City Tacos is a popular restaurant known for its delicious tacos, featuring a menu with ample vegan and vegetarian options that cater to dietary restrictions such as paleo, vegan, and dairy-free. A loyal customer has tried many tacos and highly recommends the Portobello, Lamb, Shrimp, Chorizo, and Poblano tacos, calling them some of the best in San Diego, possibly the world. The Asada taco is considered basic but is still enjoyed by many.
Customers frequently return, often finding it hard to choose just one taco because they are all absolutely delicious. Options like the Mexicali, with cheese and carne asada, and the Cameroon, featuring huge shrimp, stand out for their flavor. The handmade tortillas are spectacular, and the quality has improved over the years. The tacos are affordable, allowing diners to enjoy 4 to 5 for under $20 and leave completely satisfied. The casual vibe focuses on the tacos, and even the veggie tacos have surprised meat lovers with their delightful taste. The Taco of the Month adds an exciting twist, showcasing creative limited-time offerings. The self-serve salsa bar keeps the experience fun and engaging, while the service staff is amazing and attentive.
