White Rice Reviews
The ube pandesal is 🌬👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 so freaking good. Highly recommend it! I ordered the loganisa dish and it was a good sized portion. The bowl of food was prepared very neatly, and you can tell the cooks actually take their time cooking and prepping this food for you. Check them out if you can!

White Rice in Normal Heights offers a mix of Filipino dishes with a lively and casual atmosphere. Visitors enjoy specialties like Longanisa bowl, Chicken Adobo, Veggie Lumpia, Mushroom & Tofu bowl, and Ube Milk Tea, often highlighting the vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. The restaurant is known for its good vibe, friendly service, and affordable prices, making it a popular spot for those craving Filipino comfort food without traveling to National City. Many appreciate the crispy Shanghai lumpia and the flavorful sisig, which is often enjoyed with rice and a splash of calamansi juice and vinegar. The atmosphere is lively, with a playlist that adds to the fun experience.
However, some recent visits have seen a decline in food quality and menu availability. Customers mention that the rice can be undercooked and the dishes sometimes lack flavor or moisture. At times, several menu items are unavailable, leaving limited options like chicken, longanisa, and spaghetti. There are concerns about consistency and quality, with some dishes needing more seasoning and flavor enhancements, especially the garlic rice and pork sisig. Despite these issues, White Rice remains a favorite for its authentic Filipino flavors, good portions, and welcoming environment, making it a go-to spot for those looking for a taste of home or a fun dining experience.
