“We just tried this Bake & Che Vietnamese dessert place in Rosemead on Rosemead Blvd and River Ave. It's next to the Da Vien Coffee. This is a new structure, and the ambiance was comfortable with modern decor. We ordered G1 The Sampler (5 pcs, $7), Avocado Che ($8), and C1 House Special ($7). The five cakes sampler included palm sugar, pandan layers, mung bean, cassava, and taro. I especially like the taro and mung bean cakes, but I'm not a fan of the pandan because it has durian inside. Besides the cakes, I liked their drinks even more! The Avocado Che drink was so delicious and so fresh. It had a lot of ingredients inside. My hubby liked the House Special Che Dac Biet (C1) drink so much, but it had durian inside, so I did not drink it. We forgot to order their signature flan cheesecake, and we will definitely go back to try it next time. The service was friendly and speedy.“

“I love supporting small businesses. It is the spot when I crave for cheese cake or need pick it up for potlucks and parties. I love the Japanese Iced cheesecake . It's light, not too sweet Percy texture and so delicious. They have the original , matcha , strawberry and Oreo flavors. You can either one flavor or a set of all 4.
The taro snowflakes is a must try, creamy taro sponge cake made with real taro.
This shop is clean, cutesy and is family owned and I was helped by the owner's mom, she's super nice lady, the owner makes all the cakes.
They take cash, Venmo and Zelle as payment options.“

“I went in on Tuesday, the new owners were in back of me. I was telling the cashier how disappointed my daughter was, we came in on monday and it was closed. Well the new owners, gave me a couple cookies for free. That was so awesome of them. My daughter was so happy and she said" Thank you so much!"“

“Cute dessert spot that feels reminiscent of classic HK/TW dessert shops. We came on a Saturday night and were seated right away—no wait. It’s largely a self-service experience (ordering straight from the menu and servers are basically just runners).
Prices are a little on the high side, but kudos to them for delivering dishes that actually look like the photos. Therefore, there are plenty of Instagram-worthy items for those looking for that! Good experience, but not necessarily a repeatable one.
(For taste, I do recommend the mango/grape dessert - though that’s not as unique as the other items).“

“🌟 Oakobing – Pasadena, CA
If you’re craving a sweet escape, Oakobing delivers a frosty dream in every spoonful. I tried the black sesame and strawberry shaved ice—each one a cloud of flavor, delicately layered with mochi and a drizzle of condensed milk. The texture? Feather-light and refreshingly crisp. Seating’s limited, so grab your treat and head to the cozy outdoor nook out back. Pro tip: skip the garage and snag metered parking nearby. A must-visit for Korean dessert lovers looking to chill in style.“

“Really good if you’re into guilt free desserts that aren’t overly sweet! I tried the mango coconut jelly and the mango pomelo sago and both were a mild sweetness that was not overwhelming making it easy to enjoy the entire dessert from start to finish. And you get a cute jar to keep and reuse so that’s a plus!“

“I was impressed how one girl delivered exceptional service on such a busy Sunday. Very swiftly yet calm and helpful to indecisive customers. I had the dulce de leche first and it was amazing and the freddo expresso transported me back to Greece. Not everone gets it on point. I had to go back for more after my lunch and I got a little creative and created my own and was glad to see that someone else was there to assist the young girl out.“

“Honestly this cafe 86 is my favorite. The decor is top notch. They have some things that are like, if you know you know. I'd have some of these things in my man cave if I could.
The service was kind and friendly too. Julie was really warm and welcoming. It's always a plus when you get great service with great food.
My favorite thing here is the ube monster. When my sweet tooth hits this is what I want. The pastries are also good. Those aren't too sweet.
Definitely coming back here as a repeat customer. I suggest you check this place out.
Parking is easy as well in the plaza so you don't got to worry about that.“

“I saw this newly opened shop that’s next to Ai Wei Ju. After finished our meal at Ai Wei Ju, we hopped over to Coconut Jelly King in Alhambra for dessert, and I must say it was a delightful experience. This charming little spot offers a wide range of refreshing beverages and tasty treats, with a special focus on coconut jelly-based creations.Firstly, the atmosphere at Coconut Jelly King is relaxed and inviting. The interior is bright and clean, adorned with Tiffany blue-themed decorations that immediately transport you to a classy cafe. The staff members were friendly and attentive, ready to assist with any questions and recommendations. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the coconut jelly. The coconut jelly-based drinks at Coconut Jelly King are simply fantastic. I tried their signature coconut jelly smoothie, and it was a perfect blend of creamy coconut goodness and a hint of sweetness. The coconut jelly itself was wonderfully tender and added a delightful texture to the drink. It was clear that they use high-quality ingredients, as the flavors were rich and authentic. In addition to their excellent coconut jelly smoothies, Coconut Jelly King also offers a variety of other flavored jellies. We had their fresh coconut jelly which came in the whole coconut. We loved the texture. They also offer other flavors as well, there is something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed their red bean coconut jelly which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. To complement their beverages, Coconut Jelly King also serves a selection of delectable snacks and desserts. I couldn't resist trying their egg waffles and it was a true delight. Chewy , smooth, and crunchy with the natural flavors of coconut, it was a perfect ending to my visit. The prices at Coconut Jelly King are reasonable, considering the quality and freshness of the ingredients used. They also offer generous portion sizes, ensuring that you get great value for your money. The menu is diverse enough to cater to various preferences, and the ability to customize your drink according to your liking is an added bonus.Overall, my experience at Coconut Jelly King was fantastic. The combination of great ambiance, friendly service, and exceptional coconut jelly-based drinks made it a memorable visit. Whether you're a coconut lover or simply looking to try something new and refreshing, I highly recommend stopping by Coconut Jelly King in Alhambra. It's a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its unique and delicious offerings.“

“It's too small to dance more northern to dance and it's a bar type but it's good to hang out for a while. I went with my husband and I had a good time. We celebrated 28 years of marriage. But I realized that he doesn't like to be well. A lot of trouble 🍺🍺🍺🥂🍷🥃 but there is a little fun.“
“It’s not too often that I stop at a Michoacana store, but this location somehow always manages to serve everything with a positive and enthusiastic attitude everytime I stop by to buy something! Most stores usually have little to not much variety, but this location always has something in store for everyone! It has flavors for ice cream that other locations don’t seem to have. They always try to introduce something new and refreshing that anyone can and will enjoy! Whenever I have entered this store, they always have fresh corn for an esquite or fresh fruit for hot summer days. If you’re looking for something fresh and tasty to eat, while being served by enthusiastic employees, I HIGHLY recommend visiting this store! It’s a must!!“
“Everything is súper good!!!! 😋“
“I happened to be driving by and saw this shop. I decided to try it out and pick up some doughnuts for the guys at the office. Not only were the doughnuts fresh, the service was great! The women were very patient, fast and friendly. I am glad I found this shop. Most doughnut shops are very pushy and make you feel rushed. Excellent customer service. I will definitely be coming back!!“
“This place was super clean. The staff were really nice. They were quick with my order. The food looked and taste so good one of my favorite spots now! Only odd thing is that on Google Maps the name is Mr. Steve donuts but in person it’s JNJ donuts so not sure what that’s about but overall it’s a great place! I got there glazed, donut twist, and they’re hot dog, which were both super good and packed with flavor!“
“Miss you, Donut Town! Since we moved to Plymouth Village we don’t get to enjoy the most impressive seasonal themed Donuts in the world!“

“Based on the Esquites this Michoacana rates 4 stars.
The corn is the right kind and they prepare it very well but they didn’t put lime juice in my esquites which isn’t very good. Maybe they forgot.
Service is very good.
Plenty of parking in the lot.“

“Review is for food only. Not store or service.
Heard good things about Beard Papas snackies .
Since I happened to be in Old Town Pasadena, and discovered there was one. It's not on the main strip so I almost missed it.
Food:
Cream puff (original) - this was the item that I wanted to try out since it's their main seller. I expected the puff to be softer with a crunchy outer shell but it was harder than I expected. It was delicious though. The cream is slightly sweet which I like. I hate super sweet cream.
Honey butter puff - the second item I tried. Not a bad combo, but original still is better.
There are more flavors but I wanted to try the puffs as they are and not too overloaded with macha, chocolate, etc.. flavors.
Repeat: only for the original puff with the vanilla filling (original filling). It is pricey but once in a while is ok.“

“I finally tried the Ube Halo-Halo from Baked Dessert Bar in West Covina and it was honestly really good. Visually, it stands out with vibrant colors and a clean presentation that makes it super photo-worthy. The ube flavor is rich and creamy without being overly sweet, which I appreciated. It has that deep nutty taste that still lets the other ingredients shine.
The toppings were generous. There was leche flan, sweet beans, jelly, and nata layered with finely shaved ice and a splash of evaporated milk. The textures were exactly what you want in a halo-halo. You get creamy, chewy, icy, and a little crunch all in one bite.
If I had to point out one thing, I do wish the ice stayed colder a bit longer, but it did not take away from the overall experience. If you like ube, this one definitely delivers. If you are new to halo-halo, it is an easy and tasty intro.“
