“I've been dining at grand Asia since 2018 and I absolutely love it! The owners have always been pleasant, and the food has never disappointed me. I actually eat her at least twice per month. Have previously reviewed on yelp and decided to do also on google!
My favorite dish of all has been the kung pow chicken! It's always been fresh and cooked to my liking.
The prices are competitive yet affordable and the portions are generous.“

“Been coming here since i was a kid, i remember my parents getting off work and taking me here to buy food. Local business thats been around for YEARS! freshness made to order & quality. I also enjoy knowing its a family owned business and ive seen the family grow over the years of me being a customer. If you want real chicken and real food this is the place to come. expect REAL FOOD. And not perfectly shaped orange chicken pieces. The flavor of the food is perfect & the orange chicken & chow mein taste good!! even my 2 year old daughter eats it!! portions are big and essentially you are paying for quality.
Highly recommend this is the best chinese food in Riverbank. Id drive 30 mins to come here any day. Family is very friendly & love the atmosphere inside!! 10/10 recommendation“

“I ordered my meals on the app and have been absolutely delighted with both the food and the service, but please beware during busy times! I usually come Monday through Thursday around 2:00 p.m. and I made the mistake of coming in Friday at 2 :00 and the food was just horrible in every way. Service was still with a smile and efficient. Just the food was terrible. They make it way too far in advance during their busy time. Can you imagine what it would be like at dinner! I will continue to be a valued christopheric. I just will only stop by in the afternoon Monday through Thursday!“

“We came from Yosemite and looking for a nice food to eat. All that we see is american foods until we found this restaurant. The food is really good and worth it. I liked the hot and sour soup and egg flower soup. We ordered Family B for dinner and we only paid $35+ the menu says good for 2 but it is actually good for family of 3-4. We had to take the leftover food home because the serving is a lot. We also liked the cream cheese wontons. The server is also very friendly. My daughter doesn't really like people but she liked the server. We will definitely be back again next time. Thank you“

“First time here with my family. We were a party of 9. They greeted & seated us quickly. We ordered the egg rolls, spring rolls, & wontons Some of us ordered combos & others shared plates that were chow mein & sweet and sour chicken. Everything came out at the same time. I ordered a hot tea for my drink. It hit the spot. They were so sweet & called us hun. Made us feel so welcome! Thank you! I will be here again in the future :)“

“Okay so right when Jimmy's sushi took over the last Chinese food spot I decided to give it a shot ! & It was SO worth it ! The employees are awesome ( I believe it's father & son) they have FRESH ingredients & their hand rolls are top tier , but what really got me were their prices ! They have GREAT prices for quality sushi ! I've gotten the pleasure of trying their spicy tuna hand roll & the crispy tempura roll , both AMAZING! I really am so happy Modesto had a great sushi spot on this side of town ! I say absolutely give this place a shot ! You will not be disappointed 👍“

I got the lemon chicken dinner plate, which came with fried rice, chow mein, soup, an egg roll, and a wonton — all for under $13! “Last week on the way back from Yosemite late evening, we're hungry and wanted to have dinner before getting home late. We searched on the map and we found this restaurant in Oakdale.
It's in a huge parking lot that is easy to find a space, it was a Friday and quite a few people in the restaurant, good sign.
This seems to be a family owned restaurant, the 2 brothers seem to take care of everything from busting the table to serving. They're both quite pleasant and attentive.
Looking at the menu, the prices are quite reasonable, every dish is under $18.
We're hungry and tired so we ordered the wor wonton soup to start, our favorite Chinese soup, we got the medium but quite large for both of us since we wanted to order something else.
The soup is quite tasty although the color of the soup isn't as clear as other restaurant, the wontons are over cooked and the skin are falling off the meat, everything else is good.
Mu Shu pork: it came with 5 chinese tortilla, quite large, a little thick but eatable, the stir fried ingredients are quite flavorful. It's also huge, I think it's intended for 5 people as appetizer.
Beef Chow Fun (dry) which we like, came out very good and the portion is also big. It looks like we're going to take a whole bunch home.
The Sizzling combo plate is quite sizzling and very tasty, but we could only try a few bites because we're full.
This restaurant is quite amazing for the area. We're glad we found this place, everything is inexpensive and quite excellent.
Next time if we go to Yosemite, we may stop by.“

“We LOVE coming to Hughson Asian Kitchen for their Sushi offerings.
Highly recommend the Vegetable Tempura (huge portion, 13 pieces), and the Dream Girl roll, Hulk roll, Warrior roll, and Scallop Roll.
(Going to try the Gorilla Roll next time🤗)

We will visit this restaurant again and again for the Sushi rolls mentioned above (and pictured below)!😋

Note: in our opinion, The Spider-Man roll and Lion King roll weren’t bad, but didn’t rise to the excellent level of the other rolls. Also, their Chinese food wasn’t our favorite, but wasn’t terrible.“

“I ordered the orange chicken, pork chow mein, and pork fried rice with a eggroll. It was very delicious, the orange chicken was cooked perfectly, it had a very nice crust, not too oily and the chicken inside was moist and delicious. The pork chow mein noodles were cooked very good, done just the way it should be. Seasoned very good, and not mushy at all. The rice was normal, yet still delicious. The eggroll was normal. Over all it was a very decent meal and I enjoyed it. It smelled clean and looked clean, I will definitely be coming back and I encourage you to give this spot a try. You want be disappointed!“

“We were a group of nine. First time I have ever seen where they add the tip and give you your final receipt without a line to mistakenly add another tip if you forgot to check! “Don't know about the food, haven't tried it yet. The menu prices are not accurate, everything is $2-3 higher than listed. All receipts are tallied on a calculator, with no detail as to what was ordered, how much or even taxes. Got kind of pissy when I asked for a breakdown.

Ok, got home and unpacked the food and I am changing my review to 4 stars. First, Golden Bowl gives you a LOT of food. Enough to feed at least four adults. And it's very fresh; excellent!!!
It's obvious the portions are for family-style serving. That said, I would suggest offering half orders, the criticism that they don't offer portions for single or even couples is justified. I would gladly pay $20 for half the food I just paid $35 for.

Still need to update the inaccurate menus and buy a cash register to detail the purchase. It just seems unethical. It might work in Asia, but not here. And don't get offended if someone questions the bill when your menu has the wrong prices and you provide no detail on the recept.“

“We recently celebrated a few birthdays here, and every time was great. For a party of 8 we spent about $135 with purchasing drinks as well. So under 5 is free. After 3:30 is all you can eat I’d recommend going at these time. You basically choose from a buffet of meat, and vegetables they cook it for on a high wok it’s worth it!! And with my daughter being sensitive to shrimp, they cleaned the wok every time, and we’ve had no reactions like with other places!! They do delivery with DoorDash, but they stay packed cause the food is amazing!!!“

“I see some FAKE reviews below from the competition recently during the pandemic take-out period. I know business is tough, but that's not right. Escalon loves this place! Sad!Very consistent food offerings and very friendly staff. Before sheltering in place, was often full and with many waiting for take out. Fast preparation too (hence the name "Express". Reasonable prices. I've eaten here and I've never been disappointed. True, you can find better Chinese food at some establishments, but at a higher price. Try the Vegetable Shrimp, Lemon Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken...always work for me. They have some new flavored Boba teas. Haven't tried them myself, but I see women at lunch time ordering them often. “Went for lunch here today with my boyfriend. We went for the Chinese side of the cuisine and ended up both getting japanese food. He got tonkotsu and chicken teriyaki lunch plate and I got yaki udon. I really love udon so it was nice seeing it on the menu, the udon was super good and I felt the portion sizes for me was perfect. My boyfriend did feel like he could have had a little bigger portion sizes, but also cant complain because the price was not bad at all for what we got. “I ordered over the phone for Pickup: Beef Vegetable Stir Fry and Chicken Fried Rice. Tasted good just as I expected. Only thing I don't like is the typical chinese restaurant puffy beef meat. Their chicken meat is not puffy, so it tasted better. If you cannot eat oyster sauce (e.g. due to allergies to crustaceans), make sure you tell them so and to substitute oyster sauce with soy sauce for the fried rice and substitute brown sauce with white sauce for the stir frys. That's what I did, and the nice lady who took my order made sure the food was done to my request. Pricing is good.“
