Mashed avocado, toasted red pepper flakes and blistered teardrop tomatoes topped with sunflower seeds, pickled red onions and micro greens on thick toasted multigrain bread.

Azalea sandwich - HARD PASS FOR ME next time
Smoky chipotle sauce, fried egg, Pepper Jack cheese, caramelized onions, black forest ham, crisp bacon and pico de gallo on a toasted ciabatta.

New recipe made with *black sesame paste,* simple syrup and a little charcoal to keep the same spirit of the original.

Most shudder at the idea, but this coffee is rich and absolutely delicious--- and the strength, which is a relative term, only increases the enjoyment. Starbuck's, for example, is strong, as well, but it can be bitter and harsh. Not so wide WE beans! Quite the opposite. It's a grand place to sit and relax, and the atmosphere is cordial and inviting. “I used to go to the OG location in North Hollywood so I was thrilled when this location opened up. If you love tea, their selection is awesome and they’ll do their own blends that are super refreshing. Their pastry selection is on point and I love that they’ll make breakfast sandwiches. It’s a bummer there isn’t much space to stick around and enjoy your beverage while you work or something, so don’t expect a big space. But it’s still delightful and I’m so glad there’s a good coffee shop in the area that isn’t a giant corporation.“

“This was my first visit with Philz coffee. I cannot rave enough about it! Outstanding customer service! I let them know that it was my first visit. How the ordering process worked was explained I selected the Chia Tea, such amazing notes and crafted to my expectations. I was asked to sample the taste before placing my lid. “The valley is filled with all sorts of amazing diners and Nat’s is definitely one of them. I drive up to the valley from West LA frequently for great diners and would highly suggest trying this one out if you haven’t already. It’s a traditional country diner with large sized portions and fair pricing. They have a very small parking lot in the back, but it was full when we arrived for Saturday brunch so we had to do metered street parking. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out quickly. Inside is really homely and fairly small. They don’t have outdoor seating so if it’s very busy, expect to wait a little bit for one of the inside tables.

They have a fairly large menu, and it has all the classic options that you would expect. As always I started with a cup of coffee and it was strong and delicious. We also shared a Cinnamon Roll to start our meal and it was honestly really good. It did not have the traditional white cream cheese frosting, but I still enjoyed it. For my meal, I chose the Short Rib Benedict and thought it was terrific. The meat was really tender, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I would definitely order it again.

Overall a great diner and a solid breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot. I plan to be back in the near future to try more items.

“Stopped here on the way to the airport and I was not disappointed! I had a ham, cheese, mushroom and onion omelette (not on the menu exactly) with country potatoes and it was delicious! The coffee was good, the food came fast and got and the server was great. I'll be eating here again when I'm back in town. But they are cash only, luckily I had some on hand . . .“

“Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. Nothing against Starbs, but their mass-premade breakfast sandwiches can’t hold a candle to the breakfast sandwiches here; Stringy, melty cheese, savory sausage or crispy bacon, and an aioli that elevates the whole thing! And that blueberry streusel muffin is FIRE!

Luis, Desiree and Gio have made me feel right at home the past couple of times I’ve been here, the space is open and bright and they got great vibes playing over the sound system.

Did I mention they sell coffee too? Excellent flavors. So far I’ve have their horchata latte and dulce de leche; customize as you like. EXCELLENT!

“10 Speed Coffee is a hidden gem tucked behind Calabasas Rd in a quiet little nook--not exactly the kind of place you'd stumble upon unless you're lost or in-the-know. It's a sleek, cozy spot, but the two entrances make the line feel like a choose-your-own-adventure-especially when it's busy and the baristas are working at lightning speed.

The back patio is where this place really shines--shaded, peaceful, and centered around a small decorative pond that adds a surprisingly zen vibe. It's ideal for a first date, a quiet work session, or tossing around big ideas (my wife and I treat it like our unofficial creative office-slash-people-watching HQ).

The cortado? Strong, smooth, and Cuban-grandma approved--which is a gold standard in my book. The avocado toast is a sleeper hit: arugula, sesame seeds, cucumber, a dash of spice--it's basically an edible spa day.
Now, about those ceiling heaters. They're always on in the mornings and will slowly roast you like a free-range chicken. You can ask to have them turned off, but it becomes a weird social dance with the table next to you--do they want it off? Are you the problem?

Still, between the strong coffee, great food, and tranquil vibes, it's a solid spot. Just bring a fan... or maybe a rotisserie timer.“
