Okayama Sushi #1 offers a variety of food, with some dishes standing out more than others. The lunch bento is solid, with ok chicken and fine salmon at a decent price, and the salmon sashimi is a quite hefty portion. However, the lunch poke is FANTASTIC, one of the best simple poke ever, especially for the incredible pricing. The Star Wars themed rolls are delicious. The fried scallops in a bento box are tiny, but the short ribs are solid, and the grilled saba is perfectly cooked. The tempura veggies, particularly the carrot and sweet potato, are sliced too thick and don't fry through properly. The alcohol, like peach soju and strawberry nigori, has no burn. Service is a mixed experience. Some waiters are quick and husslin, making it worth every cent, while another visit features super slow service due to being understaffed, with miso soup and salad arriving after the bento boxes. One server is friendly and apologetic, even giving a free order of dumplings. The restaurant is a cute little place with plenty of decorations such as funkos. It is a reliable spot for well made sushi rolls and bento boxes that will satisfy any cravings.
