I popped up around 9pm with my son for a late dinner. They did not disappoint. The chicken tikka masala was rich, creamy and flavorful. The rice was fluffy and soft to match the wonderful dish. And I rounded it out with some buttered naan. Great place that I would recommend to you for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family. They even mentioned that on Fridays and Saturdays they stay open until 11pm.

India Gate Restaurant offers a lunch buffet with plenty of variety and fresh garlic naan included. The food is delicious, with the best butter chicken available. The buffet dishes are always warm and tasty, including Saag, Butter Chicken, garlic naan, goat curry, and lamb. The garlic naan is light and thin with huge flavor. The lunch buffet also features tandoori chicken, fish pakora, and saag paneer, with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The chai is especially loved. The hospitality is wonderful, with staff providing warm welcomes and excellent customer service. Even when short staffed, they handle the lunch rush well. The quality of the food has remained delicious before and after the rebranding. Located in downtown Sacramento near capitol avenue, this restaurant has new return customers.
