“We came here for a late lunch. You walk in and grab a menu, then stand in line to order. The first thing I noticed was the smell of the food. It was also quite loud. There is a mix of high top and tables. There’s someone standing to help direct you to a seat which may be at a shared table once you get your number from your order. I appreciated the all gender bathrooms. The sandwich was made well. The citrus dressing was refreshing. The rice and beans had great flavor. When you walk by, you can see the rotisserie chicken and ribs, which look amazing and tasted really good.“

“When I went there, they had no lines and the churros were only $2.84 for 3 churros. They were very kind to me and quick to serve. I was craving for churros and started searching. Lo and behold, there is a churro restaurant just exclusively churros set aside sandwiches and smoothies but now I know there is a churro place when I am craving for churrosParking: Good luck finding a place to park as their parking lot is a shared lot.“

“I don't normally leave reviews on yelp but we had such a great experience I could not not leave a review. We came in 2 min before closing and the owner Bill graciously welcomed us in. We had the white bean soup, beet salad and sliders and sangria. The food was amazing! As we were leaving we had a great chat with Bill and he told us about his 15 year history of owning the restaurant. I moved to San Rafael 4 years ago and this was honestly my best culinary experience. We will be back!“

Churrasco Chap

Muchas gracias“

“Just passed by the El Lucerito Restaurant, and I'll come back when I'm done...I had to make a quick run to Estanzio Defrancesco Escobar's cape factory to drop off the Muleta and Estoque that was used by the bull fighter Manolete when he was gored by El Torro Raton, it's a very special cape and sword, and he's going to have it on display in his shop there on 4th street. The El Lucerito has Amazing food, I only got plain scrambled eggs, they were spectacular. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Ate a second time at Cocina Antigua. The food is delicious. I got the chicken tostada and the flavors and spice of the shredded chicken is nice. The portion size was good for the price. My husband got the caldo, chicken soup and that portion is also on the large side. The owner and staff are so kind and friendly, nice atmosphere. The little store attached has some Mexican and Central-American groceries and other food items.“

“Sol food was yummy and very comforting. We got the vegetariano from the combination options and got maduros, mariqitas from the plantain options. The combo plate was so soothing to our palates and every plantain option was divine! I'm more of a fan of ripe sweet plantains so maduros were my fave, closely followed by mariqitas which was fried raw plantain with an awesome dipping sauce. Dine in was available only in the San Rafael location and was not an option in the Mill valley location. We took the food to go and found a picnic spot nearby. Parking was easy to find, probably because we went during the late afternoon.“

“We stopped by after being in town for a few days and needed some food at about 2pm on a Sunday. To the pro's: Quick service Highly recommend the ceviche if you like fresh options. Not our favorites: Although we tried the Chariza and Pabil tacos, we didn't want the whole plate with salad rice and beans. You cannot order ala carte and with 2 tacos to an order for $16 for the plate, it's not something I'd recommend if you're looking for just tacos. The mezcal marg was also decent but not my favorite. Worth a try if you're looking for a meal and not just a quick bite though.“
