12 years of waiting for a Jimmy John’s to breach the outer walls of San Diego county, did not exactly expect this one. Same great sandwiches, thankfully! Service was ok. I showed up during a big lunch rush and they were backed up. The real flaw here is the location. Building is small, like any downtown. This is a no frills to go only Jimmy John's location. It shares an extremely small space with Dunkin' Donuts. The person who helped me was friendly and guided me through their rewards process. Me being the big eater, I went right for the money shot ordering the J.J. Gargantuan. It's the biggest sandwich on the menu! Jimmy John's is a great sandwich shop in the Midwest. It started in Illinois. Since I have lived in San Diego, this is the first shop that has opened. Usually, you would have to drive atleast two hours away. The sandwiches are the same here as any Jimmy John's I have been to in the Midwest. The sandwiches are great! The fresh bread and great ingredients make for a very satisfying sandwich. My favorite: #4 Turkey with cheese and extra mayo Try them with the Jimmy peppers!
