“What a hidden gem! Definitely regret not having visited sooner. As the name mingei implies, the restaurant is a carefully curated international exhibit of food and the cultures that celebrate it in their own unique ways. The staff are docents for your culinary adventure and the chefs are masters of their craft. Some of my best bites in San diego in the past couple years, came from Artifact and I cannot wait to go back with more uninitiated.“

“We absolutely loved our dinner at Monzu in the Gaslamp! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff struck the perfect balance of being friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We started with the tartare di tonno, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful—an excellent beginning to the meal. The housemade focaccia deserves a special mention: airy, perfectly seasoned, and quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. For the main course, I enjoyed the bucatini all’amatriciana. The pasta was clearly house-made, cooked to perfection, and the sauce had that authentic depth of flavor that only true Southern Italian cooking delivers. We finished with an affogato, which was the ideal ending—simple, rich, and satisfying. Monzu offers authentic Southern Italian fare with genuine hospitality, and everything we tried reflected both freshness and craftsmanship. I would 100% return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience in San Diego.“

“We stayed near this location for a week. Due to allergies it was a chore to find and enjoy meals not to mention affordably UNTIL WE FOUND THESE PEOPLE❤️ We returned for more great service, incredible food and drinks, were accommodate for allergies swiftly and with a smile and even enjoyed our experience in the dining areas! Fun 80's tunes, Great location, clean, DELICIOUS and even AFFORDABLE!“

“I had the mango salad with chicken. It had a wide variety of lettuces giving it nice texture and flavor. We had a side of the consistently tasty curried couscous. The atmosphere with its turf and play area was nice for families, especially those with young children and those like us with our Collie and Golden Retriever in tow. The service was efficient but not intrusive. We opted to eat outside there.“

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“I had a chicken bowl here and it was truly amazing. The service was great as well. This Luna Grill has some of the freshest, highest-quality meat I’ve had. Out of all the grills, it’s my favorite. I definitely recommend it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, it’s perfect for lunch, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.“

“Black Radish - Opened the door and walked into an Elegant yet casual interior. The vibe was warm and the staff very kind, accommodating, and friendly. The menu is unique, not the typical items that appear on almost all restaurant menus. First off were the Biscuits. Excellent texture, wonderful flavor and served with a soft herbed butter. Absolutely Amazing. Next up the Coconut soup, Delicious with a hint of spice from thinly sliced Serrano peppers on top and wow! Pure Yum! Following up with the Pappardelle with squash. This dish was perfection. The pasta noodles were cooked perfectly. The flavor of the pasta noodles was delicious and with the sauce and squash it was unbelievably delicious. One of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. The food is amazing and full of delicious flavors. High quality ingredients expertly prepared.
2 criticisms however;
* The portions are ridiculously small with a steep price tag
* The bathroom is part of the main dining room so when one walks into the bathroom those sitting at certain tables can view the interior of the bathroom - I find this distasteful.“

“The whole team at Boujiemana is worth writing about and thanking. For a relatively bigger venue, everyone is super friendly, accommodating, and provide top notch service. The food is exquisite in every way. We always enjoy the pita bread and hummus, of course, and the rest of our appetizers, small plates and entrees were excellent. We are thankful for Jenna's personal touch in taking care of us and our new guests. Buojiemana, we are converts and will be back!“

“Great meal had by all 7 of us. We were all more than happy with our meal and drinks. This place offers a great variety of choices making it hard to chose. The waiters and staff are very pleasant also. This was our second time there but it won’t be our last.“

“WOW!! If I could give more stars I would. Walked in at 6pm and was seated right away! The gyoza came out within 5 minutes and the entrees within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was absolutely mouth watering across the board!!! We got the pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles roasted pork. The lavender milk tea was an absolute delight and the server was so kind and attentive. Definitely our new favorite Thai spot :)“

“Believe them when they say they offer large portions! Every salad option and specialty plate is easily shareable and very fresh and delicious. We dined in and took home considerably more than ate during our visit. Looking forward to trying other menu items and having leftovers for days!“
