“I used Simurgh to cater my husband's memorial of about 40 people. Everything about the experience with Simurgh and Hatice was stellar. She responded to all of my email inquires promptly, helpfully and with grace. Ordering and paying was as simple as could be. But the real star of this review was the food. Every single thing I ordered was fabulous - the food was fresh, well prepared, authentically Turkish, and completely over-the-top delicious. I was very appreciative of the awareness of the need for vegan and vegetarian options. And finally, there aren't many places in the States where you can get simit that are authentic. There was high praise for the food from everyone I spoke to about it at the event. Simurgh will have new fans. So glad this place exists and so grateful for their beautiful, careful, delicious work.“
“First time at Sumac and I was so impressed the food was amazing! The owner was so nice and generous. We were not familiar with the food and she gave us samples and spent time explaining what it was and how it was made etc. we got the falafel wrap, lentil balls with rice and tabouli and the red bell pepper dip(I can’t remember the name). Everything was amazing! The owner even threw in bread pudding for free and it was so incredibly good probably the best I ever had! Can’t wait to go again! This is a pick up and go place no seating to eat. They are very efficient and fast we didn’t order ahead of time but it didn’t take long at all to get our food and they were very busy! Thank you for a wonderful Valentine’s Dinner you did not disappoint!“
“Well , to start off I do believe I was the first of the day, so you guys really need to clean the grill a lot better !!! the meat tastes burnt!!! other than that the flavors were there , the pickle the lettuce, yogurt sauce, the dill. The pitas were perfect 10 outta 10 . WAYY SMALL PORTIONS!!! S SIGN OF THE TIMES I GUESS...“
“We celebrated our anniversary at Dalida's. It was wonderful. We selected the Chef's menu which was a great decision. The option lets the Chef decide what to prepare and have served. Every selection was flavorful and interesting. In addition, with a little guidance from us, the sommelier recommended a bottle of wine that was a perfect complement to the Chef's menu. Last, the service was impeccable. The entire staff works together in a complementary way that makes service seamless. It was a great night out for dinner. We're looking forward to returning for lunch and another dinner (but probably not on the same day). Yum...yum.“
“Food: The salmon plate is fantastic. All of the gyro plates are delicious and have a great value. You are able to get a lot of food for a reasonable price (San Francisco price standards).Service: Pelia provides amazing customer service. She makes you feel welcomed, remembers customers, and always greets you with a smile.Atmosphere: very calm atmosphere. It is a great people watching spot as well, if you are someone who enjoys that.I also appreciate that they have two bathrooms and that they do not require keys or codes to unlock them.I come here often because it is never disappointing and the experience is very satisfying. I would recommend to anyone in North Beach who is craving Mediterranean cuisine.“
“I stopped here out of curiosity to after getting items from Arizmendi and Los Cantaros Taqueria. I got the Honey Cake slice, chocolate baklava, and pistachio almond cookies (gluten free). Hatice the owner is very friendly and answered any questions I had. The Honey Cake was amazing, just the right amount of sweetness, not too much. I ate up the cake and baklava but shared the cookies. My family members said the cookies were great. I'll try to arrive before 12noon another time to get their breakfast items, like the egg in the hole. This will be one of my new go to places for food.“
