“Been meaning to post this review for 13 years. I went to college in Pasadena and life was expensive in LA. I worked multiple night and day shifts sometimes to make rent - Bhanus was always there and always fed me when I was hungry, always with the most delicious plates and always affordable. Even my mother came to eat there, she was notoriously picky about Indian restaurants in USA - Bhanus had the full seal of approval.

My favorite memories of SoCal were at Bhanus. I went back to LA recently on a business trip by coincidence. I drove all the way up from Irvine during a work conference just to eat there again after 10 years.

It was even better than I remember. If you haven't eaten there, you are missing out. Much love to the staff who took care of me in a hard times, with food like at home :)

“I recently dined at Cardamom Indian Cuisine, and it was fantastic! The ambiance was warm and inviting. I started with crispy samosas, followed by the rich chicken tikka masala, paired perfectly with freshly baked naan. The service was attentive and friendly. For dessert, the mango lassi and gulab jamun were delightful. Overall, Cardamom offers a wonderful dining experience with delicious food. Highly recommend!“

“Wow. This place is a hidden gem, but easy to find with plenty of parking. They had a great atmosphere with welcoming vibes. Very clean inside and out, restrooms were spotless. Great place to take the family or just to grab a bite with some friends. Decorated nicely with taste. Service was fantastic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Their food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Words cannot describe their uniquely creative flavors so do yourself a favor and find out for yourselves, you will not be disappointed. From their tacos and sides to their full rotisserie chicken options, it's ALL delicious. I will definitely be going back, I'm hooked. Bravo to the founders/owners. See you all again soon.“

“Wow! This is such an amazing and unique concept! I love the frankies selection from the menu. I tried Chicken Tikka Masala Frankie and Crispy Frisch Frankie and I’m satisfied! The frankies are made from naan which was freshly baked and the fish and chicken were nicely cooked and overall it was amazing! Reasonable pricing for the size of the food. Amazing service from the business and highly recommended to try if your looking for something new!“

“Been here twice. Both times had pretty good food. Not a vegetarian but they have several choices that were really good. Great price for what you get. You can definitely be in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. Service was excellent bith times. I think the chicken masala has been the best thing I've had. Chicken samosa was pretty good as well.“

“First time trying Indian food and I love it. The curry I got is so full of flavor and the garlic naan on its own was so delicious and filling as well as the rice. But when you add everything together it just completely makes your day. Seriously. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who hasn't had Indian food before. As a sidenote there is some spiciness in the curry but nothing I couldn't handle. If you can't handle spicy food though then definitely make sure the curry doesn't have any before ordering, that's all.“

“I am a vegan on Covid lockdown and was craving some kofta for delivery, but all the local Indian restaurants make it with paneer. Finding this restaurant with a vegan menu that delivers was a treasure. Most Indian food is too spicy for me, but here I was able to choose the level of heat from mild, medium or spicy. Other Indian restaurants interpret “mild” as no seasoning at all but my Kofta, Desi Chole, Samosa and Baingan Bhuna were perfectly seasoned to my taste, a wonderful blend of dish individualized curry spices with just enough heat to slightly warm without harm. Also, it was not greasy at all, unlike the local places where the veggies are swimming in oil. I wish the rice dishes were made with brown basmati rice but plain brown rice can be ordered as a side, as it I didn’t have a lot of it cooked in the freezer already. The prices seem a little high for me, so I can’t afford to eat here very often, but will definitely come back as the perfect place to celebrate special occasions once I’m well.“

“Had wonderful dinner at tulsi tonight. I highly recommend their Lilva kachori, tulsi special dhosa, and masala chaas. My daughter really liked their paneer Frankie and rose lassi Over all, amazing service and very tasty food.“

I visit Homage for gifts and treats then the record shop and goldbug nextdoor before I have a spectacular dinner here. Love this restaurant and the service.
