“I went to the Full Circle Saloon and they played this degrading song that said “A lap dance is better when the stripper is crying. Well I find it quite a thrill when she grinds me against her will.” More lyrics from this song say ” I told Bambi I wanted to skin her….. and wear her face like a mask. I have to admit it was even more of a turn-on when I found out she was doin’ me to buy baby formula.” This is a a song appropriate for serial killers and John’s who rape sex workers who are forced by their situation to work against their will. The bartender was angry and irritated with me when I asked to him to please turn it off. Two other female workers were unconcerned. The Female owner Michelle Bailey said she will not be a song N*** and did not offer to do anything about it. Oh She said there is a guy there that likes to play this song when he plays pool. If people there accept this happening I will vote by not going there.“

“Normally I like to keep gems like this to myself, but walking through literal back alleys in San Diego to be introduced to this incredible Hi-Fi listening speakeasy was just too awesome and I hope everyone I love gets a chance to get on the reservation list, stat. I'm a speakeasy veteran with a coast to coast cocktail sipping resume that spans from SF to Boston and New Orleans to Chicago, and this spot has definitely landed in my top ten. The atmosphere, the staff, the tunes, and the drinks are all so special and perfectly curated for maximum delight. Every aspect of CMB is comfortable and balanced, and so very easy to enjoy. They found a great groove and kept it going.“

“We visited Hoorah Cafe for brunch right after our son’s graduation, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Even though they don’t take reservations and the place was absolutely packed with graduates and their families, the wait for a table wasn’t bad at all. It honestly felt like the team anticipated the rush — they were organized, calm, and ready for the day.
Once seated, our food took about 20–30 minutes, which was completely understandable given the huge crowd that arrived all at once. What impressed us most was how smoothly the staff handled everything. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, even under pressure.
The food itself was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and worth the wait. They also have a great coffee bar, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed some really yummy coffee while waiting, and it made the whole morning feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and left extremely happy. Highly recommend Hoorah Cafe, especially for brunch, and we’re already looking forward to returning soon.“

“I had an amazing experience at Cutwater Spirits Tasting Room & Kitchen! Our server, Danielle, took exceptional care of us and truly made my birthday feel special. The drinks were delicious, the ambience was perfect, and the Christmas décor was absolutely on point festive without being overwhelming. Everything came together for a memorable night. I enjoyed myself so much that I'll definitely be back, even all the way from the Carolinas!“

“God, everything is delicious! I used to work in front of the restaurant so I’ve tried many options on the menu and today I drove from home (UTC La Jolla) just to have the steak and eggs burrito plus I took one carne assada burrito to go. Without mentioning their sauces are the best. I don’t mind driving from home bc the quality is the best in the city - it’s extremely fresh! 5 starts ❤️🙏 thank you for making me so happy! 🤤“

“I had such a great experience at Ayu Sushi in Carmel Valley! What I loved most was their dog-friendly patio—it's so spacious and convenient for pet owners. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure both we and our pup were comfortable. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing outdoor lunch. The sushi was fresh and the service was top-notch. Definitely our new favorite local spot!“
“Fun af. Partner went in. We’re gay. Really welcoming straight pool bar. Won 2. Lost 1. lol. For all you straight dudes…. Couple hot women. Nothing Special. Not a hook up bar. Have gone back several times. Clean. Parking great. Fair prices. Amazing pool players. Check it out.“

“I really want to absolutely love this place but I’ve come in twice during karaoke and had to leave due to headaches caused by the sound system being way too loud or not mixed well for higher harsher tones. Never left a review like this but hoping it helps. I want to come back and not have to leave because my head hurts. Hope you guys can figure out the sound a little better. Love the place though!“

“The Alibi is no longer, it is now the Malt House. What a refreshing difference. From the lighting to the layout this place is fab. They have pool and shuffle board and plenty of TVs for all of the sports fans. The bartender that I met is Eric and he is a really nice guy. He is courteous, sociable and efficient, these are qualities all bartenders should have. For those of us who were not regulars of the Alibi were not treated very well by the night bartender Laura. Well, she's no longer tending bar and it's a whole new atmosphere. If you're going to Santee or even just passing through I recommend a visit to the Malt House. Oh, I almost forgot, the bathrooms and patio that were in desperate need of an overhaul were remodeled, job very well done. I will definitely be patronizing the Malt House more often.“

“A good tiki bar with a fun way to get in. Upper mid tier quality drinks. I'd say their bar program is above average for the tiki/vacation bars in SD. In my experience their drinks lean on the tart and/or boozy side of how tiki drinks go as opposed to some bars that emphasize sweetness or Spiced flavors.“
“Fun place. It's part bar and dinning area and then the back has karaoke rooms. The rooms were spacious and the song options were large. Our room seemed to be the only one that didn't have a tablet in it to order food and drink so we had to walk to the front to do so. Otherwise we had a great time.“
