Golden Sardine Reviews
My partner and I stopped in while visiting for the weekend and had a wonderful time. The space is charming, with two floors, outdoor seating, and a cozy atmosphere that reminded us of a wine bar you’d find in Portugal.
The wine list had a great range of prices, and we enjoyed both the whites and reds we tried. The tinned anchovies and the jamón and soppressata were also delicious and reasonably priced. The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. We’d...read full review

Golden Sardine is a charming wine bar in North Beach with two floors, outdoor seating, and a cozy atmosphere that reminds guests of a wine bar in Portugal. The space includes an upstairs area and a sidewalk patio, both perfect for sipping and chatting or going on dates. The wine list has a great range of prices, with enjoyable whites and reds, and the pet nat is fantastic. Small bites include tinned anchovies, jamón and soppressata, cheese, and sardines served with some tasty pickles and bread. The potato salad is called the best in the world. The bartenders and staff are friendly, welcoming, attentive, and happy to help, and they will recommend alternatives if something on the menu is sub par. Some guests find the ordering process, rickety chairs, noise, and an intense Saturday environment less ideal, but the overall experience is still a solid addition to the area and one of the best wine bars in SF for small bites and trendy wines.
