“Stopped in to get lunch while in Riverbank. We were greeted when we entered and asked if we had any questions. The resturant was fairly empty however we were in around 3pm which is in between meals for most. I hadn't been to an L&L in quite a while. The food was delicious as always. I love spam musibi so much. It is one of my favorite foods. My boyfriend and I were both unsure what we wanted. The kind woman at the counter was able to make half and half plates for us so we could mix and match. I was so thankful for this so I could have the kalua pork and the beef. 😋 the staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and there was plenty of sesting.“

“Just left this place and let me tell you….. 5 STARS! not sure if it’s family owned or not but they sure did make us feel like family. My girlfriend and I did a takeout order and when she was walking out she accidentally dropped it. The people inside saw this and IMMEDIATELY started making another one before they even came out to us. They came out to let us know they were making another one and made us feel so much better. The young girl in the front even came to clean it up right away. THIS is how you run a business. Hands down the best service ever!!!!!“

“My dining companion and I were surprised by the quality of the food in this understated, hole-in-the wall place. The ahi was notably fresh and the shrimp portion generous. I appreciated having four base options that included brown rice as one. Don't expect any atmosphere, but the bowls were just as we like them, the price good, and the service by the young ladies behind the counter excellent.“

“I've never had shabushabu before and it was amazing! So many choices of everything! It's buffet and ridiculously delicious. So much food and so healthy too. Good idea to go for lunch because it's cheaper than dinner. And they were so kind to let me and my friend sit as long as we wanted. The service was wonder. I will definitely be back!“

“I really wanted to try the ramen, but I cannot resist an unagi bowl whenever I see it on a menu. That and the prawn tempura were excellent. Next time we're in Modesto visiting family, I'm going to hope it's winter so I can try their ramen!“

“The bowl was alright, order it online to get better options and see what you wanna add, I did that and wow it was delicious haha not all ingredients taste good, so it depends on your preference, but one bowl got me super full haha I was barely able to finish it. Keep in mind I am a big person haha“
