“I grew up in this area 68 years ago and now live out of State. My family has a nearby home. While visiting, we stumbled on the Heights and they are the bomb! 5 stars hands down! They have excellent sandwiches among other great dishes. The sandwich rolls are the most delicious crispy French bread you ever had! They don't skimp on the sandwich contents no matter which one you choose. Oscar provides outstanding counter service and even let's me change out a few ingredients at no additional charge! Ignore any line, this place is worth any wait.
I would post my sandwich but it was so good I already finished it.“

“Such a fun hidden gem! Jeff’s Table is tucked into the back of a liquor store in Highland Park, and the sandwich absolutely lived up to the hype. I got the Jubano, their take on a Cuban, and it was packed with smoked pork, pastrami, cheese, pickles, mustard and aioli. Everything was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth seeking out!“

“Randomly, I went here for a quick bite to eat. I was not disappointed. Lily makes the best sandwich I have had in a long time. The huge tuna and chicken salad sandwiches were amazing. Her prices are super reasonable for the amount of foods she’s serving up. I’m definitely coming back here again.“

“The human touch of a bowl of noodles⋯When I used to work at a newspaper in Mengcheng City, I would go to this Shanghai aunt’s noodle shop with other reporters to dine ?She remembered our preferences and faces after several visits. We didn’t meet for a while after leaving the job. One day we met by chance on the road, and my aunt still remembered me!After chatting for a while and saying goodbye, she said that she wanted to treat her to a meal next time she went to a restaurant. I didn't take it to heart. Until a few days ago, I drove by and wanted to eat their bowl of noodles. When I walked in, she was talking on the phone to take orders. When she saw my eyes widened, she asked me to sit down. Not long after, my dry noodles were served. Plus a red oil snack as a treat.This bowl of noodles is quite special. It is neither fried noodles nor sesame noodles, but fried sesame noodles mixed with two sauces. The menu is called "Strange Flavor Noodles". The taste is quite rich. When eating, you should mix it with raw cucumber. The noodles, sauce and refreshing cucumber naturally form a delicious balance that makes you want to take another bite.Maybe it's so strange. After eating it for the first time, I ordered this bowl of noodles from the store every time I came back. Several times when I walked into the store, my aunt yelled at the kitchen, knowing that this was what I ordered.While eating noodles, we talked about many things, including the decline of the newspaper office, and many people left! There are all new faces now, and the lively scenes before are no longer there. I smiled and said, many old employees should come back to see you, right? She laughed and said that it was true. Every once in a while, old faces come to reminisce, including me who showed up today.When she was leaving after the meal, she waved her hand and said don't give me any money. I said give me a tip! I just left the money on the table and emphasized that I would still come back. Not only was this bowl of noodles the most important thing, the human touch was priceless.“

“Wow. It looks like any restaurant in Dtla but it’s Genuinely large portions for a fair price and extremely high quality ingredients. I am extremely satisfied with what I got. Oyster and shrimp and a three piece catfish.

“We recently ordered from Brooklyn Square Pizza in Pasadena, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The pizza arrived fresh, hot, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The square slices were perfectly baked with a crisp, flavorful crust and just the right balance of sauce and cheese.
We also ordered two of their hot sandwiches, and they were a big hit—packed with flavor, generously portioned, and just as fresh and satisfying as the pizza.
You can really taste the classic New York–style influence, and the portions were generous—great for sharing. Everything was well packaged and arrived on time, which made ordering easy and stress‑free.

“This place is great! Food truck in front is tasty and consistent. Service is super friendly, place is damn clean and if you’re regular there they definitely treat you like family. I’d give more stars if i could, this place is solid and priced fair. Especially considering the area it’s in. “So, I’ve loved honey baked ham my entire life. The food has always been top notch. I just have one suggestion…….. They had a prepaid line, and everyone else had to wait in the same line. Now the people that preordered but didn’t prepay have to get held up by the people that are trying to figure out what they want. At least open one preorder line to help move things along a little faster. Thank you.“
