Halu Restaurant

Not sure if they'll ever open again, but hope that they do! Halu was our perfect go-to dinner date for my partner and I. We loved the perfectly chewy and bouncy ramen, as well as their skewers, especially the vegetable ones! No one has ever done a mushroom skewer like Halu has. One of my fave Japanese places. Amazing ramen and lots of smaller Japanese delicacies. The kids use their grandpartents' recipes. I so hope and pray that they don't go out of business. This is a rare jewel of a place. While they - and the rest of us - hunker down during Covid, I'm wondering why they don't do pickup or work with the Doordashes of the world to do delivery. If anyone hears that their back open, please drop a note.

So good! You really can't go wrong with any of their skewers. Some of my favorites were the wasabi beef, braised beef tendon, beef tongue, and chicken hearts. All the beef items were so flavorful and tender. The calamari was also pretty tasty. The place is pretty small, so waitlist on Yelp ahead of time!
