About Yokohama Yakitori Koubou

Yokohama Yakitori Koubou is a lively spot known for its grilled skewers. The atmosphere is friendly, and the service can vary, with some staff providing excellent service and others disappointing. The gyoza is highly recommended for being juicy and flavorful, while the skewers, though a bit small for the price, offer a variety of options like chicken and green onion, pork belly, kalbi beef, and unique combinations like chicken with salmon and corn, and chicken with California (krab, avocado, and kewpie mayo). The pork belly, chicken thigh with negi, boneless wing, and short ribs are particularly popular. The restaurant also offers a new special menu and skewers every week, with each kushiyaki being juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Customers can enjoy Asahi super dry draft beer and homemade lemon sours, as well as delectable desserts like deep-fried cheesecake. Despite a mixed experience with service, the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere make Yokohama Yakitori Koubou a place worth returning to.

The food is amazing specially the beef bowl and short ribs, but the service is disastrous. Imagining asking for the check already from 2 waiters still waiting almost 15 minutes and everyone is walking around and nobody is giving your dam check and you have to stand up and go for begging the check. They shouldn’t expect any tip for that service.
When I miss those darn skewers from japan so much this is the first place that EVER comes to mind to make me feel like I'm visiting Yokohama again. Always quality meats and peak Chu-hi drinks Shikuwasa is the tart kick go to with Tsukune or Kushikatsu.
Always appreciate the vibes here.

just can't miss.
Everything was perfect. Food is real Japanese. Service good. Ambience is good. Real izakaya. But do make reservation. It’s critical.
