“What a hidden gem! I stopped by this little strip mall spot in Pinole not expecting much—and ended up having one of the best falafel and chicken plates I’ve had in a while.

The falafel? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and clearly just made. None of that dry hockey puck nonsense. And the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection—not the sad, dry chunks you sometimes get at these places.

Portion size was just right—enough to fill me up without needing a nap afterward. And the price? Let’s just say my wallet didn’t cry.

The staff was super friendly, too. You can tell they care about the food they’re putting out. If you’re in the area and craving something fresh, hearty, and delicious, don’t sleep on this spot. Strip mall or not, this place delivers.“

“What a delicious and delightful and beautiful treasure. The food is absolutely tantalizing. I mean everything is oh so good. I can’t wait to eat here again. “(4.5 rounding up) We walked in to a clean space that you could def eat in at. The man at the cash register was super kind and friendly. He gave us some tea while we waited for the food which did take a tad longer than I expected bc no one else ordered before us visually but then 2 people came by for the their pick up orders so we will do that next time.

Husband got the plate and I got the wrap for chicken shawarma and it was good! Not better than my own imo haha but it actually does taste like 85% similar.

It’s partially on us bc we did take out and had to run an errand before we could eat so it was a tad soggy and it had a slight spice to it I didn’t care for but for reference I don’t even like black pepper so take that statement with a grain of salt (pun unintended).

I will def come again and order the same thing but maybe request to not have all the extra stuff inside bc as a Lebanese I prefer my shawarma with as minimal things inside as possible. I was also definitely missing my pickled turnips 😩“

“This review is just for the Sichuan Hot Chicken which I've eaten twice. Overall it's pretty good, but it's not great, and I really want it to be great. In concept this is a really thoughtful and well-executed sandwich. It has great veggies and really crisp, juicy chicken. It reminds me of what I had in the night markets in Taiwan. The breading is good too, although I feel it could be a bit thicker.

Where it falls short for me is in flavor. The Sichuan spices are there, but they are overpowered by the sheer amount of chili powder and salt that the chicken is breaded in. I was looking for more in the sauce as well - honestly maybe just adding more sauce would accomplish that. If I could get more of that peppercorn flavor, less salt, and more sauce, I think it'd be a 10/10.“

“They are DELICIOUS. The marketing/design of the product is great. They even super conscious of the environmentally when it comes to the packaging. Would by again! I got the sauce trio and the sumac. There was a problem in transit with two of the products. Customer service was top notch. Sent replacements right away. Ethical and amazing company.“

“I had the most heartwarming experience at this spot in Downtown Oakland! After a while, I finally got to reunite with my best friend, and we decided to meet here for breakfast. The buffet was fresh, delicious, and had a great variety to choose from. The coffee was strong and smooth—just what we needed to start our morning. “We live in this neighborhood and if you know the North Shattuck and Northbrae Neighborhoods, there is no shortage of walkable dining. We just love Jerusalem Organic Kitchen for a consistently well prepared meal, friendly staff, and really good ingredients! They serve a quick, casual, healthy, and absolutely delicious meal. Everything we have tried is great with balanced seasonings. My personal favorite is the Shawarma Platter. Don't miss the perfectly prepared salmon platter with a generous serving of salmon that won't set you back an arm and a leg. The salad with chicken shawarma on top is great too. And they, of course, prepare a great middle eastern platter and falafel platter. And if all you want is a sandwich or burger - you won't be disappointed. Get the idea? “I had lunch here on a Sunday, shortly after they opened up. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I had hummus and chicken kabobs. The tabouleh was very good with lavash. The hummus was creamy and thick. The kabobs were tender, and served with delicious vegetables and rice. The hot sauce added a nice tang without too much heat. The interior is charming and has a sense of bright, dreamy relaxation. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I love this place and go at least once or twice a month..My wife loves the chicken shawarma either the plate or the wrap..I love the falafel, and the lamb shawarma..This time I hooked up with a dear friend, she and I ordered the lamb shanks..the serving is huge!! Wonderful rice, and a separate plate with yogurt , cucumber sald and a cabbage salad..tremendouws value, but to much meat for me..So I am sticking with my go to items mentioned above...We had the Kanefa(?) it was not the best i have had..that was in Dearborn, but my friend di not care for it, so the baker gave her two more different dessert servings..so typical of the genorisity of this place. I grew in this neighborhood and must say or Muslim neighbors eatery is a welcome addition!!“

“Delicious kabab plates with a lovely showcase of desserts. The food is fresh, reasonably priced, and their lamb is well worth it.

They don't have much seating space (2 2-person tables) and a restroom that's well-maintained.

All the meals are served in to go containers with fast preparation!“

“Yesterday was our first time here. Staff was friendly & helpful. Ordered a chicken rice plate, shrimp rice plate and a Gyro. All of it was tasty. We all agreed we would gladly eat here again. We sat on the street, watching the world go by while shoveling in the delishness. Affordable & we paid with card. Could use some fresh paint & some deep cleaning though. “The chicken halal plate from this place is Beyond DELICIOUS! If you like halal food, you won’t be disappointed eating here. It’s pretty good. The block it’s in can be sketchy at times, so practice caution when parking, stay alert and quick purchasing. They also have really good herbs, seasonings and products to purchase.“

“I give the highest caterer recommendation to Ikaros To Go (catering by the team that ran Ikaros restaurant). They planned and managed a very delicious memorial dinner for us for approximately 75 guests. The customer service and food were excellent - our menu included roasted salmon, vegetarian mousaka, rice, Greek salad and garlic bread, plus dessert of Baklava and sugar cookies which everyone also loved. They also handled dinnerware, water, lots of set up and clean up, soft drinks and pretty bottled Greek waters for the tables. Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years... The man who operates it took it over from his daughter and son-in-law... It used to be called Misha's Gyros ... I went in recently and I didn't quite recognize the guy with his hat ?... He was related to the people I saw BEFORE, I knew THAT -but I wasn't sure if it was a relative of theirs/or the same Guy -because it has been so many years! I saw him before the pandemic...

It turns out it's the same man and he maintains and operates his restaurant dutifully and faithfully after all these years!

THE FOOD WAS SO FILLING THAT I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO FALL ASLEEP! INCREDIBLE SPICE /INCREDIBLE FLAVOR TO THE CHICKEN GYROS... I WAS FEELING SO LETHARGIC I WORRIED ABOUT WHETHER I COULD GET TO MY CAR IN THE PARKING GARAGE AND DRIVE HOME 8 MI AWAY SAFELY!

AN HOUR LATER I WAS IN BED AND I REALIZED IT WAS THE LONGEST HOUR... BECAUSE OF ALL THE CALORIES AND NUTRITION IT WAS AS IF TIME EXPANDED ITSELF AND LASTED LONGER!
