“I love Mediterranean food, and sorely missed the Armenian Gourmet in Sunnyvale when Aram retired. However, Tio's has fulfilled my expectations for delicious food at a great price. I never liked falafal until I ate it at Tio's where it is moist and flavorful, compared to other restaurants where it is as dry as cardboard. I love the lamb and vegetarian sampler. The staff is friendly, helpful and remembers us by name. I have always been very happy with my whole experience there.“

“I've been a customer here for about 20 years. Still one of the best and most nutritious options in the area for breakfast and lunch. Today I had the lentil soup and lamb burger with a side salad. The lamb was perfectly seasoned, and everything was fresh. This place will always hold a place in my heart.“

I got the sunrise scramble with chicken and it was amazing by itself, but then I added the hotsauce they have made someone local, and it just elevated an already delicious dish. Caddy corner from San Leandro BART (right across from the Wendys) so super convenient for commuters if you know its there. Its tucked away so if youre not looking youll miss it. Its worth seeking out!“

“Hidden gem for new parents. This place is awesome for lunch. They have a few dishes eat day and they change it up frequently. I’ve never gone and not wanted what I’ve seen - and I’m picky.

“This review is just for the Sichuan Hot Chicken which I've eaten twice. Overall it's pretty good, but it's not great, and I really want it to be great. In concept this is a really thoughtful and well-executed sandwich. It has great veggies and really crisp, juicy chicken. It reminds me of what I had in the night markets in Taiwan. The breading is good too, although I feel it could be a bit thicker.

Where it falls short for me is in flavor. The Sichuan spices are there, but they are overpowered by the sheer amount of chili powder and salt that the chicken is breaded in. I was looking for more in the sauce as well - honestly maybe just adding more sauce would accomplish that. If I could get more of that peppercorn flavor, less salt, and more sauce, I think it'd be a 10/10.“

The beef was very tasty and tender. The rice was perfectly cooked and salad was fresh and crispy. My wife had the chicken kabob plate, which came with rice, salad, naan, hummus. The food portions were great and the price is amazing, and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere to enjoy lunch. I’ll definitely be taking the drive from Concord again here in the near future. As this place is a winner every time.“

“Absolutely loved the falafel bowl, with a huge portion size. Would highly recommend their grandma’s sauce to top it up, very flavourful, lightly spiced, perfect to balance the hummus and falafel.

The falafel burger with sweet potato fries was equally underwhelming. The burger was tasteless and dry with falafel as the patty and just ketchup. Would have been so much nicer with hummus or any other sauces on top. The fries were hard and chewy, definitely seemed refried and not fresh.

The strawberry lychee cooler was deliciously soothing, not too sweet, just perfect.

The baklava was too soggy and sweet. Not terrible but also not great.

Overall, the bowls are a safe bet which will not disappoint“
