course the Sangria. The first two are pretty common, but the Sangria is the best in the city.“
