About ADDISON

Addison offers a memorable dining experience with outstanding service that surpasses expectations. The staff is attentive and well-coordinated, ensuring a smooth and synchronized meal. The menu features a mix of Californian, Japanese, Thai, and Latin American flavors, with highlights such as caviar add-ons, lamb, and kinmedai fish. The restaurant pays close attention to detail, evident in its beautiful presentation and thoughtful touches like heated pillows on a chilly evening. The ambiance is elegant, overlooking a golf course, with a playlist that includes Radiohead and the Gorillaz, creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. The large tables are designed to accommodate all the food comfortably, and the waiters work together seamlessly, almost like synchronized swimming. While some dishes may not stand out, the overall experience remains impressive and well worth the price. Addison is an ideal place for special occasions. Customers note that dining when service begins can make the experience less crowded, though some may find parking and navigation challenging. The restaurant is known for its creative, eclectic dishes, and the A5 wagyu upgrade is highly recommended. Despite being on the higher end of the price range, it is considered a must-visit spot in Southern California.

Still thinking about our dinner at Addison—yep, the Michelin 3-star tucked inside Fairmont San Diego. Total bucket list moment! The uni chawanmushi and caviar rice? Unreal. Vibe was cozy-luxe, service was flawless. Took 4 hours and I’d do it all over again. ✨🍽️💛

The service was excellent. That said, the food was very overpriced and marginal. $6000 for 6 people. The wagyu beef one of us ordered was $750 for about 3 square inches of meat, if that. Add truffes and the basic wine service for 3 of us and 3 cocktails, and it comes to 6 grand. Wow. I would have been much happier at a nice steakhouse with a ribeye, potato and glass of wine. Shaun stands out as the most extraordinary restaurant manager I've ever had the pleasure of encountering. His service wasn't just outstanding—it was genuinely awe-inspiring. As a solo diner, Shaun made an extra effort to ensure I felt incredibly welcomed. His dedication to going above and beyond was evident in his eagerness to share fascinating insights about the kitchen, catering perfectly to my enthusiasm as a food aficionado. While the cuisine at Addison was nothing short...read full review
