I first experienced one of Kathy’s cakes when my fiancé got it for my birthday! It was delicious, moist, light, zesty, not too sweet, and had berries interspersed—just how I like it! We loved it so much that we decided to get the same cake for our Sonoma wedding! Kathy was a pleasure to work with and her prices are surprisingly very affordable!! We are beyond thrilled with how it came out! Thank you so much Kathy!!!
After a less than enjoyable experience at whole food's bakery, I came to Kathy's creative cakes for a last minute order to save my daughter's birthday. I have been a regular customer here for years and this is by far the best and kindest bakery in San Mateo, with a baking team that will never fail to pleasantly surprise you. Every cake and cupcake ordered from here has been spectacular.

Giving a 4-star rating because I don't want to damage their business, however I wouldn't use them again for a few reasons. 1. Kathy is extremely hard to get a hold of, she never returns your phone calls and when you email she'll take daaaays to reply. If you're lucky to have her reply. I had to go in to ask questions. Which should have been a red flag for me and I should have gone with someone else. My bad. - when you are trying to plan for a party, this behavior is frustrating....read full review
