12 Best Wineries near Rocklin

Cante Ao Vinho Bar • $$
5250 Front St, Rocklin

“This was a great accidental find! I was with friends checking out Loomis and we decided to stop at this winery. So fun! Think neighborhood bar where everyone is welcome. I'm not a big wine drinker but I enjoyed the Rose. It was fruity, fresh, and crisp. They sell charcuterie. The fun part is they had a snack table . People put snacks on a table and everyone was welcome to help themselves. They had a live band. We sang to the music, danced, and cheered. The building was rustic and the atmosphere was layed back. They had a projector shining onto the wall and people watched the football game. I'm coming back for out sure!“

Rappé Family Vineyards Winery •
6680 Mt Vernon Rd, Auburn - 10.39 miles

“Rappe Family Vineyards - Auburn We were on our way to another winery and passed the entrance to Rappe Family Vineyards. We decided to turn around and enter the vineyard after looking at the excellent ratings. We were not disappointed. We came to learn that the winery is fairly new to the area. Clearly it is nice addition to the Auburn area. Their tasting room is set up in a large tent during the winter months and outside next to the vineyard during the summer. The hosts were excellent. For such a young winery they offered excellent wines. It should not be surprising since the founder Tom Rappe has spent his career in the wine industry. Each individual tasting is free with the purchase of a bottle of wine. We had the same nice experience in Napa 25 years ago. We loved our tasting. Absolutely worth a visit.“

“Highly highly recommend this winery. Their tastings were $10 and they had a good variety of wines. The service was excellent. I loved the family business. Lastly, the best part was their farm animals! They have Alpacas, goats, and cows. Loved everything about this place!“

Happy Dayz Vineyard Winery • $$
2338 Mandarin Hill Ln, Penryn - 5.29 miles

“My favorite stop in Placer County! This winery is just right with a mix of being: family owned with a personal touch that make you feel like a part of the family there! It is also the perfect place to take friends and family members because there is so much open seating, where you could look out on the winery as the train goes past or sit in some adirondack chairs playing cards. Additionally, if you are into wine but have not found your spot yet, I recommend doing the Placer County Wine Trail in the area!“

We mostly loved that it was not overly sweet, a perfect balance. To top it off their fall decor was a nice touch! Also, they have different events going on such as live music, we’ll definitely be back to check them out!“

Mt. Vernon Winery Wineries • $$
10850 Mt Vernon Rd, Auburn - 11.15 miles

“Mount Vernon Winery holds a special place in my heart, particularly because it served as the enchanting backdrop for one of my best friend's beautiful weddings. The venue itself is nothing short of amazing, creating a picturesque setting that adds a touch of magic to any celebration.During the wedding, the owner's exceptional hospitality stood out when they went above and beyond by personally assisting me in finding a warm place to prepare a baby bottle for a guest. This level of attentiveness and care left a lasting impression. One of the notable additions to the winery is the newly introduced wine island, a charming space where live music often sets the mood. The serene creek adds a delightful natural touch to the overall scenery, creating a perfect blend of ambiance and entertainment.Of course, the main highlight is the wine itself. Mount Vernon Winery boasts a selection of delicious wines, with two personal recommendations being the Mountain Red and the Girly Man. Each sip is a journey through rich flavors, and the variety offered caters to diverse palates. In summary, Mount Vernon Winery is more than just a winery; it's an experience. From the breathtaking venue to the warm hospitality, live music, and, of course, the delightful wines, it's a place that I wholeheartedly recommend for any celebration or a leisurely day of wine tasting.“

Pescatore Vineyard & Winery Wineries • $$
7055 Ridge Rd, Newcastle - 8.01 miles

“Super cute small winery. Unlike in the big wineries, the owners do really care about the customers and make sure they are happy. The wines are delicious (there were 9 of us, each of us got a bottle or two), and to complement the wines the owner fed us cheese and snacks, including some delicious pesto torta his wife made. Highly recommend!“

Ciotti Cellars Winery •
3285 Crosby Herold Rd, Lincoln - 9.74 miles

“We were looking for a new place to try and Ciotti came up when searching wineries. We drove up and there is plenty of parking. We were greeted right away and told about their wine tasting. We tasted all of the wines on their list and since it was a bit warm we decided on a white wine and we had brought some snacks so headed outside. There is a large outdoor seating area and the day we were there we were treated to some good ole rock n roll. The staff and the owner are very nice and the people there were so friendly. You can bring your dog as many people had their pets with them. They also offer slushies and a small amount of food. The slushies were very tasty. This is one of our new favorite hangouts. Our dog enjoyed meeting other dogs and people. There is also a winery dog.“

Lone Buffalo Vineyards Winery •
7505 Wise Rd, Auburn - 9.56 miles

“My best friend from school and his wife are members of this place, I personally want to disclose that I don't like to have biases, but I liked the experience!!!!!!!! The staff is attentive and wonderful at educating and explaining wine and their process. The decor is lovely, the desert wine and a few others are a joy! Tasting was a bit overcrowded but I don't see it as an inconvenience, rather a sign that if the wine is good, people will come!“

PaZa Estate Winery Wineries • $$
3357 Ayres Holmes Rd, Auburn - 9.87 miles

“This is my favorite winery on the Placer Valley Wine Trail!! I went with a friend and we had the whole place to ourselves! We sat under the trees in Adirondack chairs overlooking the entire winery. It was simply perfect for a tasting! I really enjoyed the wine too and I appreciate learning about the different ways of how they age the wine, which greatly affects the flavor!“

Dono dal Cielo Vineyard Winery • $$
6100 Wise Rd, Newcastle - 9.64 miles

“My husband and I first tasted their Petite Sirah at one of our favorite restaurants. I was absolutely blown away with how excellent this wine was. So much so, that I found the winery, joined the wine club and ordered a case of this wine. I have now enjoyed one each selection of the last shipment and again, so impressed with the quality of wine. I was born and raised on a ranch that had 40 acres of wine grapes and have been enjoying good wines for over 50 years. Dono dal Cielo is the real deal. Fine wines for medium prices. Good people and excellent wine makers.“

Merlo Family Vineyards Winery • $$
815 Sutter St Ste G, Folsom - 8.48 miles

“Great wine from the South Fork of the Trinity River at the southern tip of Trinity County, in the Hyampom Valley. But the tasting room is now on Sutter Street in Folsom! The owner, grower, and wine maker is Ray Merlo, who we have known for years, as happy customers and wine club members. Ray is a perfect gentlemen to all, IMHO, as we've always observed. All the wines are superb, too!“
