“Have tried two other Taco Stand locations and now came to give this one a try.

I think this location was a little bit of hit or miss depending on the day and the menu item.

We got some tacos delivered home and sister-in-law, friend as well as husband loved everything they got! Sister-In-Law and friend were visiting from out of town and they really liked the food here so much that they wanted to get it again before leaving from their visit.
They really seemed to like Pollo(chicken) and Shrimp tacos.
One thing to note is that when you order delivery on doordash they end up charging for adding the sauces which is not the case. When you put a pickup order from the store directly because you can just take as many sauces as you would like.

Husband and I also brought another friend here who was visiting from Canada and she was totally surprised by the quality of the tacos here! The pork taco must have been her favorite and I think it was the combination of the pork and pineapple in there!

I really loved the Shrimp Taco! This was my first time trying the shrimp taco and I think the combination of everything went really well. I was not expecting that cheese to be put on the tortilla so next time I think I would ask them to skip that to make it a little healthier. There was quite an amount of oil in the shrimp though, so I think that's another thing that I would like to change but otherwise overall flavor profile was lovely.

I usually love the fish taco from the other locations, but this one was subpar. It was actually quite a big thick fillet of fish so a lot of the bites felt like eating a big chunk of fish and not enough sauce or flavoring and tortilla to go with. Definitely appreciate the large portion size of the fish in there, but I think it ended up being too much fish for that one particular taco. Husband also have the same experience so it must have just been this particular day that the pieces of fish were very big. Definitely need to give it another try!“

“Don't waste your time or.money going anywhere else! The food is to die for and the service is exceptional! The part about Harvest Taco Shop is that has been family owned and operated for like 30 years and they treat you like family . The salsa bar is better than anyone's plus they give you free chips. “Best taco shop in lakeside and Santee! I have gotten the California burrito and machaca plate the most there. If you go to their website you can order online for pick up which is super convenient (no drive through).
I give the atmosphere a 3 star because there are a lot of homeless in this shopping center and it just looks very old.“

“Suggestions, change your flour tortilla. The tortilla you use for your burrito is stale and chewy. The rest of the food ingredients are fine.

“Their salsas are perfection, they even have them in big ketchup/mustard plastic bottles for you to enjoy at your table, and their pollo is to die for. I’m avoiding red meat so I’ve tried their pollo nachos but usually get the #9 (two pollo tacos w/ rice and beans) they might have the best beans and rice in San Diego. The experience they deliver is everything you could ask for and more, easily the best service I’ve received in any similar establishment. I discovered this spot in April it’s been my new Saturday tradition to stop by ever since.“

The prices were much better than anything here in Mira Mesa area, and the food was delicious!! Portion sizes were great and flavor was on point. Our new favorite place! Thank you :)“

“The Breakfast Burritos are my favorite. Make sure to ask for the bacon in it extra crispy. The chorizo burrito is good but can be greasy, I made the mistake of opening up my burrito and had to rewrap it in a new tortilla because it was so soaked in grease. It tasted pretty good though. I wish they had more options for hot sauces or a salsa bar. Red and green are your only options here. Overall, they aren't the best but no way are they the worst place to eat it at. I go here regularly and I would rate them a little above average. Their prices aren't too bad compared to some places that have raised their prices 50% or more in the last few years charging $18+ for a carne asada burrito so I'm glad for that. Overall, I would recommend going here if you want cheap prices and good decent food.“

“Is it the best birria I’ve ever had in my life? No. Surprisingly that was in Seattle, but it is tasty. The consume is a little salty though and I love some salt tbh. It might need a little more cheese or something. I would return if I visit here again but would still try some other restaurant here that offer quesa birria

“Excellent fish items. Fishes are high quality. Grilling is almost perfect. Marinade, especially cajun, is supreme. Portions are sufficient. Service is above board except that ordering is at the counter and not on your table. Overall, a high caliber restaurant.“

The birria is so tasty and juicy and meat very satisfying and cheese was good gluten do wish more was in the tacos. The qusadilla was pretty big and very filling big birria flavors definitely recommend them but all the taco flavors are great and good choices here with friendly service and was quick and great choice with spots to sit in group of tables or est in the car.

“Had takeout at least 15 times now over a few years. They deserve a review. Some of the best carne chips I’ve ever had. The beans are always the tell of a place. They are almost always really flavorful, smooth and not tight or wet. Breakfast burritos are a bit different and I’m a fan. The hash browns and crema are now something I sometimes want in a breakfast burro. The house red salsa has a onion and garlic kick. So good. Staff is always friendly.“

Only complaint I have is the fact that the burritos literally only come with the meat and cheese. I don’t understand that. So after I added all the normal burrito ingredients the price was SO high. “We don't usually eat in the restaurant, or eat much fast food in general, but I have to say that today, I am so glad we did! We juat now arrived home and i could not wait to comment. The young man Roderick (Rod) Mayfield, behind the register is one of the smartest hiring decisions management has made. The level of genuine kindness and caring that my husband and i were met with and further witnessed as he assisted others needs to be commended. The most notable was when he assisted 2 elderly women, perhaps in their 80's and a bit slow with age, with an immeasurable level of patence and compassion, that very few people posess. This young man could not assist them quick enough with carrying their food to their table as one clearly walked with a cane. He has restored a bit of my faith in humanity with all the hatred going on in the world today. People should take note and emulate him, even a fraction of his behavior. “everytime i go to a jack in the box i ask them for a lot of ranch as much as they can give me and i always get 3-4 but at this one the cashier just knew i wanted ranch and gave me a total of 10 ranches best customer service ive ever had. also last night i came after the inside had closed and they took my order through the drive through and it was super fast and they were nice about it.“

“Rude and your order is never right. What a shame to be the only place open for a person like me. Who works till 2am and on the regular gets screwed over by a franchise restaurant. Spoke to the manager a few times and unfortunately was uncooperative , unbelievably rude and condescending. It amazes me how some people are in the fast food industry. If you can’t stand the heat. Get out of the kitchen.“
