“Been seeing Pinole pizza for a while now in our area. Finally decided to get out and go check it out.
This pizza is one of the best pizzas I ever tasted. The owner is really cool. Got a great vibe in the store and always has fresh ingredients. We will definitely be supporting the store in the future.
They also own a store in Richmond, which I never heard about.
After talking to the guy going back-and-forth in conversation found out that he also could cook a mean smash burger also.”

“This is our neighborhood go-to for frozen yogurt! My husband is a regular here, and now I completely understand why. The yogurt is always perfectly creamy with great flavor options, and the toppings are always fresh. The staff is super friendly and welcoming — they always remember familiar faces. A great local spot for a sweet treat!”

“Absolutely excellent meal! We usually go to Indian restaurant in Berkeley but wanted to try something closer to home. We got the samosas, chicken momo, chicken tikka masala, goat curry and the butter naan.

The goat curry was one of the most flavorful dishes we’ve had in a long time. The meat comes on the bone so expect a little bit of work but it’s well worth it for the flavor. Extremely rich, flavorful, and spicy. Chicken momo is also worth calling out as a must have. Odd yet true, but the water was surprisingly pure and fresh. Don’t know the last time a restaurant’s water caught my attention for a good reason. Overall a surprisingly great meal with a nice view.

Service was wonderful and all the food came out hot. Definitely our new favorite local Indian spot and we’re already looking forward to returning.”

“I absolutely love this boba spot! Their strawberry matcha latte is my favorite — perfectly balanced and so refreshing. Scott is amazing — he’s always so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about customizing drinks to make them just right. You can really tell he cares about the customers. Such a kind person and great service every time! Definitely support them — they deserve it!”

“I’m so happy a nice sandwich place finally opened up in Pinole — and one that stays open late! Tried Sourdough & Co. today for the first time and the quality was exceptional. You can truly taste how fresh the ingredients are, and the bread was absolutely amazing. The service was just as impressive; Ms. Mandeep Kaur ji took great care of us and made the experience even better.

“Located where the old outback used to be, this is great for someone like myself who lives in the area and wants decent sushi. The rolls aren't huge but I like that so I can order/try a variety of rolls. Lunch is $25 and dinner is $40 if I'm not mistaken. The staff is so nice and attentive. Everyone helps out and the food comes very fast. Good quality sushi with fried options and good appetizers. The only thing I would skip next time is the ice cream. Other than that I will be back!”

“After chemotherapy, I asked my daughter to stop at Fosters Freeze for Ice Cream only since the registered nurse had already given me a Turkey sandwich for lunch. And, since my daughter hadn't had lunch yet, she ordered a hamburger with fries to go even though inside and outside seating was available. By the time my daughter's order was ready, I was almost done eating my delicious vanilla ice cream. As you will see in the photo, it's closer to a medium rather than a small size. When my daughter got into the car with her order, she told me to dip the French fries in the ice cream, so I tried it and found that it didn't taste bad. The fries were nice and hot and together we finished eating them before getting home. She enjoyed her burger very much. The person at the window at Fosters Freeze prepared the burger and fries very quickly. This Fosters Freeze in Pinole and the one in Berkeley are unfortunately the only ones left. There used to be one in San Pablo where I'd go to for lunch and afterward spent some time reading there. I knew the owner, who wanted to sell the business because she was planning to move to Canada. I was sad the place closed. Fosters Freeze ice cream is one of the best, which reminds me of the ice cream I enjoyed eating when my grandmother used to take me to Kuridis in Africa during our vacation.

“We came here for lunch right when they opened at 11 AM. There were no guests yet, so we were seated and served right away. The place was cozy, comfortable, and clean — even the bathroom was well maintained. They served water first, which was a nice touch.

We ordered the sake nigiri and were surprised by how big the salmon pieces were — definitely worth trying! The tempura appetizer was also great — light, not just all breading — and came with their own special sauce.

The katsu curry came with a generous serving of rice. It was good, though I found the katsu sauce a little bland for my taste. Still, the portion size was satisfying. It also came with miso soup and a salad on the side — both were delicious, especially the salad dressing!

My husband ordered ramen, and the meat was so tender and flavorful that I might try it next time. :)”

“The pho broth is here easily one of my favorites in the Bay. I always get the #1 w/ added oxtail. Everything else on the menu like the vermicelli bowls, rice plates and Banh mi’s are all delicious too.

Service is great, the front staff are friendly and they all work hard to get everything out to you as fast possible. As long as they’re open, they will always stay on my rotation of restaurants”

“5 stars! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable, extensive menu, great prices, great value! my super burrito must have had a pound of carnitas, and hubby's mixed fajitas was plentiful as well. Fresh chips and salsa varieties available at the front, along with fresh water, self serve. we asked for containers and got free, fresh chips as well. Let's all support this family business!”

My favorite order is the vegetarian delight on thin crust with bacon. Trust me on the thin crust. For some reason the taste of the thin crust is much better than original crust.”

Choose how you want them from the taco bar (visible for customers to pick and choose from), add your phone number to get points for rewards and get some lollipops for your kids while you wait. Food is ready in minutes with your choice of salsa. I highly recommend it, and it’s family friendly !”

“We made our first visit to Ristorante Due Rose last evening (6/2/2023)--what a amazing dinner we had! I had the Linguine Tutto Mare (thin flat pasta with clams, squid, prawns, scallops and fish, seasoned with tomatoes, crushed red pepper, garlic and white wine.). I think the best Italian dish I have ever had (and I have been to Italy). The pasta was cooked to perfection--none of the flavorless stuff you might find elsewhere, and the sauce was out of this world. My husband had the Grigliata di Mare (Grilled scallops, prawns, calamari, parsley, lemon sauce, roasted potatoes and arugula salad) and also raved about it. Great service and reasonable prices. 💞We will definitely be back!”

“Can't rly give atmosphere 5 stars because it's takeout only but the wife and I love this place! Banh mi is excellent, as are the bowls of whatever. I don't think there's anything the owner chef woman can't make well. She used to run 3 restaurants! Also she is an angel. Go there for the owner chef woman if nothing else. Also egg rolls and crab rangoon are yummy.

“Delicious, friendly, and peaceful since the first time we went here in the 90s, had 2 bday dinners, and had lunch with my childhood friend from Asia. But recently, the sushi, it's like I was playing Barbie meals with my date but at adult price. No other places I've been, served good sushi smaller than average.”

“The nostalgia of walking into the legendary franchise😇☺️!! Had my SONS 2nd bday party here on Saturday. We had the MegaFun package & our host Kimberly was very helpful. She had to go around & help others as it was busy but overall fun experience.. My only critique is when Chucky Mascot came out, all the toddlers, lil ones & MY SON as well was completely blocked out I felt soo bad couldnt even get to him because the older kids bombarded him. I had to pick my lil man up so he can see.. I was lowkey pissed but I know they were excited. Maybe enforce short to tall so everyone can see him.. He also came by our table to sing the birthday song at our table for him so that kind of made up for it✨️🎉‼️.”

“This place has been a staple for our family for years! Occasionally they will get a takeout order wrong (incorrect toppings etc), but typically we are happy with our pizzas. When we've eaten in it's always been a good experience. Love the customizable options for varying diet preferences.”

“I ordered 22 individual meals for a company lunch. The food was prepared, boxed, and ready to go in less than an hour. They made sure to write who's food belonged to which employee on their boxes, and went over my checklist with me more than once to make sure nothing had been missed.

My staff loved the food and I received many comments about how good it was. I would rate this business higher than a 5 if I could.

“Love your strawberry lemon ice tea. Love it so much. Also your Almond Croissant. One problem at Pinole. Very slow service. It takes me always 10 to 15 minutes to get my order. Love Hercules Peet’s coffee. Barista is so fast.”
