“Such a lovely experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such warmth. The gentleman who helped us was not only kind but clearly passionate about what he does, and we enjoyed a great conversation with him. “Best veggie burger in San Leandro hands down! Veggie burgers are pretty predictable these days, with a few common veggie patties out there - Blue Dish uses the Beyond Patty, but I must say, they dress it up with fresh, thoughtfully-arranged produce and a delightful melted cheese skirt. They cook it nicely, and sandwich it between a tasty soft bun. I ordered the side of fries, and the seasoning was nice. I will definitely return!“

“Super relaxed place with insanely nice staff and delicious food and full coffee bar. I got the sunrise scramble with chicken and it was amazing by itself, but then I added the hotsauce they have made someone local, and it just elevated an already delicious dish. Caddy corner from San Leandro BART (right across from the Wendys) so super convenient for commuters if you know its there. Its tucked away so if youre not looking youll miss it. Its worth seeking out!“

“We recently rented Tarocco for our baby shower and it was perfect. The owner, Sequoia, is thoughtful, energetic, and eager to make sure your event goes well. She helped us design a menu that worked around specific food accommodations, her communication was clear and timely -- really everything you could ask for from a host. After the event we received many comments about how great the food was and how well suited the space was for our group of ~50. Would highly recommend Tarocco to anyone considering an event there.“

“Very good main dish (salmon raviolis in lemon cream sauce) and sides. So many delicious dishes to choose from! The only negative was the blood orange cheesecake. The flavor was excellent, but texture was rubbery, like it had been sitting around awhile. The entire top layer slipped off....“

“This review is just for the Sichuan Hot Chicken which I've eaten twice. Overall it's pretty good, but it's not great, and I really want it to be great. In concept this is a really thoughtful and well-executed sandwich. It has great veggies and really crisp, juicy chicken. It reminds me of what I had in the night markets in Taiwan. The breading is good too, although I feel it could be a bit thicker.

Where it falls short for me is in flavor. The Sichuan spices are there, but they are overpowered by the sheer amount of chili powder and salt that the chicken is breaded in. I was looking for more in the sauce as well - honestly maybe just adding more sauce would accomplish that. If I could get more of that peppercorn flavor, less salt, and more sauce, I think it'd be a 10/10.“

“BEST falafel and kofte! So moist and fresh. Really impressed with the food. The staff is SO nice. Also, the little sitting in the area is pleasant. Prices are great, especially for the Turkish delight. You get what you pay for and some. I am looking forward to coming back here with friends and family. 10/10!“

“After trying tahina, I don't think that I will be returning to my go-to Falafel spot anymore. Tahina offers a variety of vegan options that are clearly labelled on the menu such as; eggplant dip, a trio of hummus (cilantro, regular, and red pepper), fries, chickpea salad, and more. You can either go for a plate, salad, or gyro/wrap but I decided to go with the plant based lamb plate given that's something I do not frequently see at other Mediterranean spots. The "lamb" skewers were delicious as was the chickpea salad and cilantro hummus that I ordered as sides. Not pictured but I had a side of fries and they were seasoned with mediterranean seasonings & paired well with a cilantro dipping sauce. The plus of this is that it's actually affordable to eat here and the portions are big!“

“This place is like the Chipotle of Vegan food; It's great! I really like it!

However, their prices are bit high for all vegan ingredients when I can get a vegan meal from Chipotle, a few blocks up the street at the shopping center, for $2-3 less.
