“Followed the previous owners/chefs of Little Sicily over to Altura to continue to enjoy their amazingly delicious Sicilian food whenever we come into town. It has become one of my favorite traditions! Altura has a relaxed vibe with a beautiful ambience - both indoors and outdoors. The staff is friendly and the service is awesome. We are filled with joy whenever we get the chance to enjoy a tasty meal there - whether it's the meatballs, the homemade pasta, or any dish with my favorite marinara sauce, you can never go wrong! And the prices are reasonable too! Don't sleep in this place - you won't regret it.“

“I thought this was Alvarado Street Brewery.I guess they just call it Alvarado on Main, but it is the same place. Dew Drops IPA stopped me dead in my tracks with its superb Dank Hoppy Dispensary taste ( if you know what I mean) Just what my taste buds have been craving. The close second is the Single Cone ( you can also get a flight and choose as many beers that you would like to sample ) Just thought I’d bust out with those first two 5 star ratings about their beer. We did also order food, which was pretty good as well. The grilled artichoke tacos were awesome, the Al Pastor tacos were also a close second and we shared the Caesar Salad as an appetizer. Lots of parking in the back; we’ve never been to Salinas before, but this area of Old Town looked like it would be cool to walk around. We were just passing through for the day so we didn’t get to explore. Go for the brew but especially the “Dew”! Cheers!“

“Swung by here to break up a 4 hour drive between SLO and SF, this was a perfect halfway spot to stop and get a bite to eat and enjoy the scenery and park across the street. Friendly staff greeted us when we walked in. The menu has plenty of options, so we ordered a few items. We ordered a calamari sandwich, jalapeno burger, fries, and fried zucchini. The outdoor seating area next to the lagoon is great, really pretty and calming to relax at after being on the road for 2 hours. Dog friendly too, so that was a big plus.
The food came out pretty quickly. Good size on all of the food, more than enough to eat for the two of us and our toddler. My calamari sandwich was delicious, perfectly fried and not greasy. The sourdough bread was a really nice choice to balance out all of calamari, tartar sauce and veggies. My wife's burger was loaded up with all of the fixing and it was a nice and juicy patty. It was quite good with the heat from the jalapenos. Crinkle cut fries were a fun surprise, cooked perfectly and not greasy. The fried zucchini were awesome, larger than anticipated and really juicy. Overall a great pitstop on a long drive, though I would certainly go out of my way a bit to eat here again!
Kid-friendliness: Great open patio area for kids to explore“
