“I work for the Sonoma County Family YMCA and we had Canevaris cater our event and I couldn't be more satisfied. Everyone was asking where it was from because the food was so good! The Cesar salad trays were scraped clean. Steven was so genuine and thoughtful. Lou brought the food right on time with everything nicely prepared. Steven called after the event to make sure everything went okay. We will definitely be using Canervaris in the future. Thank you Canevaris team!“

“Moved to Downtown Santa Rosa a year ago. I've made it a point to visit Mac's (almost) weekly. They serve up amazing sandwiches and offer 47 different options on the menu. Incredibly nice staff and you can feel the family owned atmosphere.“

“This place legit makes the best sandwiches I've ever had. Literally all over the world and this is the best sandwich. This is not a weird gen Z exaggeration. The bread, ingredients and how it's prepared is simply as good as a sandwich gets. They do not have nearly as much notoriety as they should. They're also quite quick at it and very nice.Parking: Extremely easy parking“
“The food is ridiculous. I would pay an Uber Eats driver no problem to drive from this place to San Francisco which is nearly 50 miles just to eat one of the Rueben sammiches from this place. There's a lot of history in this place. The dining area is slowly morphing into a sports memorabilia museum. Apparently the owner is a sports fan. LoL. Great people, great food and great sports collection. If you are looking for old school deli it's worth driving a little further or out of the way to come to this place. If you are local and you need milk and bread just wait until you are hungry and you can get it all in one stop here. As well as liquor and mixers. I personally put this in my top 3 all time deli spots. That's really saying a lot seeing as I love deli food and have been to thousands in every state and in many countries around the world. Yes.... It's that good.“

“Had to make a quick run out to Guerneville to drop off a Bulbous Head Knarly Whipstickler to my old pal Anaconda John there at the Hideaway. He hosting a long shot derby there this Easter weekend, and needs that thing to maintain control of the crowd, they can get pretty rambunctious when all they've got on is a speedo. When I saw the Honey Sliced Ham joint I whipped it on in fast! That Honey Baked ham is Amazing, probably the best in the state. ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Really good barbecue restaurant that’s only been open a year and a half. The tri-tip is really good, and the bbq ribs literally fall of the bone.. the man Marvin himself works the front and is an awesome person.Plenty of drinks to choose from, but no dessert options that I saw.My only little complaint was that the ribs don’t come with sauce. It makes them kind of dry.“

“It's my first time here and I already know I'll come back again! I tried the pecan salad which is the best pecan salad I have ever had! It has generous amount of candy pecans and fresh salad. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture! There are lots of sandwich selections. Everything is served in Togo box which I thought is convenient for any leftovers to go! It's in a residential neighborhood with a bar inside. Draft beer is refreshing. You can sit in the bar or plenty of outdoor seatings. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is interesting. Definitely give it a try if you love beer and sandwiches! Oh and salad!!!“

“Bagels are on point. I think maybe one of the best bagels I have found in Northern California to be honest. Now don't get your kishkes caught in a bunch with my next comment but the prices are way too high. I understand you are bringing high quality food and product and I wanted to try so much more and support your business but I cannot bring myself to pay $25 for a Reuben on a bagel. I offer this to you as advice with the understanding that I am not in the restaurant business. I know food is expensive to purchase and I know there are overhead expenses with staff and leasing, however, life is expensive now and there has to be a balance. There has to be a way to source good quality product that will allow prices to come in line and drive more volume. The matzah ball soup eaten at the table next to us looked amazing. As did the open face lox bagel but they split both dishes. Sure maybe they were not hungry or maybe they eat normal portions instead of huge portions like my fat tuchas or maybe they just didn't want to spend the extra dollars. Who knows but I would have ordered a Reuben for $18. I would have ordered a slice of babka for $5-6. Anyway - the food here - at least the bagel and shmear that I had is AMAZING and I only offer this as feedback. I hope to see a line out your door. I want to see you make your grandma proud. You are doing something so right and I will be back and I will splurge a little more. I just need to ease into it.“

“I’m from out of town and wanted to thank caregivers of my sister in Santa Rosa by serving them a platter of sandwiches. I found 4th Street Deli online. Their menu looked outstanding and they got great reviews. And I know why. Jeanie made helpful suggestions and provided excellent service. Next time I’m in town I will be eating here!“
“This is your basic Deli. They have many veggie options which is nice. The food isn't amazing or bad, it's just basic. I mostly go here bc it's very close to my office. My office has ordered catering from them a few times and they always do a great job on their catering service for us. The workers are always friendly and professional. It's always clean in there. They have a small patio that is pleasant enough under the trees, they also put umbrellas up so it's nice to eat out there during the summer.“
“If you like kitschy mom and pop shops, come to this place. My BF and I were hankering for something quick so we opted to split a chicken pesto sandwich. We also wanted some sides so added potato salad. It was an interesting little place, because it looked like it also doubled as a restaurant on the side, deli in the front, and behind the curtains you can choose a few drinks that were alcoholic or nonalcoholic ie Orangina which made me excited. While we waited for our sandwich, staff brought out disches that had amazing baked beans that I was mental noting to try when I came back. All in all, friendly environment and just great place to give out a try.“

“First, I don't know how this place doesn't have some awards for their breakfast sandwiches. No where in Santa Rosa, can you get nearly as much eggs and bacon, then a sandwich here. That one is my favorite, but their are plenty of other sandwich options, as it is definitely a deli. Martha and Mario, two of the nicest people that you could ever meet, are the owners. La Famigila, is my vote for the best breakfast in Santa Rosa.“
“I don’t understand how this place doesn’t have 5 stars. The people who work there are so kind and welcoming, the sandwiches are AMAZING, and they have beer!! It’s 9:30 am and I am already counting down the hours until I get to go get a sandwich. Best in town by far!“
“Love the option to have sandwiches and salads. My favorite sandwich is the #7! It's such a great place to walk in and get a personalized quick salad too. They have so many add on options! Never had a bad experience here! One of my favorite places to get sandwiches in Petaluma!“
“I've been going to this store periodically over the last year. I'm a traveling nurse and I first started coming here because it is close to the hotel where I was staying. I always read Yelp reviews for businesses I patronize just to be safe and find out if there will be potential problems. I read all the reviews for this business and was surprised to read the negative comments. Over time and many subsequent visits I found that the some of the reviews were old and couldn't be relied upon to reflect the current state of the business. And I came to believe that people who wrote those older comments and the more recent ones were likely angry hypercritical types that enjoy trashing a business for whatever personal reasons they might have.My own experiences were consistently positive over the last 12 months and now that I'm leaving to another job location I wanted to do another review to summarize my experiences here. First, this is a convenience store, not unlike 7-11 which sustains itself on liquor and cigarette sales, so if you have a problem with that you probably shouldn't come here. It's never going to score high for "ambiance" and it's not really a family store though it is not unfriendly to families as far as I can tell. This appears to be a family run business and run by what has appeared to me as a hard working family. Second, unlike 7-11 and other chain stores this store has a personality and they seem to care about the appearance of the store and about keeping things stocked and organized properly. The drinks I bought, mostly Fanta Strawberry, Gingerale, and sparkling water were always cold which tells me they regularly stick their refrigerated drinks. Also they keep a really nice variety of drinks including sparkling water, still water, vitamin water, and a pretty wide variety of name brand sodas (both diet and regular). I never bought any alcohol containing products but that stock also appeared to offer a nice set of options. The takeaway here is that this isn't your local, sleazy cheap beer and tobacco stores with unseemly characters hanging out. Third, their deli became my "go to" place for sandwiches. They always have a wide variety of quality deli meats and pre-cooked meals with daily specials too. The sandwiches are far superior to Subway or 7-11. Their meats, nice selection of fresh breads, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. we're always fresh and they will make the sandwich however you like it. I never once had any issues with the quality of their food. They also always have potato salads, chicken salad, breakfast burritos, and more, again, always fresh and tasty. They also have a selection of ice creams, frozen foods, even a small selection of fruits and vegetables.Fourth, the people who work the store actually seem concerned about satisfying their customers. Every time I went here I was treated respectfully and given service immediately. And I mean service with a smile. These folks aren't low wage, negligent employees you sometimes meet in chain convenience stores. These people are old fashioned merchants who understand customer service and take pride in their work. I also observed that they appear to have nice relationships with what I assumed were regular customers. I never saw anyone ignored or mistreated during any of my visits. (of course their prices are higher as in any convenience store but I would expect people to know that).Fifth, they have a small but quite adequate parking lot and it's easy to get right back on the road once you've made your purchases. Easy in, easy out. No hassles. My advice would be to ignore the bad reviews or at least put them in perspective. This is the kind of old fashioned local shops that I wish every neighborhood had. We customers need to support local businesses like this one so they will continue to serve the community and not get replaced by one of those impersonal chain stores. Let me say a sincere thanks to these merchants. They made my stay here in Santa Rosa a better experience. Keep u“

“I only heard about this place from a random recommendation off Facebook for "good, inexpensive salads" or the "best eggplant sandwich". They did not disappoint! I got the hot grilled eggplant sando and the smell was intoxicating, the garlic mayo is dreamy! Those who say they had no flavor I only imagine asked for no special sauce ,no pickled thingsor no melty cheese or maybe they had covid. You don't even need chips (which are often my required supplement for sandwich eating). And dang the people were so nice, and not annoying nice, just real friendly.(no sandwich in photo for obvious reasons...just proof I went)“

“Had to go over to the Gnu's Hog Ranch where Wilber Stimpickit breeds Wildebeest and Warthogs for a club in Texas, and drop off a Wigglypop Dowhopper that he'll be needing come spring when the Wildebeests drop their calves. He was so pleased to get the thing he bought me lunch! Only one place, he says is worth stopping at for a sandwich in Petaluma, and that's Lucchesi's Delicatessen. It's a 5 star joint, the best in Sonoma county, Petaluma for sure. ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Sam is your guy to get the job done right. I was charged with getting lunch for a working group of 55 people and had to wait until the morning of the event to provide Sam with the final 30 or so orders. I had reached out to him well in advance, and gave him the initial half of the order several days before the day of the lunch. He was patient, kind, and made sure he had all the necessary details to get the order done right. When the working group finally gathered in person the morning of the lunch, I got an additional 30 orders to send to Sam. Not only did he finish the entire order less than 2 hours later, but he ended up individualizing everyone's order and made special effort for the Vegan and Vegetarian requests. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. Sam will make your big order a breeze for you, and work hard to get the order completed on time and in an orderly fashion. He's the best in the biz! - Jonathan E.“
