“We came here in 1980,81,82. It was a one room cabin . Bar with 3 bar stools- one behind the bar. An old 50'S fridge, 6 pack nehih soda, 6 pack beer(I think Olimpa). The elderly man had to be 80 plus. We chatted a bit with him. The cabin behind had an outside shower. I think he said primitive over 100 years. Dirt road in. Single lanes mostly. And you couldn't get in there in winter. Snow! Memories going there were great.”

“I just bbq’d one of the best ribeye steaks I’ve ever had!! It was packaged today and was super tender, amazing flavor!! Last weekend, I ordered 2 giant subs from the deli and they were making them when I arrived! Very fresh and nicely loaded…just wanted to do a shout out to the Safeway staff, you don’t have easy jobs, but wanted to make sure you know you are appreciated by us locals 🥰”

“Finally a five star restaurant in Pollock Pines. I found a restaurant that understands my particular order of a well done steak. No it wasn’t served to me as beef jerky, it was perfect and sooo delicious.”

“The feeling and atmosphere were amazing. You want a bar. This is your bar. It will be different from the town vibe, but it's a bar with 2 pool tables and great drinks. I got cocktails that tasted great, and my boyfriend got beers that were off the tab, but overall, the taste of alcoholic drinks they give are great. Price range is normal and they have specials too. The other great thing is that it's dog friendly, I'm not too sure on cats. The owner and the bartenders are really friendly.”

“Staff is great, pizza is fresh and delicious. I have been twice on this work trip. I LOVED the parmasean garlic wings. They did make my 24 cnt wings slightly incorrectly but they fixed it before i left with no issue. Patio is dog friendly and they can provide a little tin for water of needed.

If you're on a work trip, real nice to go to while doing laundry next door.”

“Just a Safeway Starbucks but the single employee working was helpful and typical Starbucks espresso. Not great but better than a gas station coffee. It was convenient and no other options nearby when passing through Pollock. 5 stars based on what you expect from Starbucks. Not quality but availability. And the great employee of course.”

“We stopped at this Subway for a couple of hours while doing some work, and the experience was amazing! My sandwich was made perfectly 👌 — fresh, tasty, and exactly how I wanted it. Huge thanks to the two gentlemen working there 🙏 for their kindness and hospitality. They even offered us drinks and chips 🍟. Truly one of the best Subway experiences I’ve had. “We had a birthday dinner at Wonderful Chinese last night. When the reservations were made, I mentioned we were celebrating 3 birthdays. I did this to see if it would be okay to bring in a birthday cake and they said no problem. Much to our surprise when it was time for cake they brought out one, they had bought to add to the celebration. It was very touching and even more fun to hear Happy Birthday sung in Chinese. Thank you to everyone at Wonderful Chinese for a scrumptious dinner and helping us to make some special memories!”

“This place is so wonderful. Their food is amazing, especially the baked mussels. I bring kids and their patio is perfect for a family situation. They pepper the kids with little treats and are so kind and patient with families. But they also offer a very serene setting inside. We will support this restaurant forever. Amazing people, fresh and wonderful food.”

They helped us choose what wines were the best and what they pair best with, along with aging times. Fairly priced and the wines are amazing. They made us feel welcomed and provided a comforting environment. Definitely recommend!”

“I LOVE this place! Though it may seem small, it makes up for that tenfold in heart. The person working the bakery window was so kind, and the slices of fresh pie were heated up for us, so how could we say no to a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top?! I enjoyed the berry and apple slice, and I also bought a frozen pie of the same variety to take home. Their selection of goods in the shop and frozen items is terrific!”
