“The sandwich is just perfect! The Italian sandwich is a must try!I wish it came with a pickle without having to pay an extra $1 for it. The sandwich is pretty pricey to come without any pickles.Black sesame dessert was also good but it would have been so much better if it was warm or fresh. Very hard to cut through.“
“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“
“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“
“Went here with a business associate for a super late lunch and was surprised at the options. We were both starving but had a long drive back home, so wanted something filling but still light enough to not cause food coma. The customizable options made it easy to order. Both of us split a bowl and mushrooms tacos on gluten free tortillas. They splits -plated our food so that was really nice that we did not have to.The Tacos had amazing flavors, we asked to add pickled onions to additional tang. It was great. The bowl with tofu and brown rice, while good could use a little bit more flavoring. We got the dressing on the side that added some depth, but I feel something else can be added to the bowl to up the umami flavors.Overall a good choice. Pricing was a bit on th higher side , unfortunately, in-line with most places these days.Vegetarian options: Very customizable options.“
“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“
“Authentic Chinese food specializing in noodles. Beef and pork on the limited menu, no chicken.House special fried noodles with pork was excellent. Also had pork meatballs and cilantro pork dumplings. All excellent and a nice proportion.Only 6 tables, luckily 1 available when we arrived at 1:20 pm. We will come back.“
“This place is like a wayyyyy better Panera with delicious sandwiches and salads. Also a lot of veggie options and customization in the app. This will become a fairly regular place for us after recent visits. The tofu banh mi is awesome and the salads have so much great tasting and healthy stuff in them. The Japanese chili dressing should be bottled! Definitely try this spot out.“
“Fave spot in LA and order here at least 2-3x a week. Best, most creamiest hummus I’ve had in my life. Rice is cooked to perfection every time. Both their salads are delicious and refreshing, Tabouleh Oaxaca Salad is a must try. Taco plate with chicken and cauliflower is my go-to. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are affordable/reasonable and portions are perfect. Owners are super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of care and passion into their food.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly.Parking: Has its own parking lot. About 7 spaces.“
“We had a fantastic experience here, as well as delicious food. I love love their house made Burmese style tofu. But honestly everything we had was great! tea leaf salad, garlic noodle, soft tofu noodles, vermicelli, samusa, and coconut gel desert; top notch. The owners were so lovely and made my birthday celebration feel so special. And their recommendations & catering to our strict vegetarian options were really thoughtful. Thank you!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian/vegan offerings but owner will adjust to make most all dishes vegetarian upon request“
“Nice vibes, convenient location with easy parking, beautiful decor. Service was lacking, but understand there is a labor shortage right now, perhaps that's to blame here. Bodega sando was perfection! Pastries were alright...most looked better than they tasted. I'd say they were good but not great.“
“This is one of my favorite pizza places now. The photo gallery in their website totally does the pizza justice. It is as good as it photographs! I never had Detroit-style pizza. I don't take part in the Great Pizza Debate with regional styles vying for Best Pizza Ever. Pizza is either good or it's average. The flavors and textures between cheese, crust and sauce are either balanced and each component delicious, or the magic just doesn't happen. Whenever I try thick, rectangular pizza slices I'm always disappointed in either sauce, cheese, or crust. I always hoped that pizza would taste like these slices. This pizza is the paradigm of what a thick square slice of pizza should be-- a sauce that is deliciously balanced between sweet, tangy, and savory-- the perfect intermediary between cheese and carbs. Speaking of carbs, a nice thick crust, just doughy enough to feel your teeth sink into, but with the edges perfectly carmelized to support the slice as it makes its way to your pizza pie-hole. The cheese was-- well, cheese, but cheese that goes all the way to the edge of the crust, caramelized to a deep golden brown against the pie pan. On this maiden visit, we tried both the Margherita and the Biggio. The Biggio is their version of a meat lover's pizza-- pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon. The ham and bacon, however, lent a smoky flavor -- almost too barbecue-ish -- for a non-bbq pizza. I know this is Detroit pizza but it was almost a little too un-Italian to us. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was crave-worthy. The cheese, sauce, and crust converged into a balance of flavor -- sweet, savory, and tangy, as well as texture -- doughy, crispy, the cheesy stretchiness, the caramelized edges.... I thought this slice was pizza, pure and simple, delicious in its simplicity. Even the tomato slices seemed to be cut the right thickness. I got ours to-go and tried calling ahead-- several times. No go, so I had to order when I got there. The pizzaria (suite #203) lives on the second floor of a two story mini-mall, overlooking the street-side dining lanes on Colorado. The parking lot is also on the second floor which is convenient, the entrance of which is on Mentor, just south of Colorado. Our order took 20 minutes to prepare-- well worth the wait. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Their Caesar was a mix of iceberg and romaine and was fine. Just know that their Caesar salads are tossed-- a dealbreaker for some if you're not into lifeless salads. Just remember this if you're ordering to-go and have to drive a ways before digging in. There is no soda fountain in the restaurant. Beverages are canned. After trying their pizza I appreciate this. I also liked how their menu is simple-- there are just two salads offered and most importantly their pizza, but really, their pizza is all you'll really need. Detroit or otherwise, it's just really good pizza.“
“Good service, excellent portions, the food is super delicious and with top quality ingredients, we ordered the nachos, chilaquiles and birria, all delicious, the café de roca is also excellent and the best thing is that the tortillas are made to “
“First time coming to this lovely restaurant but definitely not the last. I was really impressed by the amazing food. We just order appetizers and dessert since we were kind of full, but we wanted to give this restaurant a try and it didn't fail us. We had the picaditas which is a great option if you wanna try the 4 moles. We also had the clayuda which was amazing. And the plantains for dessert which where so yummy. Will definitely recommend this place. It's a must try. Prices were good, good atmosphere and amazing service. Will be coming back soon and trying other plates“
“What a gem! Absolutely delicious. I had an asada burrito with a kale agua. The agua was so refreshing. The burrito was crazy! Everything fresh, perfectly seasoned. Just a perfect burrito. My wife had asada and fish tacos with a kale agua. She said these are the best tacos she's ever had. Really cool spot and the customer service was wonderful. Look forward to coming back soon!“
“Finally: the best vegan Pizza is back!!Pineapple Express! We’ve been waiting so long! It’s a festival of flavour! :DParking: The parking lot at Purgatory has a small number of spots and it’s kind of difficult to navigate through. S Utah Street has plenty of street parking.“
“We were looking for a Mediterranean spot near us via Google maps search and I was surprised that I never noticed this spot before (we come to the Sprouts next door on occasion). So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat.Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time. All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list. We'll be back agin and again as long as they're here.Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid's menu, decent portion.“
“The food was great!!! What really stood out was the service. I asked our waiter for recommendations based on our dietary restrictions, limited appetite, and wanting a good representation of Argentinean food. He recommended a couple of empanadas, a couple of sausages, and a main dish for my date and I to share. Needless to say, both my date and I were impressed. If I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to be back.Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant“
“The food is 10/10 but the crew is what really makes this place one of my favorite spots to go to. These are some of the kindest most hard working people I’ve met. It’s a great opportunity not only to enjoy incredible food but also support these great humans.“
“This place has a wonderful atmosphere, especially if you can snag a seat on the patio. The fresh air and (presumably) lovely weather make for a relaxing dining experience. The food itself is fresh and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. Service could be a touch more attentive, but overall it's a great and affordable way to enjoy a meal out.“
“5/5! Came here for breakfast. My husband and I shared the classic breakfast burrito and the vegan breakfast burrito. Both were delicious but we agreed the vegan one was a little more flavorful. The yogurt bowl with their fresh granola and raspberry puree was divine! Order that if you don’t want something so heavy but yet still a great portion size and will fill you up. Coffee was excellent too.“
“Absolutely the best cafe de olla I've EVER had so far!Atole de nuez with half the sugar was perfect! The coco atole was also delicious! Waffles, mini pancakes, and Nutella crepes were amazing. Not at as sweet as I thought. Just the right touch of sweet! Definitely coming back to try the chilaquiles! Definitely a place you must try!“
“Wax Paper Chinatown brings the same excellent sandwiches that you can get in Frogtown to a different part of LA. I usually go to the Frogtown location if I'm craving one of their sandwiches, but if I'm nearby or want a sandwich only offered on the Chinatown menu, then I order from here. There's some seating in the shared hallway area if you decide to dine in, and I've always found the service to be friendly and efficient. The Garth Trinidad is one of my favorite turkey sandwiches, combining a slightly spicy cabbage slaw with roasted turkey and aioli. Just writing about this sandwich makes me think I'm quite overdue for a Wax Paper order!“
“Ordered Large size pizza in 2-different flavors: Meat Lovers & Supreme. Actually it’s not much of diff in b-tween, except bell peppers, onions n mushroom, olives in Supreme. I prefer the Supreme w/ some moist juicy tasty bites from the veggies.Overall the topping is fresh which bring out a good flavor to it. Pizza dough itself is a bit too soft more like a bread, as I prefer a little more chewy texture. It’s 3.8.This is my very 1st time trying out based on my pizza searching when this local hole n wall spot pup up w/ a high rating score. It doesn’t even look like this business is open, as all the windows are closed, even it’s hard to find the entrance when there’s no Open sign.Cashier guy is not so friendly nor attentive. I imaging he’s from the owners family perhaps…(:“
“The food is delicious .....The family is wonderful. Great place to have a gathering...we had a birthday party In the back room. Everyone was so accommodating to us. The food was delicious and the portion were big . We had the raviolis, chicken Alfredo and spaghetti bolognese. The price was right and everyone had a great time. Shout out to Jr. who made sure whatever we needed he tried his best to accommodate.' also try the wings ...5 stars 5 stars“
“I'm so excited to have stumbled upon Holy Grounds while looking for a cafe on Google Maps! Holy Grounds is definitely a hidden gem on an otherwise lengthy street. If you enjoy cars zooming by for white noise, then this spot is perfect for you! What makes it amazing is that parking is plentiful, and there is a two hour limit - perfect for a quick work / study break. I ordered their iced latte, and by the first sip I knew this would be a good day. Unlike other espressos that I've tried ,the ones served at Holy Grounds are lighter, and the milk gives it a perfect creamy texture. If you're into beans that are not too strong but still pack a hint, I highly recommend their iced latte. There are also a variety of snacks and food available for purchase, and most of the space showcases artwork and merchandise from small businesses. Although it's a bit out of the way to drive to, I can see myself coming back whenever I'm in the area just for the ambiance... though beware that there isn't too much indoor seating - two spots at a bar is all that I saw.“
“It's so good. I had the French toast because I always get Mexican - enchiladas or chilaquiles - so wanted to change it up and it was so custardy, delicious, bathed with strawberries and bananas. I also want to support Gloria's and go against an unfair boycott of this wonderful local restaurant.“
“I was extremely sad that the sushi place in the montebello mall closed down. I came here and saw a lot of the same workers! The sushi was 11/10, ambience was 11/10 and Service was 11/10! I will totally be back and this just became my new all time favorite sushi spot compared to kaiba! Watch out Monterey park, this one is going to be in the newspapers“
“On a Sunday afternoon in March, my sister wanted to try the Japanese pancakes so came here for lunch. We parked in front on the street. Inside interior looks nice with tables and cute stuff at the counter. The staff seem nice and we got seated right away. The menu was easy to read so I ordered gyudon beef with rice and my sister ordered the original soufflé pancakes. My dish came first and everything was really good. Then the 3 pieces of pancakes arrived and it was fluffy and light after I took a bite. Next time I will try other items. I hope they get more business.“
“Pizza is delicious ? kinda thin with a thick fluffy crust. Service is good they just need someone to stand in the front at all times they get so busy everyone is putting in their fair share so it's understandable that sometimes you might have to wait a min or two to order a refill or something extra but they are always nice and friendly. As for atmosphere I liked it more when it was darker inside but that's just personal taste“
“Hidden gem of a spot next to the gas station. The hand painted sign caught my eye as we were driving past and I'm glad we stopped. Got The Heights sandwich and it did not disappoint. We ordered two sandwiches and they were made up quick, we looked around the bottle shop while we waited. They've got a great selection of waters, soda, wine, beer, and kombucha for such a small footprint. I really liked the card system they had describing the bottles of wine and where they're from. Service was friendly and I want to come back for takeaway pasta and a bottle of wine for dinner some night soon.“
“Love North Shores burgers , the food is always fresh and the burgers are made with good quality prime beef . Love their sweet potato fries with ranch on the side. The service is always amazing , always kind and attentive. They are always usually busy yet really speedy , a great place to grab a meal before a movie . I don't know ... whenever I eat here it takes me back to Maui with the really chill vibe.“
“If you have not been, you need to go! The food tastes amazing the quality of not just the food but the service is the best I've ever experienced. They got helpful staff at the front, and the manager is a class act kind of guy. He makes it feel like you just went to your family's house for lunch. You really can't beat this place!“
“OUTSTANDING, ABOVE AND BEYOND EXPERIENCE! Great customer service from start to finish. The atmosphere was very clean. The speed of our order was quick. It was such a seamless experience. The food was so delicious, very fresh ingredients with options for a vegan like myself and a meat eater like my partner. It was such a perfect meal option after our hike in the snowy mountains. Highly recommend this option if you are in the mood for Mediterranean food and in the area!“
“If you ever come, I hope you get the pleasure of meeting Erin! Erin is such a wonderful person with an infectious personality and made my whole experience so delightful. All my questions were answered and I was given great recommendations. Thank you so much Erin!I love this place because it's the easiest way to meal prep or eat healthy. It also doesn't break the bank and the food is pretty good! They also have AMAZING pastries that are healthy but taste "non-healthy" which keeps me doubly happy as it's calorie friendly but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. The store is so clean and the they have many food choices so you don't feel like you're eating the same thing every day when you're dieting.“
“I was just passing by on my way to a work meeting and was craving Yellow curry.Let me just say that the rice was fresh and fluffy, pairing just perfectly with the yellow curry and chicken. There was a generous amount of chicken, potato and carrots which some restaurants skip out on.The staff were super friendly and attentive. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area again.“
“What a gem! A no frills mom and pop restaurant. While some may think their menu is not extensive, their food truly encompasses the soul of Mexico. My partner and I came for only the breakfast items, but if what we had was amazing I can only imagine lunch and dinner items. The cafe de olla is top notch here. I could not stop drinking it! The staff were so kind and service was quick. Will have to come back to try the other items here!“
“Blaze pizza is the best, you can customize your pizza with all the toppings and sauce you like. The staff here are super friendly too! They work really hard to speed up the assembly line, especially on a busy day like pi day! They have a good attitude and pizza tastes great. Will be back to this location!“
“The best affordable sandwiches you'll ever find. Nice hidden gem in the community that provides really great quality in their sandwiches. I recommend #2 and #3. The portions are very decent for the price one sandwich can be split for 2ppl. Staff is always attentive and polite.“
“The food is hot, homemade, fresh and very tasty.I eat at Joe Peeps a lot and it is always good and tasty. You cant go wrong with their homemade food items.I even see the workers eating the food. Every body likes it.They have tons of regulars. If you habent tried their food it is time to give them a try.“
“Just picked up a meal and I had the sweetest gentleman help me out while I was in there that I felt this place needed a review. I'm new to EveryTable but love their mission and love where they strategically placed their shops. Prices are just right and the convenience + options makes it that much better. To the gentlemen that helped me out on register now, keep doing a great job! Wish I got his name but it was around 3pm today. Such friendly customer service“
“my absolute favorite local pizza place! The pizza here is SO good - not oily at all, super fresh, and huge portions. The wings are also crispy and flavorful. The meatball sub is HUGE and the meat sauce is DIVINEEEE- you can tell everything is made fresh to order here and the owners really care about the quality of what they make and keeping their customers happy. 5/5 we love you marco polo pizza!!!!“
“Lotus Kitchen is a delightful addition to LA Myanmar restaurant scene. The flavors of Myanmar truly shine through their dishes, offering a unique and authentic experience. The service here is really friendly, and the ambiance takes me back to Myanmar. The shuffling menu got me really want to check out their facebook page frequently. Recommended!!“
“i love it here so much i been coming since i was like 11 n im 21 now i love the staff's polite attentiveness the chefs are very sweet, my food is always 10/10 they just never miss everything is always delicious and fresh every time n such a beautiful ambiance i hope theres a go go's in heaven“
“Tony's has been a top sandwich spot for me. I don't usually eat sandwiches, but when I do, this place is the best. My top favorite sandwich is the pastrami with avocado. The Mexican tuna sandwich is excellent also. You can't go wrong with a sandwich from Tony's. The area is okay. There's plenty of parking in the back lot and street parking.“
“Absolutely amazing experience. Got to meet John (one of the owners) but that’s not why I like this place. The food is authentic. Reminds me of my Nonn-‘s cooking. Yes I am of American Italian descent. Great to go selection. Everything looks beautiful!Minestrone soup (which can be such a tasteless soup made by so many) is totally flavorful full of beautiful vegetables!! Sandwich I had the Italian sub was on point and you’re talking to a New Yorker !Thrilled to have found this awesome deli/eatery. By the way it’s super clean. Well organized in the staff is delightful and very helpful.Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten-free options which is really nice. They actually care and they stop and they listen.Kid-friendliness: Great patio in the back for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Great spot for handicap with wheelchair needs“
“Great ramen, great service and nice Japanese style atmosphere. Got the spicy vegan sesame ramen; could have been a bit spicier but i also didnt ask for a spice adjustment. Strong sesame taste with a slight miso taste as well. Overall good ramen, and their fried veggie spring rolls were delicious.“
“4.5 Real Score -- I think this place is great! I took off at half point only because I feel like it's really expensive at this point. I know inflation has caused most restaurants to go up in price, and I get that, but this is just my opinion. But the quality and flavor of both there and I'm rounding up to five stars. Service was good, though it wasn't fast but kabobs do take time to make. Their garlic sauce is some of my favorite and the steak was super tender and cooked medium to perfection. Chicken was pretty juicy although I've had juicy or chicken kabobs. Definitely would recommend this place and I've been coming here for years.“
“I love Mendocino Farms! So glad they came to Pasadena! Great sandwiches, salads and service. I'm never disappointed. The Chicken and Prosciutto sandwich and the Modern Caesar are my favorites, but everything here is delicious, fresh and healthy.“
“Been coming here since I was a teenager and the food has always been good and exceeded my expectations. If you get the plates you will end up with more food than if you get the wraps. The only negative part about this place is the parking. Many different stores in this place and not enough parking spaces. There are one or two handicapped spots too which are always full so try to find a spot even if it’s further away from the store.“
“Quaint place with Thai decor and good food. First time trying and their flavors are nice. I ordered a yellow curry. Not overly sweet and mild spicy was just right. Nice hot egg roll and salad with it, along with rice. I liked their tofu soup as well. Simple. Rice soup was also pretty tasty and this place has other dishes that are not the typical Thai menu items that people usually know about. The owner was nice and atmosphere too.“
