Some of the best tacos in San Jose. I say this as a person that can only mostly eat chicken though so take my review as a grain of salt if you're a red meat eater. The chicken tacos are the best. No chunky, chewy pieces of meat that you'd get at other spots. The chicken is finely chopped and flavorful. I ordered the Little Crispy Tacos (carne asada) that came out to $8 for 3. I was surprised how flavorful these mini tacos were. I honestly thought it was going to be like a tostada, but I was wrong lol. The food truck is parked on Parrott St. right outside the Costco Gas on Senter road. Just be mindful of your surroundings, there are homeless people in the area that will ask you to buy them food. To be honest, finding Mexican food that sticks out amongst others in the Bay Area has been a challenge. That was until I came across Cali Spartan. This place has me coming back at least once a week for their crispy tacos and signature orange sauce. The food is so damn affordable and perfect for a college student budget.
