“We've seen this place a few times and wanted to have some Chinese food, so in we went. The staff all speak very limited English but are super friendly and prompt with everything. Don't go there and expect small chit chat with anyone, just getting down to business and eating. The place was clean. The service was quick. The food was good. The Mongolian beef was really good and flavorful. The lemon chicken has a great taste but I don't think there was any chicken in it. It tasted like all breading which wasn't crispy at all. Think funnel cake texture. It wasn't good and we wouldnt get that again. The chow mein said combo which we assumed was beef, shrimp and chicken. Turns out it was seafood combo with chicken. It wasn't bad, just surprised. The only thing that brings this review down is the fact that they put an 18% service charge automatically on every check and don't tell you. Which is a little disturbing and feels deceiving. If you're going to charge me for a tip, don't expect me to tip you again. Put up signs that say
18% automatic charge or have it posted on the menu“

“As a person from Hong Kong, the interior and food remind me a old(8-90’s) Cantonese restaurant flavour… it is just a very subtle experience from the environment and my tongue.. especially the dish Combinacion, the duck (pato). It is a delicious meal overall“

“I was searching for a dim sum place and this restaurant’s name came up with decent reviews. I went there but found out that they no longer serve dim sum, only the regular Chinese food menu. We ended up ordered congee and lobster noodles and those were quite good.“

“Our hungry family arrived 30min before closing but the entire staff was super courteous, professional, and very kind! The food was amazing too and all of us had such a nice 30min meal!! We wanted to be kind to them and made it as quickly as possible~ and they wraped leftovers for to-go. We will surely go back for lunch time dim sum!!“

“I love going to this restaurant during my lifetime. Dim sum is really good and fresh. My sister and our relatives bought home food and usually they get eaten in a day or two. Goes to show how good the food is.
I should plan to go to that restaurant to dine in and review its atmosphere. It’s been years since having to dine there, but I want to see if there are any changes at the inside.“

“Growing up in San Francisco, Yong Kang is an excellent choice for a Cantonese family style restaurant. The food is tasty, there's an excellent variety of entrees at a reasonable price, and the portions are large. Everything you'd want in a family style restaurant. It's the best in Fremont.“

“I do not normally respond to reviews, however, XW(hanlu) decided post a photo of me, so here is my perspective. Also a few convenient details XWhanlu left out.
XWhanlu is accusing my dimsum food runner, a 50+ year old Asian woman, mask wearing, soft spoken and mother, of “insulting” her 4 year old daughter………(no words were exchanged between XWhanlu).
XWhanlu is standing up and shouting out loud, making a scene. Clearly out of control.
I introduced myself as the manager on duty, immediately apologize for the incident, said I will talk to my food runner later in PRIVATE.
XWhanlu did not like my response..she DEMANDED I tell my food runner to give a table side apology “I am sorry”. (To shame her)
I explained to XWhanlu that is not our policy, we talk to our employees in PRIVATE if there is a complaint, but XWhanlu disagreed, said the correct policy is to have our employee apologize “I am sorry” in person, in public….
XWhanlu said “she would make her 4 year old child apologize”. Again…my employee is a 50+ year old Asian mother, she is not a child, we talk to them in private. (XWhanlu is not understanding basic respect for employees privacy). I responded we are in America, not China, we do not do that here in America.
Here are a few details XWhanlu conveniently left out:
XWhanlu started recording me illegally, I did not provide my consent, I told her to stop, she continued. No respect for my privacy, a reoccurring theme.
Because XWhanlu continued her disruption of our business, I asked them to leave and the entire meal is comped. She refused to leave and responded by calling the police.
The police arrived, informed XWhanlu that nothing criminal has occurred, the business is at no fault, and that they need to leave or it is trespassing.
XWhanlu agreed to leave if she received an apology “I am sorry”. The police officer laughed and said, no, that is not happening.
XWhanlu called the police on me for being “rude”, the police asked if I wanted to press charges for making a false report. I said NO, just make them leave.“

“Here's the review with the added information:
"Great take out place for roasted duck and pork. My fav is duck roasted plate which came with rice and steamed cabbage. Loved the duck flavor. It's in the lions supermarket complex, just outside the supermarket. Not recommended for dining-in. It's a quick grab the food and take away."“
