“I finally got to try this Smoked BBQ. Overall I say the Pulled Pork Plate they offer this time is good. They are not a regular BBQ restaurant with regular hours. What I would do is sign up through their website: ibringdasmoke.com and get notification when he cooks. Ordering process was easy and painless and the same for pick up. I was hoping for some brisket, but unfortunately this time around was only pulled pork. So I ordered and tried it. The dry rub coasted on the pork was perfectly seasoned on the outter area, I wish the inner & center meats would have the same. But the pork was very tender went well with the smoked pear bourbon habanero sauce. 4 Stars The Delta Slaw is one the the best coleslaw I ever had. Made with MAYO-FREE combination of hand-cut green and purple cabbage, orange and red peppers, carrots, and green onion in a brown sugar, apple cider vinegar & celery seed dressing. 5 Stars. The Smoked Poblano Mac with fusilli pasta wasn't creamy or cheesy cheddar and gruyere sauce was a little water down. 3 Stars. Next time hopefully I can substitute, the Mac with extra slaw. The Brown Sugar Bourbon Banana Pudding, all I'm going to say is WOW!!!!! YOU MUST TRY!!! On your next smoked, please have briskets and ribs..“
“As I was waiting hangrily 45 minutes after I placed my order and 30 minutes after the ETA on my phone this painting soothed me until I ultimately received what I drove over an hour to get. Yes, it's that good. Please order with your phone, not in person. It makes things operate more smoothly for everyone and decreases the wait time for the crack. I mean food. Well I don't know what they put in their chicken, but full disclosure you might start experiencing side effects if you don't get your fix. Consider yourself warned. It can become a pricey habit and there is no rehab to get you off their sauce. Have you twitching like Tyrone Biggums for a "Sando with training wheels".“
“Very tasty crawfish étouffée, shrimp creole (both pleasantly but not excessively spicy), and voodoo shrimp (unlike what you might expect from the name, this is savory but not spicy, great for our low-spice companion). Nice service. Laid-back casual atmosphere with live music, but not too loud to talk easily.“
“That was so good that by the time I ate one piece when I walked across the bridge to the train station. I swear I wanted to turn around and get more even though I had a big box of chicken. I am sitting here fantasizing about eating more right now. Until we meet again Rosemary Chicken until we meet again!!!“
“Chef Lala of Jusla Eats was a joy to work with. She was professional, responsive, and runs an efficient operation. Her food was top notch - I ordered the honey garlic chicken, fried catfish, mac and cheese, greens, yams, banana pudding and peach cobbler for an extended family and friends meal. Everything was cooked to perfection, and seasoned just right. Everyone went back for seconds, and raved about the food. I started recommending her to my friends before I even left the reception!“
“By far the best bbq I've had in the bay. I never post on yelp and had to for this. I got the waygu brisket and it was phenomenal, a great crust and smoke ring while being super tender. The owner Harmas is a really nice guy, I wish they were open more.“
“Oh my the place resembles a true image of a "hole in the wall", but Oh!, don't let the location nor look fool you. The food is absolutely amazing! The chicken will have you thinking, "This reminds me of home!" The sides were delicious too and lastly, the counter staff were very polite and respectful. When I'm in the area, I'm most definitely going to return to, Gus' World Famous Fried Chicken!!!“
“Omg the chicken and fries here are SO GOOD! Chicken is breaded perfectly and the fries are so yummy. I got the chicken tenders and they were HUGE (pause) only complain would be that I ordered them spicy and they were not. If you like to dip, order extra sauce!! Can’t wait to go back!!“
“The service was excellent, timely, and friendly. I had the shrimp and grits and it was exactly right: consistency, cheese, the shrimp, everything was top of the line. Also had a cream biscuit and jelly and let me tell you: you're not beating this anywhere close to the bay.I can't recommend it enough and will absolutely be back. The only drawback was the outside seating wasn't good: the table was not sturdy (which honestly i would not have put up with anywhere else, i would have left. so that's how good the food is) and it was cold even though there were heaters.“
“I got the 333 combo with three fried oysters, three fried shrimp, and three pieces of fried catfish. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY! Moist and tender meat with a crispy crust. Absolutely classic. The combo was a lot of food! It came with Louisiana style hot sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup, as well as plenty of fries.Service was cheerful and very friendly. There isn't any seating, so it's really take-out only. The one minor criticism I have is that the fries were pretty mediocre, but they really aren't the main attraction here anyway.“
“Absolutely delicious! This place knows what it’s doing! We loved everything we tried and liked it so much that we ate here TWICE on our short visit from out of state! My husband loved the Jambalaya and hasn’t stopped talking about it all month! We tried to recreate it at home - it’s just not the same lol we miss it!I had corn flour bartered shrimp (gf!) and the sauce they served with it?! Mouth watering. We also LOVED the brown sugar lemonade. We ordered one and liked it so much we ordered another! We also ordered the crab Cajun fries which were good, but we liked the shrimp and jambalaya much better, and that was what we re-ordered when we went back! They were very nice about my allergy and didn’t make me feel like a burden! There isn’t a lot of seating, so we ordered it to go the second time. Parking is easy and plentiful when we went at least!Dietary restrictions: They did have gf options, I’m not sure about dairy free or others but they were really nice so I encourage you to ask!Parking: Free parking and lots of spotsKid-friendliness: Kid friendly but not a lot of seating, the seating is narrow, I didn’t see any high chairs but they could have some I didn’t see.Wheelchair accessibility: You could definitely get a wheelchair in here - but I wouldn’t recommend it during peak hours because the seating is so squished and it would be hard to maneuver.“
“I lived in Austin for a long time, so I'm familiar with the style Stay Gold is aiming for. They do a good job! I wouldn't rate it top tier vs some of the places you have around Central Texas, but it's solid.Huge portion of really good brisket! I was actually surprised how much meat I got for the price. Very generous, especially by Bay Area standards! The only minus I would give them is: I'd prefer more onion. But that's a minor quibble. So the food is great. Also I give this place a top atmosphere rating. It's down to earth and unpretentious, a genuine dive.As a bonus, they host live music and--one of the best events in the Bay--Oakland Drunken Film Festival.Long live Stay Gold!“
“One of the best fried chicken in a long time. It looks dry but there's a lot of juice and flavor once you get into it. If it was delivered I don't think it would taste as good. The fried cod was good but not great because it wasn't juicy or buttery soft. The cornbread sides were yummy. The Mac and cheese was cheeeeesy and thick and medium spicy. Collard greens were normal. Green beans were sweet and yummy. Fries were normal fries.I asked for tap water since I didn't want a drink and the server looked surprised (and partly disgusted because I wanted faucet water?) and asked if I wanted bottled water instead. I said sure so we could end the conversation and didn't see the charge on the final receipt. I wasn't sure if the server forgot to add it or bottled water is free. Overall not a complaint but if you want to avoid drink confusion, either don't order water or bring your own lol“
